“Sigh, it’s already trending news.”

Malken stood on the sofa, stepping on Leizhe’s back, holding a tablet in his hand, constantly scrolling through the comments under the news.

“What are people saying?” Laizhe mumbled, lying on the sofa, enjoying Malken’s violent massage.

“They demand the Margs to comply with the General’s will and recognize the validity of the agreement.” Malken’s gaze fell on the tablet, not paying attention to his position, and accidentally stepped on Laizhe’s neck, provoking his protest.

“Are you trying to murder me?”

“This is the level of service you get for free.”

Malken changed direction, continuing to step on Laizhe’s back along the sides of his spine.

“Now public opinion is basically formed. If nothing unexpected happens, we can call for a nationwide referendum.” Malken said, “But many people still hope for a peaceful union between the Marg people and the civilians.”

“Captain and Adolph?” Laizhe turned his head, “They don’t know how cunning Adolph is.”

“After all, the leader is dead, and people need to see new hope.” Malken lifted his gaze from the tablet, thoughtfully saying, “The image of the Marg people hasn’t collapsed yet. If the negotiator terminates the engagement, it may provoke people’s dissatisfaction .”

“So what?” Laizhe asked, “Do you think klet will stand by idly and watch?”

“True.” Malken nodded, “But since the boss is a Marg, it might as well be a union between the two of them.”

While saying this, Malken was fully focused on thinking, not noticing that he had come near Laizhe’s tailbone. his foot slipped through the gap between Laizhe’s butt and hit something.

A scream of agony echoed in the lounge, and Malken hurriedly dropped the tablet, flustered, and said, “I-I’m sorry…”

Back at Miller’s villa,…..

“How is the force?”

“Mmm… comfortable…”

Shen lay on the sofa, resting his head on Klet’s thigh, enjoying a relaxing head massage. The rough fingertips pressed on his temples, gentle yet firm, perfectly relieving Shen siwei’s fatigue.

“Do you need it in other places?” klet asked.

“Yes please.” Shen siwei closed his eyes comfortably.

He felt klet stand up, place a cushion behind his head, and then turned him over, changing his position to lie face down on the sofa.

Both hands gripped his lower back, and the tense muscles were kneaded by thumbs, as if a glacier melted into flowing water. Shen’s body didn’t resist the force, so he said, “Apply a bit more pressure.”

Suddenly, a knee squeezed in between his thighs, and before Shen could react, the hands on his lower back applied force, making him involuntarily utter a “Hmm.”

“Are you trying to break my waist?” Shen turned his head displeased, and met klet’s deep eyes.

He was taken aback for a moment, then climbed up and said, “Let’s stop here.”

Little did he know that as soon as he finished speaking, klet pressed him back down.

“Do you know how much I  had missed you?” klet’s voice was somewhat offended, as if still complaining about the engagement.

Shen Siwei couldn’t help but find it funny, “We’ve only been apart for a day.”

“I don’t want to be away from you even for a day.” klet said and leaned in for a kiss, “Now you won’t suffocate, right?”

“Wait, now is not the time…” Shen tried to push klet away, but their lips had already met.

With the support of spider capsules, Shen and klet’s tongues “battled” each other. Wherever klet pursued, Shen would evade, but finally seizing an opportunity, he bit klet’s lips hard and pushed him away, saying, “Don’t waste my oxygen on such things.”

“Waste?” klet frowned, his eyes filled with displeasure.

“And also…” Shen didn’t finish his sentence before klet kissed him again. The passionate kiss should have been tender, but it carried a hint of aggression, as if he was punishing Shen Siwei’slack of cooperation.

But Shen would never indulge a brat.

He lifted his knee and side-kicked, kicking klet onto the decorative fireplace. At the same time, the sliding door suddenly opened from the outside, and Adolph’s figure appeared at the door.

—Shen wanted to say that after the news was released, Adolph would definitely come looking for them. Now was not the time for intimacy, right? But klet was too impatient

Adolph’s footsteps paused by the loud noise, and he looked at klet, who was plastered against the wall, with suspicion, and asked, “What are you doing?”

klet calmly got off the wall, sat silently next to Shen siwei, as if nothing had happened.

Naturally, Shen wouldn’t answer either. He frowned slightly and said, “Don’t you knock?”

“This is the top floor, my territory.” Adolph walked into the room, looking down on the two people on the sofa, “I can go wherever I want.”

Perhaps feeling frustrated about the Miller incident, Adolph could only find a sense of superiority through such matters. He glared at Shen and continued, “What happened to a promise being a promise?”

“I changed my mind after coming back.” Shen said lightly, “Shouldn’t you be used to this by now? You were born into a political family; you shouldn’t trust anyone’s words easily.”

