Last Love chapter 44

First Round:

The Bear King evidently took a small lead in points, securing a 10:9 advantage.

Amidst the piercing bell, Han Jiangque returned to his corner and sat down.

The coach quickly jumped to the edge of the ring, draped a robe over Han Jiangque, and then took a cold towel from an ice bucket to wipe his crimson face and body to soothe and reduce swelling.

Han Jiangque spat out the mouthguard, stained with a bit of blood, leaned against a pillar, and closed his eyes to recover.

Many people discussed the recent match in hushed tones, but Wen Ke stared at the resting Han Jiangque without blinking.

If only thoughts could be transmitted, he suddenly thought foolishly. Then he could convey his feelings and concerns to Han Jiangque.

When the bell for the second round rang, Han Jiangque stood up, removed the robe, jumped twice in place to warm up, shook his jet-black hair, and walked back to the center of the ring.

Han Jiangque was evidently more cautious, realizing that the Bear King was not as clumsy as he appeared. This seasoned boxer was not only strong but also cunning.

Being caught off guard by a heavy punch could likely temporarily disable him.

Han Jiangque quickly adjusted his tactics, no longer recklessly charging in but looking for opportunities in defense.

However, the experienced and over two meters tall Ivanov was not going to let Han Jiangque easily implement his strategy. His punches stormed like a hurricane, making Han Jiangque, who seemed almost slender in front of him, struggle to cope.

In the air-conditioned underground boxing arena, there was an atmosphere of stifling heat, as if it was difficult to breathe.

Han Jiangque’s body was drenched in sweat, and the “thud-thud” sounds of the boxing gloves striking the flesh, combined with the oppressive and bloody atmosphere, created an intense scene.

Han Jiangque had taken several punches from the Bear King, and his skin was becoming increasingly red, as if blood was about to seep out.

“JQ lacks the reach and height!” The skilled host commented, “The Bear King’s height suppression is too deadly. Striking low against a taller opponent, JQ mostly has to choose to attack the more robust chest instead of the head. It’s too challenging!”

Wen Ke, disregarding his pride, almost jumped up every few seconds, his emotions fluctuating. Eventually, he decided not to sit down at all.

In boxing, unlike traditional martial arts, all movements have been streamlined to the maximum. Excluding flashy maneuvers, physical qualities such as height play a decisive role.

Ivanov’s gigantic and muscular physique, resembling a mountain of flesh, and a neck almost as thick as his head, indicated his monster-like resilience against strikes.
