Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs chapter 115

Hunter

Jiang Chengyuan had actually been hidden on the second floor, observing everything Xiao Zhou was doing below.

He watched Xiao Zhou mingling in the center of the dance floor, surrounded by many beautiful figures, each distinct in their own way. Yet, his eyes only saw that one white figure, the suit seemingly tailor-made for him, highlighting his extraordinary handsomeness. When silent, he had a somewhat cold and lonely aura; when he smiled, he appeared gentle and approachable, completely unguarded.

Ji Yang followed his gaze, “Dressed up well and quite the charmer. Be careful, he might spread his wings and fly away after all you’ve done for him.”

Jiang Chengyuan glanced at him and said, “Do you enjoy stirring things up?”

Quietly watching until Xiao Zhou and Wen Ruohan left the ballroom together.

After finishing his whiskey and placing the glass on the railing, Jiang Chengyuan stood up, “Tell them I’m leaving first.”

Ji Yang grabbed him, “Your coat is still inside.”

“Can you get it for me? Otherwise, I’ll be stuck there for a while.”

Ji Yang rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth, “Do you think I’m here to be your errand boy? Not even a thank you?”

Jiang Chengyuan was taken aback, then turned around and patted his head, saying gently, “Thanks.”

Ji Yang stiffened, his eyes reddening after a moment. He glared angrily, “Are you pretending to be dumb? Is your heart made of stone?”

Jiang Chengyuan withdrew his hand, his expression returning to its usual indifference, “What do you want me to do? I don’t want to lose a friend.” He paused, “Ji Yang, you’re different from others.”

Ji Yang stared at him, “Different how? Is it the same as him?”

Jiang Chengyuan shook his head, “No need to compare. You’re smart and perceptive, able to handle anything. He’s not like that.”

As they exited the hall and reached the door, Jiang Chengyuan saw the car carrying Wen Ruohan driving away, the tail lights fading, and at the end of the straight yellow light was a lone figure, looking solitary and thin.

Jiang Chengyuan walked over, asking, “Did you really fall for her?”

Xiao Zhou turned to look at him and smiled. “No.” He tiredly lifted his hand to hug Jiang Chengyuan, burying himself in his embrace. “I’m just a bit guilty because I lied to her.”

Jiang Chengyuan comforted his back, his hand gently moving up and down along his spine. “You’re just too sentimental.”

“Why did you give her that thing?” Xiao Zhou asked.

“It’s just to intimidate her. It’s a letter of challenge.”

They walked back from the villa’s front gate, not wanting to return to the noisy, bustling environment inside, and took a path in the back garden instead.

The trees blocked the sky and moonlight.

Jiang Chengyuan sniffed him, detecting the faint orchid scent left from their previous contact.

He gently pushed Xiao Zhou against the tree trunk.

Jiang Chengyuan bent down and bit his gland. Xiao Zhou squirmed uncomfortably, instinctively resisting, but the slight struggle was quickly subdued.

It was futile, the pheromones couldn’t get in and just leaked out. Jiang Chengyuan growled in frustration, like a beast missing its prey.

Xiao Zhou laughed and soothingly kissed him.

Jiang Chengyuan wrinkled his neatly pressed suit, then unfastened Xiao Zhou’s belt buckle, burying his head in his neck. His hair brushed against Xiao Zhou’s jaw, tickling and causing a tingling sensation that continued down to his lower body.

Xiao Zhou tilted his head back, his nape brushing against the rough tree bark, and he let out a soft moan.

Jiang Chengyuan’s hand slid in, gripping his ass, and whispered in his ear, “You’re scary, you know that?”

“Mm?” Xiao Zhou hugged him, resting his head on Jiang Chengyuan’s chest, feeling a bit dazed. He entangled his fingers in Jiang Chengyuan’s hair from the bottom up, slowly combing through the soft strands. The hair seemed so soft and thick, and he liked it so much that he didn’t even focus on what Jiang Chengyuan was saying.

Jiang Chengyuan’s palm sunk into the flesh of his waist as he nibbled and kissed him. “You’re so reckless and stubborn. I’ve always wanted to tame you, but in the end, it’s me who’s been tamed by you.” He grabbed Xiao Zhou’s hand playing with his hair, pulled it down, and bit his finger hard, leaving deep teeth marks, while staring intently into his eyes.

Xiao Zhou cried out in pain, thinking Jiang Chengyuan really resembled a wild beast in its teething phase, naturally aggressive and territorial.

Helpless, he touched Jiang Chengyuan’s cheek, the blood and saliva from his fingers smudging his skin. The pale skin was illuminated by the moonlight, looking like dirty rice paper.

Jiang Chengyuan nipped his lips, kissing him, his speech slurred, “You’re the fox, and I’m the hunter with a gun. I wanted to capture you but ended up being killed by my own bullet.”

“Don’t talk nonsense,” Xiao Zhou tilted his head up, seeing the white moon through the swaying leaves, “How could you die?”

Jiang Chengyuan chuckled softly. “Do you think I’m made of copper and iron? If I’m hurt, of course, I’ll die.”

Xiao Zhou looked at him in confusion. “Then don’t get hurt.”

Jiang Chengyuan sighed softly. “I’ve done many wrong things before. Didn’t you always say that if you do something wrong, you have to bear the consequences?”

Xiao Zhou’s heart raced for a moment. “Why are you saying this?”

Jiang Chengyuan pulled his hand to his lips and kissed it. “I don’t match your sense of right and wrong. Why do you like me?”

Xiao Zhou quietly accepted his kisses. “Because I’m a big fool,” he said with a smile, wrapping his arms around his neck and resting his head against him. “And also because you’re so great.” Xiao Zhou suddenly looked a bit dazed as he spoke, “I never imagined you would go to such lengths.”

His chest pressed against Jiang Chengyuan’s, their heartbeats syncing. Jiang Chengyuan wasn’t sure if this was the perfect answer, but he knew nothing made him happier than this moment. He gently stroked Xiao Zhou’s slightly sweaty short hair, speaking softly as if afraid to disturb the moonlit garden, “I’m not good; I’m a bad person. Look, you’ve learned to lie just by being with me.”

Xiao Zhou glanced towards the gate, hesitating for a moment. “You have your reasons. Besides, I haven’t harmed her, have I?”

Jiang Chengyuan nodded. “Of course not.” He paused and then whispered into his hair, “I also want to put the past behind us, so when I hold you like this, I don’t feel like I’m dirtying you.”

The beautiful 7-inch high heels, studded with small diamonds, were left under the bed, one standing, one fallen.

Wen Ruohan rested her head on the man’s arm. “I met someone very interesting yesterday.”

“Who? An alpha?” The man stroked her back, looking peaceful and gentle after satisfying his desires, even his wrinkled face showing a youthful vitality.

Wen Ruohan giggled, “Yes.”

The man rolled over and pressed her beneath him. “How dare you say that, are you not afraid I’ll get jealous?”

Wen Ruohan half-playfully, half-earnestly evaded the man’s advances. “Why don’t you ask me why I found him interesting?”

“Why?” The man, being older and not recovering quickly, was breathing heavily.

“He told me a story about his sister and even gave me something,” Wen Ruohan said, extending an arm and pulling out the amulet from the scattered clothes to show the man. “His sister really liked my paintings, but unfortunately, she died in a car accident, just like my father.”

The man’s expression changed dramatically as he looked at the amulet.
