Top edge chapter 50

Shen Siwei seemed to be happier than he had been in a long time. There were no other emotions mixed in, just pure happiness.

However, before he could have a fulfilling conversation with Laizhe, someone suddenly approached and grabbed his wrist, impatiently saying, “Come with me.”

Apart from impatience, there was also a hint of irritability in the tone.

Shen Siwei couldn’t help but feel a little puzzled. He had just finished the surgery, so why would Klet react that way?

He had originally wanted to continue chatting with Laizhe, but now it seemed more important to soothe the sulking person in front of him.

“Laizhe,” Shen Siwei followed Klet’s pace and turned back to say, “We’ll talk later.”

“Where are you going?”

Laizhe clearly hadn’t had enough of the conversation and wanted to follow, but Malken spoke in a low voice, “It’s their private conversation, let them be?”

“Huh?” Laizhe stopped in his tracks, and just watched his captain being dragged away.

After the barber shop building was bombed, only half of the structure remained, exposing the interior.

But ,the stairs were unharmed, allowing access from the ground floor to the rooftop.

As they came from the basement, the sky outside was still dark, with the moon hanging lonely in the air.

Shen Siwei glanced at the time and realized that he had slept for a day and a night. He didn’t feel any discomfort though and wasn’t sure how the surgery went.

After stepping onto the last step of the rooftop, Shen Siwei intended to ask Klet something, but the person walking in front suddenly turned around and hugged him tightly without warning.

“Klet?”

The arms around his back hugged tightly, as if trying to crush and merge him into his body.

Shen Siwei had to tilt his chin up and use both hands to support Klet’s waist, gently pushing outward with a little force, “What’s wrong with you?”

Just when he managed to push away a bit, Klet’s strong arms pulled him back into another hug.

“Why didn’t you look at me when you woke up?” Klet slightly bowed his back and buried his head in the curve of Shen Siwei’s neck, appearing extremely offended.

Shen Siwei couldn’t help but find it amusing, “Are you sulking again because of this?”

Klet didn’t respond and increased the strength in his grip.

Shen Siwei couldn’t help but start to wonder. If someone else were held like this by Klet, their spine might have been broken.

“Alright, don’t be angry.” Shen Siwei patted Klet’s back in a soothing manner, “I haven’t seen Laizhe for a long time. Just think about it, if you had a friend whom you hadn’t seen for more than twenty years, wouldn’t you be excited to see them?”

He thought those words were logical enough to calm Klet’s little tantrum. But as soon as he finished speaking, Klet suddenly increased his strength again, making it difficult for him to breathe.

Shen Siwei was not a patient person, and he had already given him the greatest patience he could. But if the little brat couldn’t be soothed, then he had no choice but to deal with it.

“Klet.” Shen Siwei’s voice turned serious, and he applied force with his hands.

His body leaned back, hands pushing open Klet’s chest, and he frowned, ” you are being unreasonable?”

“You said your name is Shen Siwei,” Klet finally spoke, his deep voice carrying a hoarse tone.

So, he’s still upset about Shen Siwei hiding his real name?

Shen Siwei opened his mouth, intending to explain that he didn’t deliberately hide it, but before he could say anything, Klet continued, “Laizhe told me you were dead,.”

Klet looked straight at Shen Siwei, as if he couldn’t get enough of looking at him, his gaze focused and profound. “You’re called Shen Siwei,”

Shen Siwei replied, puzzled, “Yes.”

“Twenty-five years ago,” Klet said slowly, “the person who saved me was called Shen Siwei.”

The crease between Shen Siwei’s eyebrows instantly relaxed, and he stared at Klet in astonishment, “What are you saying?”

“I’ve been looking for the person for twenty years, and it’s you,” Klet said, holding Shen Siwei tightly again, his swelling emotions seemed to only be conveyed through strength, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

Shen Siwei still didn’t quite understand.

In his memory, he volunteered for physical modification, and he didn’t remember anything about a mission related to Klet twenty-five years ago.

However, during his conversation with Laizhe earlier, he did realize that something had happened before. For example, Laizhe thought he had been killed in the explosion, and Moran hadn’t told him about those things.

In that case, Moran seemed to have not only implanted false memories in him but also blocked some memories that could be detrimental to Moran.

“I don’t remember,” Shen Siwei pursed his lips, “So, what you’re saying is that I came down to carry out a mission twenty-five years ago,and saved you?”

“Yes,” Klet slightly released his grip on Shen Siwei and looked at him, saying, “Including this time, it has happened three times.”

“No way,” Shen Siwei muttered, “I don’t defy orders.”

Not only was he not disobedient, but he was also quite loyal to the Tree of Life. If what Klet said was true, then Shen Siwei was somewhat confused as to why he always leaned towards Klet.

“Actually, I should have realized it when we were bombed last time,” Klet’s tone carried a hint of regret, “I said you were a lot like my friend, both of you came down to carry out a mission, but in the end, you helped me. Why didn’t I think that you were him?”

“Why didn’t you think about it?” Shen Siwei couldn’t help but feel curious. “I haven’t changed my appearance, have I?”

