Evil Love Appears

Evil Love Appears chapter 64

“Wait.”

Xu Jiale suddenly stepped forward, and at the same moment, Fu Jing held onto Fu Xiaoyu’s wrist tightly, pushing his son behind him while glaring at Xu Jiale.

Seeing that the situation was about to get out of control, Fu Xiaoyu suddenly spoke in a low voice, “Xu Jiale, I… I want to go back with my dad first.”

In reality, given his temper, he probably wouldn’t have been this compliant.

But at that moment, he really couldn’t let Fu Jing and Xu Jiale completely tear each other apart in front of Jin Chu. The thought of such a messy scene filled him with anxiety, making his fingers tremble.

Within that anxiety, there was an underlying fear—the fear of Jin Chu’s arrival.

He was an omega who had specially crossed the ocean to come here. He wouldn’t have come just for trivial chit-chat.

Xu Jiale heard Fu Xiaoyu speak and immediately stopped in his tracks, his expression suddenly pained. “Alright.”

He knew very well that, in such a situation, and from this position, no matter what he said, it wouldn’t help to calm the situation.

Xu Jiale could only watch as Fu Jing took Fu Xiaoyu to a taxi and left him standing there with Jin Chu.

The night had fallen silently without anyone noticing.

“Jin Chu, I’ve told you before, you should give notice before coming.”

Xu Jiale turned to face Jin Chu. His expression didn’t show too much anger, but rather a somewhat expressionless demeanor, which made Jin Chu uneasy.

“Jiale, I…”

“You said you had something to talk to me about, what is it?” Xu Jiale didn’t listen to his explanation and instead promptly interrupted him.

“Yes,” Jin Chu began, “After Nanyi went camping, I actually wanted to come to see you, and I couldn’t hold back any longer. Jiale, I specifically booked an evening flight to City B. I wanted to surprise you. I remember you said you hated twilight because it made you feel lonely. So… I wanted to meet you and talk to you at dusk.”

Only towards the end of his words did he look up at Xu Jiale and said softly, “Jiale, shall we go inside and talk?”

Xu Jiale also looked at him with his head lowered, and the silent gaze lasted for several seconds.

The extended gaze made Jin Chu anxious. Although Xu Jiale’s eyes seemed a little unfamiliar, he felt there must be some emotion hidden in them.

Just as Jin Chu was about to continue, Xu Jiale suddenly spoke, “Jin Chu, how long will you stay in City B?”

“I don’t know,” he hadn’t even booked a return ticket.

“Have you booked a hotel?”

“No… I haven’t,” the rapid succession of questions took Jin Chu by surprise, and he stumbled on his response.

“I’ll book a room for you.” Xu Jiale quickly operated on his phone, then opened the car door. He turned to Jin Chu and said, “I’ll take you there now.”

On the way back to Junya Court, it was quiet inside the taxi. Neither Fu Jing nor Fu Xiaoyu spoke. They remained silent until they entered Fu Xiaoyu’s spacious and luxurious home.

Fu Jing sat down on the couch and looked up at Fu Xiaoyu.

Fu Xiaoyu didn’t look back at him and went to the kitchen to fetch two bottles of mineral water. He returned and handed one bottle to Fu Jing while holding the other, without opening it. He didn’t make any move to sit down and just stood a few paces away from Fu Jing.

“That alpha, Xu Jiale,” Fu Jing took a sip of mineral water, and his initially hoarse voice slowly regained some composure, “Cut off all contact with him. You must not see him again.”

When he said this, his tone made it clear that there was no room for negotiation.

But Fu Xiaoyu just stood there in silence.

“Fu Xiaoyu!”

Fu Jing’s voice suddenly rose. “Fu Xiaoyu! Did you hear what I said?!”

This wasn’t like failing an exam, or not successfully winning over Han Jiangque.

This time, Fu Jing was truly frustrated.

“I heard you.”

“Good, now send him a message saying you’re breaking up, and you won’t see each other again in the future.”

“…”

“Speak up!”

Fu Xiaoyu fell silent again. He seemed like a timid child, even though he had chosen a relatively easy question to evade for the moment. Yet, he couldn’t ultimately escape the relentless questioning, like a storm.

He turned away, gripping a mineral water bottle tightly in his palm.

Due to the force, the plastic bottle made a squeaking noise.

“You don’t want to talk, huh? Fine, then I’ll just call him directly.”

Fu Jing couldn’t take it anymore and suddenly rushed over, attempting to snatch Fu Xiaoyu’s phone.

Fu Jing’s rage during these moments was a nightmare from Fu Xiaoyu’s childhood.

After being with Tang Ning, Fu Jing’s emotions had improved considerably. He rarely beat him as harshly as before, even if there were occasional extremely violent outbursts. Tang Ning’s presence still managed to keep Fu Jing in check, maintaining some semblance of calm in their home.

However, even so, the adult Fu Xiaoyu chose to keep as far away as possible from the family in Shuncheng.

He had never truly shaken off his fear of facing Fu Jing.

Even at this moment, sweat instantly formed on his back.

“Give me the phone!”

Fu Jing was infuriated to the point of having a splitting headache and roared, “Fu Xiaoyu! If you still consider me your father, break up with him immediately!”

Fu Xiaoyu took several steps back in panic. But upon hearing these words, he felt an intense and almost burning anger surge from his chest in the midst of his extreme panic.