Of course, Shen siwei didn’t think Adolph was a naive person. In the end, it was just a matter of underestimating the enemy.

“Why don’t you just force me to step down?” Adolf asked aggressively. “Aren’t you good at fighting?”

Shen Siwei was cautious, suspecting that Adolf now wanted him to make a move and then reverse the public opinion by portraying himself as the victim. But honestly, at this point, Adolf could hardly control the direction of things anymore.

“That wouldn’t be interesting,” Shen Siwei said. “Everything should be done properly and justified.”

“Don’t think that by revealing the suicide incident first, I won’t be able to do anything to you,” Adolf said. “There are still many doubts about this matter, and I have ways to change the conclusion to murder!”

“Oh,” Shen Siwei remained indifferent. “There are so many people waiting outside the mansion to mourn General Miller. Are you sure you don’t want to attend the funeral first?”

The death of a leader was a major event for the Tree of Life, and under no circumstances should the funeral be handled indelicately.

Adolf seemed to want to make more threats but realized that Shen Siwei wouldn’t be provoked. In the end, he left in frustration.

The elevator door closed again, and Shen Siwei didn’t want to be disturbed anymore. He punched the elevator system, breaking it. Now, if he wanted to enter or leave the bedroom, he would have to manually lift the heavy metal door.

“Klet?” Shen Siwei walked back to the sofa and looked at someone who was sulking, tilting his head.

Klet turned to look outside the French window without saying a word.

“My head seems to be hurting again.” Shen Siwei leaned against klet’s thigh. “Can you massage it for me?”

“This is the second time,” Klet finally looked at Shen Siwei, his face clearly showing “annoyance.” “You’ve pushed me away twice now.”

“Yeah, it won’t happen again next time i’m sorry,” Shen Siwei said, lightening his tone, dragging his words. “Klet, my head hurts. Do you think there’s a problem with the chip?”

“Is it really hurting?” The annoyance on his face disappeared instantly, and Klet nervously massaged Shen Siwei’s temples. “Is it better now?”

“It’s better,” Shen Siwei closed his eyes comfortably.

The sound of shattering glass filled the luxurious room, with glass shards flying everywhere.

“Why is it so difficult for you to make it look like suicide?” Adolf smashed the vase on the coffee table and angrily yelled at the person sitting on the sofa. “What’s with the sleeping pills? What’s with the farewell letter?”

“Sleeping pills are in case he resists.  As for the farewell letter, if I’m going to make it look like suicide, I need a reasonable excuse, don’t I?”

“Do you think it’s reasonable? That my father felt guilty towards mere civilians?” Adolf suppressed his anger. “If it weren’t for your unnecessary actions, I wouldn’t have suddenly thought of shifting the blame to Shen Siwei and that fugitive.”

” blaming them was a smooth move. But who knew what was up with that Shen Siwei?” Adolf paced irritably. “Now, because of that farewell letter, they are stubbornly clinging to the idea of suicide. I have to find a way to prove it was murder. Am I digging my own grave?”

At this point, Adolf suddenly looked at the person on the sofa and said, “No, it’s you who dug the hole for me, right? If you had handled things properly, i wouldn’t be having so many problems right now”

“You made me fake the suicide, and I did as you asked. I couldn’t predict these subsequent events.”

“Damn it.” Adolf picked up a decorative object from the side cabinet and smashed it onto the floor. “What do you suggest we do now?”

Tiny fragments flew towards the sofa, and the person tilted their head, avoiding them. They adjusted their glasses on the bridge of their nose and said, “I don’t understand political matters. You are the decision-maker, think of a solution.”

“What else can I think of?” Adolf angrily retorted. “Now, civilians are demanding a nationwide referendum. Unless something unexpected happens, the Mag people have to give up power. How can I bear this responsibility?”

“I don’t know either.”

“What do you know? You only know your research. What good is that?”

“My job is to do research.”

Adolf felt like he was talking to a brick wall. He rubbed his hair at the back of his head with his hand, and in a moment of self-defeat, he said, “Am I really going to be on equal footing with the civilians? What a joke!”

“Perhaps there’s no other choice. Did you see the statement released by the Nightingale? The Deep Sea Energy Station is still operational. Just this fact is enough to shake the Mag people’s rule.”

“You’re right, first we need to debunk this matter.” Adolf seemed to have suddenly found a new direction, continuing to think about counterattack methods. “I need to let the civilians know that no one can approach the deep sea. Nightingale must be lying.”

“But if another energy station appears like Z City in the Western District, beyond top-level control, the civilians will know who is lying.”

“Damn it!”

The person sighed and stood up, saying, “Let’s focus on organizing the funeral for now.”
