Second Love

Second Love chapter 1

Outside, a light drizzle fell, accompanied by the distinctive coolness of spring. The air was filled with the fragrance of fresh grass in the standalone villa, creating a picturesque scene.

Used tissue papers, three discarded bed sheets, and scattered clothes cluttered the room. Two men with differing physiques embraced each other in sleep. The slimmer man bore various red marks on his body, with one shoulder exposed, featuring faint red bite marks. With closed eyes, he seemed to be lost in a pleasant dream, rubbing against the broad shoulders of the taller man.

Cheng Huai held Jiang Yun in his arms, unconsciously pulling him even closer in his sleep. Abruptly, the Apple default alarm shattered this beautiful moment, Cheng Huai’s daily, unwavering alarm. He closed his eyes, searching for the phone to turn off the alarm.

Glancing at the peacefully sleeping figure in his arms, Cheng Huai pecked Jiang Yun’s lips like a chick pecking at rice. Cheng Huai’s kisses moistened Jiang Yun’s originally dry lips, making them look particularly tempting.

The person in his arms stirred slightly when Cheng Huai delicately disengaged himself.

“Cheng Huai…” Jiang Yun’s brows furrowed in his sleep, subconsciously grabbing Cheng Huai’s arm and muttering his name.

“Jiang Jiang, I have to catch a plane today.” Cheng Huai bent down to kiss Jiang Yun’s forehead, and the person in his arms gradually relaxed.

“I’ll take you…” Jiang Yun rubbed his eyes, reaching out to hook Cheng Huai’s neck. His legs, restless, entwined with Cheng Huai’s waist. Nestled in Cheng Huai’s embrace, his collar was skewed, revealing a large expanse of chest covered in red marks from the intense night before.

“You don’t have to; you can sleep a bit more.” Cheng Huai kissed Jiang Yun’s eyes. “It’s rainy outside today, and the road might be slippery, silly.”

“You’re lying; the rain doesn’t sound heavy.” Jiang Yun’s hearing was much more sensitive than an average person’s.

Cheng Huai looked at the light rain outside the window and rubbed Jiang Yun’s soft hair. “Right, I lied. You’re not allowed to send me off.”

“Okay~” Jiang Yun answered, displaying the characteristic coquettishness of someone not yet fully awake. He obediently released Cheng Huai, groping his way back into the warm blankets, covering himself.

He knew what Cheng Huai was worried about—rainy days made the road slippery and inconvenient for Jiang Yun. Since the last time he slipped in the rain four years ago, Cheng Huai had imposed a ban on Jiang Yun going out in the rain.

Oh, you might wonder when that last time was?

Four years ago.

Not surprising at all; they were already an old married couple.

Before leaving, Cheng Huai called Jiang Yun’s mother.

“Mom, I’m leaving now.”

Jiang’s mother’s nagging came through the phone, reminding Cheng Huai not to forget daily necessities, check his passport and ID again, and so on.

“Yeah, I know,” Cheng Huai chuckled unconsciously. “Mom, if you have time, come and accompany Jiang Jiang. I checked the weather forecast, and it’s going to rain for the next week. I’m afraid Jiang Jiang will feel bored staying home alone.”

In fact, they had kept a dog for some time. However, Jiang Yun was allergic to dog hair, and during that period, he developed red rashes, which persisted with a low fever. Yet, he couldn’t resist being close to the dog and kept petting its head.

Cheng Huai had to forcefully separate the dog from him. At that time, Jiang Yun had already prepared a retreat for himself, begging Cheng Huai with red eyes, promising to obediently take medication and never allow the dog into the bedroom again.

Jiang Yun usually wasn’t someone who liked to act spoiled, so when he did, Cheng Huai couldn’t resist. But in this matter, there was no room for negotiation; everything else was secondary to Jiang Yun’s well-being.