He violently smashed the mineral water bottle onto the ground, producing a loud “bang.”

Fu Jing was startled, and his movements came to a halt.

Fu Xiaoyu’s chest heaved, and his usually calm and composed eyes now seemed to burn with flames.

He had never exposed his anger so thoroughly before.

Even for a moment, he was somewhat at a loss, only able to breathe heavily and gradually regain his composure before finally speaking.

“I won’t break up with him.”

“Dad,” he paused, kicked the mineral water bottle aside, and said deliberately, “or should I call you Fu Jing? If you’re going to threaten me like this, it doesn’t matter. I don’t care; but I won’t break up with him.”

“Fu Xiaoyu…”

Fu Jing’s eyes widened.

He actually had a pair of eyes that looked very similar to Fu Xiaoyu’s, and at this moment, he didn’t even realize he should be angry; his eyes were filled with shock.

For a moment, Fu Jing’s voice trembled slightly as he spoke, “He’s a divorced alpha! He has an ex-husband and a child. Do you know how complicated it is to date someone like that? Do you want to be a stepfather? What are you thinking, Fu Xiaoyu? Do you still think I’m treating you unfairly?”

“I raised you, worked hard to find you a good family, sent you abroad to study, and introduced you to someone as well-matched as Wen Huaixuan. But you turned around and got with this alpha. He wants to sleep with you, and you eagerly moved into his house. Are you lowering your own value, Fu Xiaoyu? Have you forgotten everything I’ve taught you all these years?”

In fact, Fu Xiaoyu could predict every word Fu Jing was saying.

But even though he could predict it, at that moment, he felt like he was falling apart.

His limbs started to go numb, and the numbness spread towards his heart, as if that way he wouldn’t feel the pain.

“Fu Jing, it was actually my initiative. I pursued him actively, and I approached him on my own.”

Suddenly, Fu Xiaoyu lowered his head and fastened the shirt cufflinks that had been undone while he was struggling with Fu Jing earlier.

“When I was about fifteen, one day, I started to hate it when you touched me. Every time you held my hand or hugged me, I wanted to get away. At that time, you even told Tang Ning that I had grown up and didn’t want to be hugged. But it wasn’t like that. I didn’t understand why, but that kind of aversion was real, and it was physical.”

This statement itself was abrupt, but the content within it completely stunned Fu Jing.

He may have never imagined that Fu Xiaoyu would say such cold words to him.

“After growing up, I always thought that I was naturally averse to intimate contact with people, even with Han Jiangque. Despite spending so much time with him, I never wanted a closer connection. Until I met Xu Jiale…”

“Being with him feels good and I crave to be touched by him.” His voice was soft, but every word was clear: “Every second, I want to be close to him, intimately close, even nakedly close, and that’s why… I really enjoy making love with him. Even just holding hands and talking, because when our fingers entwine, it brings a feeling of happiness.”

He calmly spoke very straightforward words to his father, who had always been strict.

He could write “great sex” on a board, but when facing his father saying he enjoyed making love seemed as if he had become unprincipled and lecherous.

But he didn’t care, and even felt a sense of relief.

“When I lived with you, I was rarely happy.”

Fu Xiaoyu said calmly, “I’ve always listened to your words, studied diligently, pursued higher education abroad, aimed for a high position, and looked for an all-around excellent alpha. But from childhood to now, it seems like you’ve never asked me seriously even once: Xiaoyu, what do you like to do? What makes you happy?”

“You never asked me.”

Fu Xiaoyu repeated, “But it doesn’t matter; I’ve found it myself now, and I cherish this happiness. So, I won’t break up with Xu Jiale.”

“Fu Xiaoyu, are you determined to quarrel with me over this alpha now?”

Fu Jing tried hard to pull himself together and act like his father, but his trembling fingers betrayed his vulnerability at this moment.

“Yes.”

Fu Xiaoyu’s voice was soft but decisive.

He continued slowly, “If you insist on threatening me, that’s fine. I will still send money to you and Aunt Tang every month, but we won’t meet for the time being, and we won’t talk on the phone. If there’s anything, use Aunt Tang to contact me.”

Fu Jing’s heart turned completely cold, and he said in a hoarse voice, “Alright, Fu Xiaoyu, I’ll pretend I never raised you, and I don’t need your money.”

He turned and walked away, even though there was a faint one-second hope at that moment, but he quickly realized—

Fu Xiaoyu wouldn’t try to keep him, let alone yield.

He clenched his teeth and slammed the door of Junya Villa.

After a few minutes, Fu Xiaoyu, standing in the living room, bent down to pick up the fallen water bottle and placed it on the coffee table.

He felt somewhat lost and, after a while, walked to the window, intending to let some fresh air into the stuffy room. However, as he drew the curtain aside, he suddenly saw Fu Jing with his back to him, crouched outside the window near the flowerbed, talking on the phone.

He hesitated for a moment, then opened the window slightly to eavesdrop on Fu Jing’s intermittent voice carried by the wind.

“Sister, um…” he seemed to be sniffing and repeated “um” several times before softly saying, “Don’t come. I’ll take the high-speed train back by myself. Sister… can you, can you pick me up at the high-speed train station, okay?”

Fu Xiaoyu hid behind the curtain, looking down at his own toes for a long time, but in the end, he didn’t step out.
