Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs chapter 125

 The End

When winter vacation arrived, the two returned home for the New Year.

Xiao Zhou’s mother and Xiao Ping were pleasantly surprised to see Jiang Chengyuan and prepared a sumptuous meal.

Since they were back, they also brought the little dog home.

When Xiao Bao saw Xiao Zhou, it was overjoyed, wagging its tail and jumping on him. Xiao Zhou squatted down and hugged it tightly. Xiao Bao barked and excitedly licked his face, leaving Xiao Zhou covered in dog saliva.

Although Xiao Zhou missed it too, he didn’t like dog saliva. He laughed and was both annoyed and amused as he comforted it for a while before standing up to wash his face.

Jiang Chengyuan originally didn’t like animals, but seeing how close Xiao Zhou was with the little dog, and realizing that it had been keeping him company in his absence, his heart softened a lot. He even squatted down for the first time and patted Xiao Bao’s head.

But the dog, having a short memory, didn’t recognize this owner and treated him like a stranger. It avoided him in a panic, and when it saw Xiao Zhou coming out of the bathroom, it ran behind Xiao Zhou in fear.

Xiao Zhou struggled to pull Xiao Bao out from behind him, saying, “Don’t be scared, he won’t hurt you. He likes you too.” He then brought it over to Jiang Chengyuan.

Seeing how frightened the dog was, Jiang Chengyuan lost interest and didn’t want to play with it anymore.

That night, while they were sitting on the sofa watching a movie, the dog tentatively approached Jiang Chengyuan’s feet but was kicked away. It could only walk over to Xiao Zhou with a whimper, looking pitiful.

Seeing Jiang Chengyuan still holding a grudge, Xiao Zhou couldn’t stop laughing. He picked up the dog and then crawled into Jiang Chengyuan’s embrace with the dog.

This time, Jiang Chengyuan didn’t push the dog away but adjusted his sitting position to make Xiao Zhou more comfortable, holding him steadily. The little dog found a warm spot and settled down comfortably between them.

Jiang Chengyuan held him, and the movie was boring. He had no interest in it and was feeling quite restless. He half-closed his eyes, his fingers wandering up and down Xiao Zhou’s face, like playing with a newly acquired toy, when he suddenly felt an unusual texture.

His hand paused, and he looked down at the person in his arms. Xiao Zhou was still oblivious, engrossed in the movie.

After Xiao Zhou returned to his alpha status, the hormones caused him to grow a faint stubble. His shaving habits weren’t perfect, so there was a light blue mark on his chin. It was quite faint and not noticeable unless looked at closely.

Jiang Chengyuan reached out to touch his chin again, finding that the stubble wasn’t particularly rough, just soft.

Curious, he suddenly got up and turned on all the lights in the house. The sudden brightness startled Xiao Zhou. “What are you doing?”

Jiang Chengyuan pulled him over and started removing Xiao Zhou’s clothes. Xiao Zhou felt itchy from his touch, laughed involuntarily, and noticed Jiang Chengyuan’s hands were restless, moving all over his body. He hunched over to avoid his hands. “What are you doing?”

Jiang Chengyuan threw his belt on the ground, “I want to look at you.”

Xiao Bao was startled by their actions, yelping and jumping off Xiao Zhou, hiding in a corner of the room, trembling.

After a while, Xiao Zhou’s shirt buttons were all undone, and he could only futilely try to cover himself with his hands. “What’s there to see?”

Seeing that the upper body was being defended so desperately, Jiang Chengyuan shifted to attack the lower body. The belt was undone, the buttons were unfastened, and the pants were easily pulled down halfway. “You’ve grown stubble.”

Xiao Zhou froze, then was extremely embarrassed, bending his legs and using one hand to pull up his pants. “Stop fooling around. It’s normal, isn’t it? Don’t you have it too? Why are you taking off my clothes?”

Unfortunately, after a struggle, all resistance was in vain.

Xiao Zhou lay breathlessly on the sofa, and Jiang Chengyuan, on top of him, had put in quite a bit of effort to gain this advantage. Xiao Zhou’s punches and kicks were too gentle, not targeting vital spots, afraid of hurting Jiang Chengyuan, making them feel more like a tickle.

Jiang Chengyuan, much more shameless, used his strength to pin Xiao Zhou’s wrists over his head.

Xiao Zhou’s chest rose and fell with each breath, a thin layer of sweat gleaming. His eyes were also bright, reflecting the lights of the room, and his mouth had a smile that didn’t fade from being tickled.

Jiang Chengyuan looked down and could see his own reflection in those dark, soft eyes, with dense eyelashes crossing each other, giving a sense of innocent purity.

