Hearing You Say Love chapter 76
Sponsor Daddy, Are You Satisfied Now?
Su Ming froze for a long moment before slowly regaining his composure. Clutching his pen, he turned to look at Zou Beiyuan.
Zou Beiyuan, oblivious, kissed him on the lips and asked, “Why’d you stop drawing? Tired?”
Su Ming didn’t respond, but his slightly narrowed eyes radiated a subtle hint of danger.
Everything started to make sense, and all the previously illogical details fell into place.
The anonymous account that spent tens of thousands to claim the top spot on his sponsor leaderboard—an account without even a username.
The one who spent thousands on every update and told the editor he wanted to be the “Number One Sponsor.”
The person who somehow knew his birthday despite never being told and brought him a cake the day after a comic update.
The reader who messaged his account on Jam Comics asking about his “favorite positions.”
The one who was particularly curious about his inspiration and muse for the next comic.
And, perhaps most tellingly, the troll who had argued online that “the rabbit doesn’t like the young wolf,” angering Su Ming so much that he vented on social media.
Su Ming thought back to one incident: the person who messaged him asking about his favorite positions had done so before they were even together.
Zou Beiyuan, for a “straight man,” you sure know a lot.
After a moment’s thought, Su Ming decided not to expose him—for now.
It was clear Zou Beiyuan had read the entire comic series. No wonder his behavior sometimes gave Su Ming a strange sense of familiarity.
For instance, wearing nothing but a white apron, certain… techniques with his hands, or the occasional crude remarks he would make in bed that were completely out of character.
So this is where he learned it all.
Su Ming found it both infuriating and endearing that this clumsy wolf had to reference a comic for tips on kissing and intimacy.
Leaning forward, he kissed Zou Beiyuan deeply, his tongue exploring as he traced every inch of Zou Beiyuan’s mouth, the sound of their mingling saliva filling the room.
Both were left panting, their chests heaving.
Breaking apart briefly, Su Ming dove back in for another kiss, his thirst growing as the shape pressing against him became more pronounced.
Lost in the moment, Su Ming barely managed to hold his pen. Scribbling sloppily on the storyboard, he wrote:
Today, I want to be on top.
He held up the tablet for Zou Beiyuan to see.
Zou Beiyuan’s wandering hand froze instantly. “Baby, you…”
Su Ming continued writing: Didn’t you say you liked the riding position?
Zou Beiyuan exhaled in relief and nodded. “Yeah.” Smiling, he kissed Su Ming again, letting his hand continue downwards.
The room was brightly lit, the glow accentuating Su Ming’s flushed skin, soft hair, and trembling lashes. His entire being radiated a refreshing citrus fragrance.
He casually tossed the tablet onto the bed, then turned to gently press Zou Beiyuan down.
Over 30 minutes later, Zou Beiyuan, holding onto Su Ming’s waist, was in disarray as he begged for mercy. “Damn… damn… Baby, slow down.”
…
This was the first time in a long while that Zou Beiyuan didn’t last over 40 minutes. It could practically be considered a major setback in his life.
Su Ming shot him a disdainful look.
Couldn’t even handle this, and you want to try the tricks you read about in comics?
The two of them ended up taking another shower before going to sleep.
Zou Beiyuan’s spine felt weak, the sensation lingering even as Su Ming fell asleep in his arms.
In the darkness, holding Su Ming, Zou Beiyuan wondered., When did I ever tell him I liked this position?
….
The next morning, Su Ming uncharacteristically asked Zou Beiyuan to help unpack the four boxes, bringing the stacks of title pages over to his work desk.
Zou Beiyuan noticed 20 sample comics among them. The covers depicted a rabbit pinned down by a wolf, with its arms wrapped around the wolf’s neck. Both the wolf and rabbit were looking directly at the viewer— the wolf’s gaze fierce, the rabbit’s suggestive.
The comics were sealed in plastic. Zou Beiyuan stared at the cover for a few seconds without saying anything and stacked them neatly on the desk.
“What are these pages for?” he asked Su Ming.
Su Ming signed: For signing.
Zou Beiyuan was startled. “Signing this many?”
Su Ming looked helpless: Twenty thousand sheets.
Zou Beiyuan immediately felt bad for him. “Twenty thousand? How long will that take?”
Su Ming signed: It’s fine. I’m used to it.
Zou Beiyuan grabbed Su Ming’s hands and massaged them, saying, “Baby, you’ve worked hard.”
Su Ming: …
Not as hard as you, Mr. Big-Spender.
Su Ming discreetly observed him and realized Zou Beiyuan was feigning ignorance. Despite the author’s name, Shu Yu Ming Jin, being prominent on the cover, Zou Beiyuan neither mentioned it nor asked any questions.
No wonder he’s a professional boxer— that level of composure is unreal.
Still, Su Ming decided to scare him a little.
Later that morning, as usual, they went to the speech therapy center. Before getting out of the car, Su Ming handed a piece of paper to Zou Beiyuan.
Because there were other cars waiting behind them, Zou Beiyuan didn’t look at it right away, tucking it into his coat pocket instead. It wasn’t until he parked at the gym that he took it out.
The paper was one of the signed title pages. Written in bold script across it was:
To User 7115646,
How did you like last night’s ride?
From Shu Yu Ming Jin.
At the therapy center, Su Ming headed upstairs, waiting for his therapist to finish with another appointment. Meanwhile, he messaged his friend Chen Muchao: [I know who that clueless, rich sponsor is.]
Chen Muchao replied: [?]
[Is it really someone you know in real life? Who’s that foolish?]Su Ming:
[It’s Little Wolf…]Chen Muchao: [I’m sorry.]
[I’m the fool here. Should’ve guessed.]Su Ming: [I’m so mad, damn it!]
Chen Muchao: [Don’t be mad! This proves he’s liked you for a long time. Remember when he bumped you to top trending? That was before you two were officially dating, right?]
Su Ming: [Exactly! He loves me so much! (blushing emoji)]
[But still, I’m mad!] [He spent hundreds of thousands tipping me, and the platform takes half. That’s our money!!] [OUR money! Ugh!]Moments later, a message popped up from Zou Beiyuan.
It was a photo of the paper Su Ming had given him.
Zou Beiyuan: [What’s this about?]
Su Ming: …
Go ahead, keep playing dumb.
Su Ming: [Oops, wrong page. That wasn’t meant for you.]
Switching to his comic app, he angrily opened the private chat with his top sponsor:
[If you tip me again, you can sleep in your own apartment!]A reply came shortly:
[Okay.]User 7115646: [How did you figure it out?]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [Take a guess.]
User 7115646: [No idea. Baby, you know I’m dumb.]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [How did you figure it out?]
User 7115646: [At first, I saw the first signed volume of Rabbit Conspiracy, Wolf Trail that Zou Jingnan had me pick up for her. The handwriting on it looked familiar.]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [Zou Jingnan???]
User 7115646: [That’s “Jing Ah Ni Nan Ge,” number 146 on your sponsor leaderboard.]
Su Ming felt a wave of dizziness. He recognized that username—it frequently left comments under his comic chapters.
Zou Jingnan had even jokingly called him “wife”!
User 7115646: [But she doesn’t know that Shu Yu Ming Jin is you.]
Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief: [Good…]
User 7115646: [But there’s someone else who knows your pen name. Someone you’re familiar with.]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [???]
User 7115646: [“Shu Jun Yi Mo” is Su Mo.]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [……]
User 7115646: [Don’t worry, baby. We all love you.]
Shu Yu Ming Jin: [Get lost!!!]
