The Whole World Wants Me To Get Divorced

The Whole World Wants Me To Get Divorced chapter 8

Clumsy Seduction

The first class, as usual, wasn’t too important.

That day’s topic was the history of the monster world.

The teacher was an elderly crane monster with poor eyesight, wearing thick glasses and lecturing from a textbook.

Wen Yan got distracted after a while. Glancing around, he noticed his classmates were all hiding under their desks, playing games or reading novels. Feeling reassured, he boldly shared the snacks given by the housekeeper with Li Zheng.

While munching on heart-shaped cookies, Wen Yan discussed his plan to pursue Rong Xiao with Li Zheng, asking him to be his advisor.

Li Zheng was utterly puzzled, “Aren’t you the officially recognized fiancé? Why pursue him? Just wait for him to marry you.”

Wen Yan was resolute, “No, I not only want him to marry me, but I also want him to be entirely devoted to me. I crave not only his body but also his soul.”

Li Zheng understood and silently gave him a thumbs up. His brother indeed had lofty goals.

However, he didn’t say much. Everyone has to taste the bitter wine of love. If his brother didn’t fall for Rong Xiao, he would fall for someone else. It didn’t matter.

The two finished a basket of cookies in one class. Li Zheng praised, “These cookies taste great. Who made them?”

“The housekeeper, Mr. Yu Bu Wen. You just met him,” Wen Yan replied.

Li Zheng almost choked on the cookie in his throat, widening his eyes, “Who did you say?!”

Wen Yan was puzzled, “It’s Yu Bu Wen, right?”

Li Zheng understood this time, gasping, “That killer, actually made cookies for you?! Do you know who he is?”

Wen Yan honestly shook his head.

“He’s the retired leader of the Special Affairs Department for Monster Management, used to handle major cases of lethal attacks. Now retired, he works as Mr. Rong’s housekeeper.”

Of course, the most terrifying thing was his record of beheading eighteen evil monsters, a feat no successor has achieved to this day.

Shivering, Li Zheng put the cookies back. He dared not eat them anymore, especially when made by Yu Bu Wen, the one who could silence the night cries of little monsters. Just thinking about it made him feel nightmares were inevitable.

Wen Yan couldn’t grasp Li Zheng’s fear. In his view, wasn’t this identity similar to that of a human police officer? Police officers are reliable, after all.

He took another bite of the cookie.

Li Zheng, admiringly watching him, thought his brother was truly brave. Not only could he become the bride of a monster world big shot, but he could also command a killer to make him cookies.

Truly a courageous and resolute human.

………………………

With Li Zheng by his side, Wen Yan’s first day at school wasn’t too difficult. He snacked during breaks, and the day passed smoothly.

The only downside was that none of his classmates seemed willing to be the first to strike up a conversation with him. This left him feeling lonely, questioning whether the charm of his face had suddenly become ineffective. He was used to having good popularity, especially among humans.

In the middle of it, he messaged Rong Xiao, sharing his campus life through live updates. The content was vivid and youthful, making it tempting even for monsters to experience a bit of campus life.

However, Rong Xiao wasn’t interested at all. He replied with just four words, “Focus on your studies.”

Undeterred, Wen Yan continued to pester him.

Three minutes later, he suddenly noticed the teacher approaching him. The teacher stopped in front of him, extended his hand awkwardly, and said, “Young man, Mr. Rong asked me to collect your phone.”

Wen Yan: “……….”

Wasn’t the deal that he wouldn’t be under pressure, and failing a class wouldn’t matter since Rong was backing him up? Was this what they meant by reporting to the teacher?

With a tearful heart, Wen Yan handed over his phone and reluctantly opened his notebook to take notes.

Men and male monsters were indeed the same. Not a single reliable one among them.

The day quickly passed by.

When school was over, he got his phone back. On his way home, Wen Yan took a detour with Li Zheng to buy a cup of bubble tea. By the time he arrived home, the sky was completely dark, but the moonlight grass in the courtyard had just awakened, emitting a faint glow in the dim light.

These monster realm plants were interesting. The buds looked like little round lanterns and behaved like shy flowers, retracting when touched.

Wen Yan crouched down to play for a while, making a bunch of moonlight grass dance around like a disco.

Just as he was about to stand up, he heard footsteps stopping next to him, and someone asked, “How was your day at school? Are you adapting well?”

Wen Yan lifted his head and met Rong Xiao’s handsome face.

Just as he was about to reply, he remembered the phone confiscation incident. He immediately brought up the old grudge, grumbling, “I thought you weren’t interested. Why did you make someone take my phone?”

Rong Xiao smiled and casually touched his soft black hair. “I was in a meeting this afternoon. You sent me a message every ten minutes, and everyone could hear my phone vibrating. I had to confiscate it for some peace. Besides, didn’t you want me to reward you? What if you end up last in the class? How should I reward you then?”

