What To Do When The Boss Takes A Liking To You

What To Do When The Boss Takes A Liking To You chapter 64

Will it really feel good?

Xu Le exclaimed, not seeing any problem in calling him “President Lan,” but since he was already with Lan Qing, addressing each other like this seemed a bit distant?

“Wan… Wannia?” Xu Le tried calling.

Lan Qing lightly tapped his forehead, not forcing him. “Forget it, you can call me whatever you want, as long as you like it.”

Xu Le touched his forehead, smiled foolishly for a moment, but decided to continue with what he hadn’t finished saying.

“Uh… about that junior brother from the art academy, although he did confess to me…” Here, he saw Lan Qing’s softened expression, listened carefully, and continued reassuringly.

“But I can assure you, I only see him as a younger colleague I get along with. Most importantly, he already has a boyfriend now and they’re very happy, so there’s nothing between us!”

Lan Qing’s deep blue eyes stared at Xu Le, silent. Xu Le inexplicably felt a bit nervous.

“W… What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like this?” Xu Le surrendered, like a scared little dog, nervously tightening his non-existent tail.

Lan Qing smiled faintly, finding his little boyfriend so adorable.

“I didn’t doubt your past, because your present and future belong only to me. But how will you prove to me the difference between him and me?”

The last question was purely teasing.

As expected, Xu Le immediately looked distressed.

“You’re my boyfriend, so of course it’s different from my other friends.” Xu Le didn’t understand the meaning behind Lan Qing’s question.

“True, it is different. But how do you want to prove this difference?” Lan Qing’s expression softened even more.

Xu Le racked his brains, finally at a loss. He simply unbuckled his seatbelt, leaned over proactively, and hugged Lan Qing’s neck.

Their warm breaths intertwined, their noses almost touching.

It was Xu Le’s first time being so proactive, and Lan Qing raised an eyebrow slightly, looking at him with gentle eyes.

Looking into his deep blue eyes, Xu Le gathered courage and tentatively licked the corner of his lips.

Lan Qing remained unmoved, his eyes encouraging.

Encouraged, Xu Le’s courage rose. This time, instead of timidly testing the waters, he kissed Lan Qing directly.

Due to his lack of experience, his kiss lacked finesse and technique, but this innocence and awkwardness made the kiss pure and beautiful.

Lan Qing’s hand involuntarily wrapped around Xu Le’s waist, half-circled in his embrace, allowing Xu Le to focus on the kiss without worrying about balance.

Until Xu Le felt he had to stop, he leaned back, his face turning red, breathing heavily.

Finally catching his breath, he held Lan Qing a bit tighter and seriously replied, “The difference is that I only want to kiss you, and I will only kiss you.”

For him, this was a bit too bold, sweat beaded on his forehead from the kiss, embarrassed.

Lan Qing held him even tighter, responding with equal sincerity, “Me too.”

He really liked how Xu Le became softer after kissing, allowing them to fit better together.

In the secluded car, with an intimate atmosphere, after reluctantly parting from their passionate kiss, both in their prime, sparks of crossing the line could easily ignite.

“Meow~”

Just as Lan Qing’s hand was about to move further down Xu Le’s back, an untimely meow sounded.

“Meow~”

Fa Cai meowed again, hopping lightly onto the center console, staring at Xu Le.

Although Lan Qing wanted to continue embracing his little boyfriend and do something more intimate, now was obviously not the right place or time.

He could only pat Xu Le’s back, clear his throat, and in a husky voice, said softly, “Let’s go back first.”

Xu Le snapped out of his daze, hurriedly sat back, fumbling to fasten his seatbelt, and took Fa Cai from the console. “Oh, um, let’s go back first.”

His heart was uncontrollably pounding, the familiar sensation making his face flush.

Although he now had a boyfriend, except for kissing, these days with Lan Qing had mostly been platonic. Despite occasional thoughts, he quickly suppressed them.

Go back?

Did Lan Qing mean that after they returned, something would happen between them? He wasn’t mentally prepared for that yet, but since they were already together, it was only a matter of time…

Lan Qing focused on driving while Xu Le searched for information on his phone.

Information about that aspect.

He had never thought he would need to look up such information in his life, but now he was actively searching for it.

Afraid of Lan Qing noticing anything strange, he nervously dimmed his phone’s brightness.

Reading those pieces of information made his face red and ears hot, wondering if doing such a thing would really feel good?

Thinking that he might be with Lan Qing tonight… his face felt as if it had been scorched, hot and tingling.

Lan Qing glanced at Xu Le from time to time while checking the road conditions.

Xu Le held the cat in his arms, phone in one hand, head slightly lowered, reading seriously. Whatever he saw seemed to complicate his expression.

“What are you looking at?” Lan Qing asked casually.

Xu Le, feeling guilty, instinctively covered his phone screen upon hearing his question. “Oh, nothing much. Just came across a funny blog post, haha…”

Seeing he didn’t want to elaborate, Lan Qing didn’t press further. “Let’s go to the supermarket later and buy some things to take back.”

Xu Le was taken aback, unsure what exactly to buy. Could it be those “things”?

He stammered, “Uh, sure, let’s buy.”

“Alright, we’ll choose flavors you like,” Lan Qing said.

Xu Le was even more surprised. Flavors? Did those “things” come in different flavors?

“I… I’m fine with anything. How can they have different flavors…” Xu Le muttered awkwardly.

Lan Qing glanced at him, his deep blue eyes soft and calm. “Of course they have flavors. I need to know what you like before deciding what to buy.”

“Huh?” Xu Le was mortified and wanted to find a hole to hide in. “I really am okay with anything, just… um, nothing too stimulating.”

“Then I won’t get anything too spicy.”

Spicy?! Xu Le was shocked. How could there be spicy ones?

“Just normal… is fine, not spicy.”

“Okay, I’ll go by your preference,” Lan Qing said.

Standing in the grocery section of the supermarket, facing a wide array of ingredients, Xu Le suddenly realized he had completely misunderstood earlier.

Lan Qing was talking about flavors and spiciness of food?!

No wonder it sounded strange! Xu Le felt like he was being incredibly foolish.
