The Whole World Wants Me To Get Divorced

The Whole World Wants Me To Get Divorced chapter 41

Crossing Three Realms of Species

At the moment, in this teaching building, there were only a few of them along with a ghost, and no other creatures.

Jin Yueze’s eyes darted from left to right, then from right to left, refusing to make eye contact with Wen Yan and Li Zheng.

But Wen Yan and Li Zheng didn’t let him off.

They pounced on him like tigers, one on the left and one on the right, restraining him. “Confess, what kind of creature are you?”

Jin Yueze was still stubbornly resisting. “I won’t talk. You confess first, and then I’ll talk.”

Li Zheng was straightforward. “I’m a demon monster with a white bird as my true form, seventy-six years old. A local monster born and raised.”

Wen Yan followed up, “I’m Wen Yan, a genuine human, eighteen years old. Also a local human.”

Jin Yueze looked at Wen Yan in shock. “You’re a real human?”

Wen Yan pointed to Rong Xiao behind him. “Of course. That’s my fiancé. He’s the demon monster. Now, stop interrupting and quickly tell us what kind of creature you are.”

Seeing that he couldn’t escape, Jin Yueze had to confess. “I’m indeed not human, nor am I a monster.”

His race was actually quite rare, even rarer than monsters. He was a bit afraid that Wen Yan wouldn’t be able to accept it.

After pausing for two seconds and looking at their expressions, he stammered. “I am a ghost tribe. My real name is  actually Jin Yueze, Yueze as in the moon. I moved to the human world two years ago.”

Wen Yan and Li Zheng both showed surprised expressions.

They noticed Jin Yueze’s choice of words—ghost tribe, not just ghost.

In the ghost realm, there were two types of residents.

One was human ghosts, waiting in line for reincarnation.

The other was the indigenous inhabitants of the ghost realm, a race born from the Yin energy underground, with a single horn on their heads, known as the ghost tribe. The ruler of the ghost tribe was the Ghost King, who had dealings with the monster realm.

Wen Yan and Li Zheng reached out together, patting Jin Yueze’s head in a chaotic manner.

“Ah… you really have a horn.” Wen Yan touched it, a small and non-threatening horn. He exclaimed, “You’re actually an indigenous inhabitant of the ghost realm!”

Jin Yueze blushed, slapping Wen Yan’s hand resembling a dignified young lady being molested.

“Don’t touch randomly, be careful I report you for harassment,” Jin Yueze protected his horn and stepped back. “The horn of the ghost tribe can only be touched by family and lovers.”

Wen Yan quickly withdrew his hand.

He was already a taken man; he couldn’t mess around in front of his fiancé.

“Wait, why did you, as a member of the ghost tribe, move here…?” Li Zheng asked curiously. “Aren’t ghosts supposed to avoid dealing with the outside world? And they hate sunlight.”

Jin Yueze, holding his scythe, said with a grievance, “I’m just different from other members of the ghost tribe. The stuff underground is tasteless and boring. Even buying action figures requires using a proxy. It took a lot of effort for me to move to the human world.”

Well, that was a strong reason.

Wen Yan stroked his chin and sighed. “You’re lucky you moved to China. If you had gone to England, you would have cried and gone back long ago.”

Jin Yueze thought it made sense.

Rong Xiao didn’t interfere with Wen Yan and Li Zheng’s interrogation.

After confirming that the situation wasn’t dangerous, he remained a silent background.

He wasn’t particularly concerned about Jin Yueze, the ghost tribe. However, after observing him for a while, he finally remembered why he found the face familiar.

He silently took a photo and sent it to someone on the contact list who hadn’t been contacted in a long time, asking, “Is this your lost offspring?”

There was a reply after half a minute.

It was a brief two-word message: “Watch him.”

Jin Yueze completely ignored that his ghostly privacy had been leaked.

Because the ghost he had knocked out on the ground woke up. He was repeating his grievances from his past life in a hoarse voice, “I want to take the exam, let me take the exam. I was about to pass the fourth level!”

Wen Yan and Li Zheng were shocked by this simple grievance.

The three of them crouched down together, watching the ghost spirit.

“Is this the ghost you detected this afternoon?” Wen Yan asked. “The one indicated by the red mark?”

He knew it; why did Jin Yueze slip away faster than he and Li Zheng in the afternoon?

It turned out that everyone was telling lies.

Jin Yueze nodded. “At first, I thought the mark was indicating me. Later, I thought it wasn’t right because I don’t have any grievances. So, I turned back to check. I didn’t expect you two to show up.”