“When you saved me, I was still young, and I don’t remember what you looked like very well. I just remember you had black hair and black eyes.”

Suddenly, Shen Siwei realized that in the surveillance footage shown by Klet, he had golden hair, and he also used Ivan’s pseudonym. No wonder Klet didn’t recognize him.

“You said I saved you when you were young,” Shen Siwei calculated in his mind, “25 years ago, you were only five years old, right?”

As soon as he thought of this, Shen Siwei found it funny, curling his lips and teasing, “So you were just a little brat?”

Klet narrowed his eyes and frowned unhappily.

“You call me your friend, what kind of friend?” Shen Siwei continued to laugh and said, “Clearly, I’m like your big brother.”

Before the smile on the corners of his mouth could fade, the face mask was suddenly removed, and their lips met.

A large hand firmly gripped the back of his neck, and the tongue forcefully pried open his teeth. Shen Siwei didn’t know how, but he ended up kissing him back.

Already unable to breathe properly without the face mask, Shen Siwei’s legs inexplicably weakened. He pushed Klet away, took back his mask, and the blush on his cheeks was quite noticeable under the moonlight.

“Don’t touch my face mask carelessly.”

“Do you like it when a little brat kisses you?”

“I don’t like it.”

Klet laughed softly, not caring about the denial, as if he had determined that Shen Siwei’s words were not in line with his true feelings.

“Malken said you treat your life-saver  like an idol,” Shen Siwei slightly raised his chin and regained his momentum. “Is this how you treat an idol?”

“Well,” Klet shamelessly proclaimed, “I want to do more.”

“You…” Shen Siwei didn’t know what to do. Klet seemed to be giving it his all, laying bare all his thoughts, leaving Shen Siwei completely defenseless.

But thinking about that message book, he could somewhat understand. Twenty years of longing accumulated and erupted today. Perhaps not kissing Shen Siwei to the point of suffocation was already a form of restraint.

“Don’t overthink it,” Shen Siwei averted his gaze uneasily and walked toward the edge of the rooftop. “I haven’t given you permission to do anything else.”

But before he could take two steps, Klet hugged his waist from behind and whispered in his ear, “What are you thinking?”

The warm breath sprayed against his earlobe, as if a tingly current passed through.

Shen Siwei belatedly realized that Klet was flirting with him, and doing it full force, holding nothing back.

He didn’t like this feeling of being controlled and was about to ask Klet to let go of him when Klet suddenly leaned against his neck and muffledly said, “I just wanted to make you remember me.”

His soft heart was touched, and Shen Siwei reached out and touched Klet’s head, apologizing slightly, “I really can’t remember.”

“But you remember Laizhe,” Klet said discontentedly.

“That’s because I’ve known him for many years,” Shen Siwei explained. “Moran must have erased my unfavorable memories of him, and those memories happen to be related to you. But Laizhe has been in my life for a long time, even if I don’t remember what happened twenty-five years ago, he has always been there.”

Klet fell silent, and Shen Siwei thought he understood. But then Klet suddenly bit his neck, as if venting his frustration.

With skin that was immune to knives and guns, Shen Siwei didn’t feel any pain and let Klet bite him.

But after just two seconds, Klet lifted his head and complained, “Your skin is so tough.”

Shen Siwei: “…”

He sighed helplessly and said, “Bite again.”

This time, Shen Siwei moved away the highly resilient molecules in that area, so when Klet bit down again, he frowned in pain.

Klet realized that Shen Siwei had exposed the fragile skin and immediately withdrew his grip.

After a while, he licked the bite mark he had made and finally raised his head.

Shen Siwei straightened his messed-up collar and raised an eyebrow. “Are you satisfied now?”

Klet smirked and said, “Hmm.”

Actually, it’s not that difficult to appease a brat. Shen Siwei thought to himself.

But Klet took advantage of the situation and said, “Three times, all three times, you sided with me. You really do love me.”

“?” Shen Siwei turned around and looked at the large pendant on his body. “Don’t be so cocky.”

Shen Siwei’s fondness for Klet probably stemmed from those forgotten memories. The reason why he believed Klet’s “story” so quickly during this mission was probably because subconsciously, he always found himself gravitating towards Klet.

It had to be admitted that Klet was an important person to him, and it wasn’t as exaggerated as he claimed.

“Don’t you love me?” Klet furrowed his brows and asked.

“Kids shouldn’t talk about love,” Shen Siwei said.

“In your eyes, am I just a kid?”

“Aren’t you?”

“Fine.” Klet let go of Shen Siwei and grabbed his wrist. “Let’s go somewhere else.”

“Go where?” Shen Siwei was puzzled.

At that moment, Malken’s head suddenly appeared below the corridor, and he whispered, “Boss, are you done ?”

Klet stopped pulling and asked, “What’s the matter?”

Malken replied, “Laizhe wants to talk about the agreement.”

Klet said disinterestedly, “I’m busy.”

But as soon as he finished speaking, Shen Siwei walked towards the corridor and said, “Coming.”
