Last Love chapter 46
Everything that followed happened quickly. Amidst continuous cheers, the host fastened the sparkling champion belt around Han Jiangque’s waist. After a brief interview, Han Jiangque quickly descended from the high platform, seemingly indifferent to the reactions of those around him. Instead, he walked straight to Wen Ke.
Han Jiangque lowered his body, not uttering a word but encircling Wen Ke with his arms, lifting the Omega high into the air. Everyone could see clearly that he was exhausted.
He was covered in sweat, with a wound on his left brow still oozing blood, and held Wen Ke with trembling arms. He could only endure for a moment before reluctantly letting Wen Ke down. He then took off his own golden championship belt and squatted down in front of Wen Ke.
“H-Han Jiangque,” Wen Ke, unsure of Han Jiangque’s intention, stammered.
Han Jiangque just raised his head, grinned at Wen Ke, and though his fingers trembled from the exertion, he persevered, securing the champion belt around Wen Ke’s waist.
The dazzling honor, earned through this bloody battle, was slowly fastened at his waist. The oversized belt looked somewhat comical on an Wen Ke’s waist, but the weightiness of it brought tears to his eyes.
At that moment, he felt like the center of the world.
Feeling a slight anxiety, he lifted his head, trying to maintain composure. In that instant, he saw the gaze of Fu Xiaoyu, who was standing on the side.
It was a gaze that, even if suppressed, revealed a heartbroken expression.
Wen Ke was momentarily stunned.
Han Jiangque then stood up and turned to look at Fu Xiaoyu, revealing a smile. He casually raised his fist and said, “Xiaoyu, I won!”
Fu Xiaoyu seemed dazed for a moment, then after a while, he reached out, and his fist bumped against Han Jiangque’s.
He quickly regained his composure, and Wen Ke almost doubted whether the fleeting sadness in Fu Xiaoyu’s eyes just now was a figment of his imagination.
Fu Xiaoyu softly said, “Congratulations. This… this is your first gold belt.”
After exchanging a few more words, Fu Xiaoyu calmly added, “I have something to attend to; I’ll go back now. We can celebrate another day, Boxing King.”
“Sure,” Han Jiangque replied straightforwardly. “I’ll call you another day.”
Wen Ke and Fu Xiaoyu also bid farewell. However, watching Fu Xiaoyu walk away alone, he couldn’t explain why he felt a mix of emotions.
His sensitivity to emotions made him confirm his intuition in that brief moment of eye contact.
Fu Xiaoyu seemed to have a relationship with Han Jiangque that was beyond ordinary.
…
The scenes that followed were somewhat chaotic. Han Jiangque hugged a few people who seemed like coaches, let the medical staff briefly check for any notable injuries, and only after everything was ready did he finally leave with Wen Ke through a discreet passage on the other side.
Han Jiangque had booked a suite on the top floor of the LM Club’s fully automated hotel for the night. When they reached that floor, Wen Ke couldn’t help but marvel.
It was his first time seeing such a high-tech hotel. Even the check-in process was done with a smart computer, eliminating the need for a room card. The facial scan done during check-in was stored in the system, and after passing through a security check and scanning his face at the entrance, they stepped into a deep, ever-changing corridor like entering a spacecraft.
At this moment, Wen Ke finally understood that Fu Xiaoyu wasn’t exaggerating when he called this place the “Silicon Valley” of B City.
But Han Jiangque seemed entirely uninterested in the novelty, walking straight towards the innermost suite.
The door, of course, also scanned their faces. When the door, decorated like a spaceship cabin, opened, Wen Ke widened his eyes. The interior was surprisingly classical and elegant, with a set of rosewood furniture, warm yellow lighting, a bottle of pre-chilled red wine on the table, and in the center, an immensely huge round bed – unmistakably a luxurious suite.
It was the first time Wen Ke stayed overnight with Han Jiangque outside, and with this realization, he couldn’t help feeling a strange sensation in his heart.
When Han Jiangque closed the door and turned around, he noticed that Wen Ke was still naively holding his boxing gloves. He couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you carrying these?”
“I… I just saw your coach holding them and asked him for them,” Wen Ke felt a bit embarrassed but still hugged the sweaty boxing gloves to his chest. “I’m taking them home tomorrow.”
Han Jiangque pulled up the corners of his mouth, and this smile caused his injured eyebrows to twitch, emitting a low “hiss.”
Wen Ke was a bit anxious, quickly walked over, and tiptoed to carefully examine his wounds.
In this private space, Han Jiangque had completely shed the ferocity from the boxing ring. He softly asked, “Wen Ke, did you like watching me box?”