It wouldn’t have been such a coincidence otherwise.

After self-reflection, Jin Yueze felt that the fall from grace today was entirely his own fault.

Li Zheng curiously poked the transparent body of the ghost and asked, “Why did he become a vengeful ghost? Just because he didn’t pass the exam?”

Jin Yueze nodded heavily.

“That’s really the reason,” he couldn’t understand the ghost’s mentality. How much must one love studying for this to happen? “I checked before you came; the rumors in the school are true. The ghost students witnessed in the classroom is him. He died in a car accident two days before the fourth-level exam and has been wandering in the classroom, wanting to finish the fourth level. But because of this, his resentment is weak, and he hasn’t harmed anyone.”

Wen Yan and Li Zheng fell into silence together.

If he were still alive, he would have been recognized as a diligent student.

But now that they knew the reason, it was easy to handle.

With a compassionate spirit, Wen Yan conjured up a set of simulated level four exam papers and asked Jin Yueze to burn them for the ghost.

This move could be described as a perfect cure.

The ghost cherished the exam papers, almost jumping up on the spot, happily burying his head in writing on the desk.

As he wrote, he turned into a wisp of blue smoke, disappearing. He seemed to have obediently gone to the reincarnation point, waiting for the assigned number to be reborn.

Wen Yan and Li Zheng silently watched the fellow go.

“It’s good to settle it this way,” Wen Yan sighed.

Since the ghost incident was resolved, there was no reason to stay in the classroom.

Wen Yan, Li Zheng, and Jin Yueze walked out together, even discussing what late-night snacks to eat.

The bonds between these friends were unbreakable.

Even after crossing three realms of species, they remained good friends.

As they walked downstairs, Jin Yueze curiously asked Wen Yan, a human, how he got involved with a group of monsters.

Li Zheng didn’t count; they were childhood friends.

But what about the so-called monster fiancé?

Could humans and monsters really intermarry?

Wen Yan got excited as soon as he heard this. “This story is a long one. It starts with my family when it comes to my relationship with Rong Xiao. Back in the day, my family was actually a well-known cultivation family…”

“Hold on…” Jin Yueze interrupted Wen Yan right after hearing the beginning. His expression became somewhat awkward. “You just said, what’s your fiancé’s name?”

Wen Yan hadn’t had a chance to answer.

Rong Xiao, who had been silently acting as their background all along, spoke up first.

“I am Rong Xiao. It’s nice to finally meet you, Crown Prince of the Ghost Realm.”

Jin Yueze finally remembered where he had heard the name Rong Xiao before.

Wasn’t this the big shot behind the Demon Control Bureau?!!

Ignoring the need to explain to Wen Yan and Li Zheng, he immediately ran, preparing to use his scythe to leap through space.

Unfortunately, before his legs could step out, a vine behind him hooked onto him, binding and pulling him down with a thud, face to the ground.

Rong Xiao beckoned with his finger, and the vines growing out of the wall brought the tied-up Jin Yueze over.

“Don’t think about escaping. Your uncle is already on his way to catch you,” Rong Xiao said calmly to Jin Yueze.

Jin Yueze let out a desperate howl.

Wen Yan and Li Zheng: “…………”

What the heck is going on?

In the next ten minutes, Wen Yan’s worldview underwent another baptism.

What could be more shocking than a buddy being a member of the ghost tribe?

That is when the buddy is also the runaway prince of the ghost tribe.

With a smile, Rong Xiao kindly educated Wen Yan about Jin Yueze’s family background.

“This kid didn’t tell you the truth. He is indeed a member of the ghost tribe, but he didn’t mention that his uncle is the current Ghost King, and he is the next in line. Two years ago, he stole a magical tool from his uncle, disguised himself exactly like a human, and ran away from home to the human world. This is my territory, and his uncle can’t casually take action. That’s why he asked for my help,” Rong Xiao explained, quite pleased, “For this, his uncle even sent me two mines.”

While Rong Xiao was talking, faint footsteps echoed in the empty corridor.

“His uncle is here,” Rong Xiao looked ahead and said, “Pretty fast.”

A slender figure in black slowly appeared in front of everyone, long legs, narrow waist, and a glimpse of pale wrist revealed under the sleeve.

Wen Yan had never seen a Ghost King, and his initial reaction was that he should be ghastly with fangs and a large, intimidating figure.

But when he really saw the face of the Ghost King, he couldn’t help but blurt out, “So handsome.”

Rong Xiao’s face instantly turned dark.