Rong Xiao’s hand was broad, with slightly calloused fingertips. When he brushed over Wen Yan’s ear, it felt a bit ticklish.

Wen Yan always felt like Rong Xiao was petting him like a little dog. However, he couldn’t bring himself to be indignant. When Rong Xiao extended his hand, Wen Yan obediently stood up and held onto it.

“Adapting quite well,” he mumbled, finally answering Rong Xiao’s question.

Then, very cunningly, he didn’t let go of Rong Xiao’s hand but instead intertwined his fingers with the slightly larger ones, leading the way into the house.

Rong Xiao just glanced at him and followed along.

After dinner, Wen Yan had to summarize a class, so he went upstairs first. When he finished writing a thousand words, he realized it was almost ten o’clock.

He opened the wardrobe to get his pajamas for a shower. His gaze, however, bypassed his beloved little yellow chicken pajamas and fell on a row of sexy lingerie in the closet.

From long shirt styles to Japanese-style bathrobes, from backless to deep V-necks, all kinds of styles were there. They were all still soft and new, never worn.

Wen Yan touched his chin, thinking that, based on the principle of diligence and thriftiness, he shouldn’t waste them. Clothes were meant to be worn after all; otherwise, it would be a waste of money.

He had no intention of wearing them to seduce Rong Xiao, really.

Then he quickly took off a shirt-style one, walked away from the wardrobe without looking back, and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Rong Xiao usually left the living room by eleven. Wen Yan had the schedule perfectly memorized; otherwise, he wouldn’t make it in time!

Half an hour later, Wen Yan emerged from the bathroom, smelling fragrant all over. Standing in front of the mirror, he blew dry his hair and admired his appearance.

The shirt-style pajamas showcased his pair of snowy, slender legs perfectly. The neckline was wide open, revealing clear and beautiful collarbones. With his naturally good skin, now pink and tender after the shower, he looked like a ripe peach, soft and tempting. His lips were also soft and moist, enticing.

Not to brag, but even he felt like taking a bite after seeing himself.

Comparing himself to others, if Rong Xiao saw this, he would surely lose control. A bit excited, Wen Yan thought Rong Xiao might just get too worked up, and they could skip the formalities and go straight to the bridal chamber.

His inner perverted little self was extremely excited, wishing to pounce on Rong Xiao right away. However, he, as a person, was as timid as a winter melon. He hesitated at the door for ten minutes, watching the clock tick towards eleven, before finally screwing open the bedroom door.

As soon as he stepped out of the room, he saw Rong Xiao still sitting in his usual spot, leaning against the French window, with the courtyard and lotus pond outside.

Wen Yan came downstairs, initially intending to grab a glass of milk from the kitchen. However, he first went to the kitchen and grabbed an ice cream, deliberately taking two rounds in the living room before sitting in front of Rong Xiao.

This time, the effect was even more pronounced. Rong Xiao didn’t even lift his head.

Wen Yan: “……….”

It wasn’t until Wen Yan sat on the sofa, silently finishing the milk and ice cream, that Rong Xiao still showed no reaction to his appearance. Occasionally, his gaze swept over him, looking very gentlemanly, just like when he saw Wen Yan in his usual yellow duck pajamas.

The only communication during this time was a request for Wen Yan to stop shaking his leg.

Wen Yan stabbed his ice cream bowl with a spoon, feeling full of grievances. Was it leg shaking? He was doing it to show Rong Xiao the leg bracelet on his thigh!

In the end, he didn’t finish the remaining half of the ice cream. Dejectedly, he returned to his room, slamming the door. Internally, he was beating himself up, thinking that these sexy pajamas weren’t effective at all. What a disappointment!

It wasn’t until he slammed the door that a light laughter echoed in the living room.

Rong Xiao put down the documents and rubbed his temples.

Looking at the closed door, he remembered Wen Yan’s just now dejected face. The laughter in his eyes deepened.

He had deliberately left Wen Yan hanging.

He could naturally see through Wen Yan’s clumsy attempt at seduction. Wen Yan deliberately changed into a more mature style of pajamas, sitting in front of him with a hint of post-bath moisture, looking at him with round, shiny eyes.

Compared to the men and women who used to be brought to him, Wen Yan was blatantly awkward in his approach.

However, instead of feeling annoyed, Rong Xiao found it somewhat cute.

He had already finished reading the documents in his hands, leaning back in his chair and looking out into the courtyard. Under the moonlight, the trees in his courtyard were lush, and various faintly glowing fireflies floated in the air.

Everything was so quiet that it became almost imperceptible.

Before Wen Yan moved into this house, along with this courtyard, it had always been this quiet, whether during the day or night.

So when the Monster Management Bureau suggested sending Wen Yan here, he flatly refused. He didn’t want anyone to disturb the peaceful life he had.

But now, he had somehow become accustomed to it. There was this noisy little human bouncing around in the house.

It wasn’t a good sign at all.