Jiang Chengyuan got lost in those eyes, as if he would drown in them.

He propped himself up, looking at the sparse hair growing on Xiao Zhou’s body under the bright lights. The hair extended from the armpits, chest, and groin area, hidden under black briefs stretched over his hips. It was very faint but quite sexy and alluring.

Xiao Zhou felt utterly humiliated by his gaze. He had never been so ashamed as he was now; his face was burning, his entire body flushed, and he felt as if he were standing naked in a square, being dissected and admired inch by inch.

His hands were seized, and his legs futilely twisting, his eyes nearly red with anger as he finally whispered with some frustration, “Are you done looking?”

Jiang Chengyuan then shifted his focus to his face. Seeing the mixture of shame and anger, he couldn’t help but chuckle softly, letting go of Xiao Zhou’s wrist and touching his chest.

With his hands freed, Xiao Zhou didn’t know where to cover himself. After being touched, he let out a low gasp, his hands weakly falling to his sides, and a large blush spread across his exposed skin.

Whether it was psychological or not, Jiang Chengyuan found the beautiful flesh before him almost like a clingy piece of candy that one couldn’t put down. It was so young and firm, full of vitality.

Jiang Chengyuan, lost in thought and a bit melancholic, pressed a kiss on Xiao Zhou’s chest, saying, “You’ve grown up, and I’ve grown old.”

Xiao Zhou, feeling tickled by his short hair, gently pushed his head up. “Get up.”

Instead, Jiang Chengyuan became more relaxed and slumped on him, saying, “When you start working, you’ll meet more people and see a broader world. You’ll encounter many omegas, and there will be one who matches you.” He raised his hand to stroke Xiao Zhou’s face. “Will you want to leave?”

Xiao Zhou was stunned but then stopped struggling. He made an effort to lift himself up, crossing his arms behind Jiang Chengyuan to hold him completely. “No, I won’t leave, and I don’t want to leave.” He said seriously, word by word, “I love you.”

Jiang Chengyuan withdrew his hand and, with a somewhat cliché expression, looked up, “How much do you love me?”

Xiao Zhou didn’t know how to express it; he wasn’t good with sweet talk. “I love you a lot,” he said, leaning in to hold him, his voice so low it seemed to be carried by the breath, “The kind of love that hurts and doesn’t want to let go.”

…..

On New Year’s Eve, having dinner with Xiao Zhou’s family for a family reunion, Jiang Chengyuan’s mother called for a video chat, and they all exchanged New Year’s greetings.

The night passed harmoniously and smoothly.

After midnight, everyone went to sleep. In the night, Jiang Chengyuan got up, put on a coat, and went to the balcony to smoke a cigarette. The air was still filled with the scent of burnt firecrackers, the dark night without light, only a tiny spark flickering in his fingers.

He had just received news.

Jiang Wenxing was killed in prison. That big shot had offended someone, and old grievances were brought up. During an attempt to flee, he was caught, jumped into the sea, and his whereabouts became unknown. It was estimated that survival was unlikely, and a number of related people were also implicated and fell from power.

After a year of tracking and surveillance, Jiang Chengyuan felt a sense of gloom lift from his chest, as the troublesome issues were finally resolved.

This year was not only for treating his leg injury but also for staying in the shadows and cleaning up troubles.

After telling him about this, Ji Yang joked, “That kid next to you is so possessive, even I’m scared.”

Possessive? Jiang Chengyuan flicked the cigarette ash, smiling thoughtfully. He actually hoped Xiao Zhou would be a bit more possessive. That way, it would feel more real, without the worry of losing him, since there would be no one else around them

Author’s note:

The text is complete. Thank you for reading! I am very grateful to the readers who accompanied me in finishing this book. Without you, I would have given up. This book has many issues, but I finally gave Jiang Jiang and Zhou Zhou a happy ending. If I could get a detailed review, I would be very happy!

The next book: “Trapped in a Cage,” featuring a “pretending to be weak but actually strong” top x “grumpy big shot” bottom, childhood friends turned enemies turned lovers, is already updating. Please add it to your collection. I hope to improve a bit more. Thank you, and I hope to see you again in the next book!

TN:

I actually enjoyed translating this novel a lot! I was impressed with Jiang Chengyuan’s and Xiao Zhou’s development and how their love kept growing stronger. They finally got their happy end but there’s that reluctance to part with them. Anyway, I’ll make an effort to pick up “Trapped in a Cage” by the author, but until then, if you enjoyed this novel as much as I did, consider supporting me on Ko-fi any amount will be appreciated!! Also check out the other projects on here.