The Alpha buried his face in his Omega’s shoulder. With 85 kilograms of the heaviest class clinging like a spoiled child, Wen Ke was pressed to stagger, only able to stand stably by leaning against the door. He had to take a breath before saying, “I liked it.”
“So handsome…”
Wen Ke murmured. Feeling embarrassed for his clumsy words, he hoped to come up with some magnificent vocabulary to express his surging emotions. However, all he managed to say was, “Incredibly handsome, really.”
Han Jiangque laughed again, and his pitch-black eyes curved like a crescent moon.
It was really strange, Wen Ke couldn’t help but think. Such a tall guy could actually laugh so sweetly and cutely.
“If only we were in a martial arts world, that would be great. Sometimes I can’t help but think like that…”
The spacious suite only had the two of them, quiet. They had unknowingly cuddled on the bed for a while when Han Jiangque spoke softly.
“Really?”
Wen Ke hugged Han Jiangque’s head and ruffled the tuft of hair that stood up at the back of Alpha’s head.
“Because I’m not smart—you know. In this world, intelligence is an essential trait, and most of the time, smart people are the ones who win. So for me, dealing with it is really tiring.”
Han Jiangque paused, then continued in a calm voice, “But if we were in a martial arts world, everything would be different. I feel I might be a hero, the kind who laughs in the face of the world.”
At that moment, Wen Ke suddenly felt a strange sense of blockage in his chest.
The halo of the boxing champion had not yet dispersed, and the crowd’s excitement had only been ten minutes ago. The abruptness and contrast, however, made it feel oppressive, as if amidst the crowd, the forgotten soul of a lonely and sad youth flashed by.
“You’re definitely right, Hero Han.”
He had to force a smile to free himself from that atmosphere, pinching Han Jiangque’s chin. “But I don’t know martial arts. What would I do?”
“I’d teach you.”
Emotions seemed to flash by. Han Jiangque suddenly seemed to regain energy. He jumped up, excitedly putting boxing gloves on both Wen Ke and himself. “Come on—”
Wen Ke had hardly ever been in a fight since childhood. With an oversized glove on one hand, he felt a bit awkward. But before he could react, Han Jiangque unexpectedly gave him a light punch to the chest.
Of course, the force was entirely gentle, but caught off guard, Wen Ke lost balance and fell awkwardly onto the bed.
Wen Ke was momentarily stunned, feeling a bit dubious about life. According to common sense, he thought Han Jiangque was flirting with him; he expected that Han Jiangque would playfully throw a few punches, and then they would get intimate.
But he never thought this silly Alpha actually wanted to box with him.
“Giraffe, get up and fight.”
Han Jiangque said with a mischievous smile.
Wen Ke bit his teeth and jumped up. He thought, you’re right; giraffes really can fight.
He deliberately punched Han Jiangque’s right shoulder fiercely, but Han Jiangque directly caught it with his bare hand. Trying to perform a stylish flying kick by raising one foot, he not only failed to land the kick as Han Jiangque agilely dodged, but also staggered a bit due to the unstable center of gravity—
“Ah, help—!”
He was startled, pushed aside by Han Jiangque from the side. He didn’t fall, just sat down on the soft bed.
“Wow!” Han Jiangque watched Wen Ke’s clumsy movements, laughing mischievously. “The Ke-style Floor-Sweeping, Stumble-Your-Own-Leg Technique.”
Wen Ke embarrassedly realized he had embarrassed himself.
Feeling a bit annoyed yet wanting to laugh, this time, he directly jumped onto Han Jiangque. Taking a risky approach, if Han Jiangque didn’t catch him, he would slide down—
But, as expected, Han Jiangque caught him firmly.
So, achieving his goal, Wen Ke wrapped one of the boxing-gloved hands around the Alpha’s head and gently bit Han Jiangque’s cheek.
“Hey, you’re not allowed to bite people.”
Han Jiangque was left dumbfounded by this combination. Rolling onto the bed together, Wen Ke finally released his mouth and said to Han Jiangque’s ear, “This is the Ke-style Bite-the-Stinky-Wolf Technique.”
Han Jiangque laughed uncontrollably. He suddenly pushed Wen Ke down, then gleefully pulled down Wen Ke’s pants, revealing a pair of snow-white, round buttocks. And then, happily using the boxing gloves, he gave two punches!
Wen Ke’s ass suddenly stung.
Of course, it wasn’t really painful, but mainly because Wen Ke was thoroughly dumbfounded. His face was burning, and he struggled to speak, “Wh-what are you doing?”
“Do you recognize this move?” Han Jiangque said proudly, “It’s the Lone Swordsmen’s Breaking-the-Butt Technique.”
He even emphasized each word.
“I’ll break your—”
Wen Ke’s face turned as red as a sunset, and he was so angry that he choked up.
