Evil Love Appears

Evil Love Appears chapter 58

“What are you doing here?”

As soon as Xu Jiale heard Uncle Yu’s words, his scalp began to tingle because this was exactly the familiar and condescending tone of voice used by Murong Jingya. But before he could respond, Wen Huaixuan, who was standing beside him, widened his eyes.

“You…,” he stammered, glanced at the Phantom across the street, then turned to Xu Jiale, “You are… Mr. Murong Jingya’s son?”

Because he was so surprised, his tone even seemed a bit impolite.

You see, Murong Jingya didn’t stay at Junya very often. So, the fact that the Phantom had never been seen entering or leaving by Fu Xiaoyu, who had recently moved to Junya, wasn’t a big deal. However, for Wen Huaixuan, who had grown up in this area, the car was quite familiar. That’s why he recognized it at a glance.

But he really hadn’t expected that the guy driving the discounted Tesla and wearing a hoodie would be Murong Jingya’s son.

This feeling was akin to suddenly witnessing a character in a martial arts novel, where, right before his eyes, Zeng Aniu directly transformed into Zhang Wuji and even demonstrated the Qiankun Da Nuo Yi technique.

Well, driving a Tesla is a way to experience the ups and downs of life.

Wen Huaixuan’s emotions fluctuated greatly, and his facial expressions, which were usually well-controlled, became somewhat uncontrollable.

On the other hand, Fu Xiaoyu, upon hearing Wen Huaixuan’s revelation of the name, was also dumbfounded.

He watched financial news regularly every morning, so there was no way he wouldn’t know who Murong Jingya was. It was rather embarrassing, but he had even recently bought two Hong Kong stocks from Murong Jingya’s Shao Tian series, and he remembered their HKXXXX codes clearly.

However, he never thought that the Phantom he had ridden in not too long ago was actually the car of Mr. Murong Jingya, the one mentioned by Xu Jiale. Knowing that Xu Jiale came from an affluent background was one thing, but knowing that he was Murong Jingya’s son was another.

For a moment, he didn’t know how to process this information.

As Uncle Yu approached, the only person at the scene who didn’t seem shocked but rather felt a headache was Xu Jiale.

“Hello, Mr. Wen.”

As Uncle Yu approached, he politely greeted Wen Huaixuan first and then quickly glanced at the Tesla parked on the side.

Then he smiled and calmly said to Xu Jiale, “Jiale, it looks like it’s going to rain soon. Mr. Murong asked me to drive you back. He also wants to speak to you.”

“…,” Xu Jiale fell silent for a moment, then finally said, “Okay.”

He felt somewhat stuck in a difficult situation. He had initially asked to borrow the car, and now his father had offered to drive them. At this point, refusing in front of Wen Huaixuan, who was essentially a stranger, would make him feel uncomfortable.

At this moment, Fu Xiaoyu couldn’t help but give Xu Jiale’s hand a squeeze. There was a hint of nervousness in Fu Xiaoyu’s expression.

“Don’t worry,” Xu Jiale obviously knew what Fu Xiaoyu was implying and said in a low voice, “It’s fine.”

Fu Xiaoyu then turned to glance at Wen Huaixuan, who was standing beside them, still displaying a somewhat surprised expression.

“Wen Huaixuan, we should get going. Thank you for today.”

As the black Phantom slowly pulled into the driveway, Xu Jiale’s expression at this point was more serious and less childish than when he had confronted Wen Huaixuan. However, as Uncle Yu opened the car door, Xu Jiale suddenly held Fu Xiaoyu’s hand for a few seconds before letting the Omega sit in the front passenger seat. It was a somewhat unnecessary gesture, but this time, it wasn’t meant to assert anything in front of Wen Huaixuan.

After taking a deep breath, Xu Jiale finally took his seat in the back.

The start of the Phantom was so smooth and comfortable that it was almost imperceptible. The windows on both sides quickly darkened, and the entire car exuded a rich, lingering scent of roses.

Murong Jingya didn’t like to use masking perfumes to cover his natural scent, so all the Alphas he worked with had to learn to tolerate the intimidating presence of an S-level Omega.

“Hello, Mr. Murong.”

As soon as he sat down, Fu Xiaoyu turned to greet him. His seating arrangement in the front passenger seat was somewhat awkward, but sitting in the back would have been even more uncomfortable.

He maintained a calm tone in his voice, but there was a hint of tension in his delivery.

“Hello. And who are you?”

“Fu Xiaoyu.”

Murong Jingya leaned back in his seat, his face hidden in the dappled shadows. From Fu Xiaoyu’s perspective, it was difficult to make out his features, but he could faintly sense the man nodding slightly.

“Since you’re not feeling well, turn around and rest.”

Murong Jingya’s voice was deep, and although the content of his words was caring, his tone showed little emotion. It sounded more like a natural command.

Fu Xiaoyu could only turn his head in silence and lean against the front passenger seat without speaking.

“You’ve been back in B City for a while now. Have you had enough fun?”

Murong Jingya supported his chin with his left hand, and slowly inquired.

A prominent sapphire ring adorned his ring finger, and in the dimly lit car, it sparkled brightly.

“It’s been okay,” Xu Jiale replied casually.

“What about your studies?”

“Don’t worry, I’ll graduate eventually.”

“When do you plan to return to the United States?”

“I have no plans.”

Fu Xiaoyu sat quietly in the front passenger seat. For some reason, their conversation felt swift, like a well-oiled machine, and there was a lack of emotional flow.

And amid the fluidity, anyone could sense the tension building between father and son.

Meanwhile, Uncle Yu, who was driving, remained silent, his attention focused on the road, as if he had merged with the car itself.

“Xu Jiale, you’ve been divorced for over half a year. Haven’t you thought about telling me?”

Murong Jingya finally sat up slightly, and his face emerged from the shadows. Even in his fifties, he still radiated the handsome features he had in his prime.

His sharp facial contours made him age gracefully, and the slight wrinkles at the corners of his phoenix-like eyes didn’t diminish his commanding authority.

Xu Jiale smiled briefly. His expression appeared nonchalant, but his eyes held no humor. He replied bluntly. “Since you never liked Jin Chu before, I didn’t want to hear your ‘I told you so’ nonsense. It’s pointless.”

“Indeed, I wasn’t satisfied with your choice, and it’s proven that my judgment was correct.”

When Murong Jingya expressed his dissatisfaction, his voice remained calm and deep. “But no matter how dissatisfied I am, marriage was your choice. Once you’re married and have children, you have responsibilities. Each role comes with its way of life. Do you remember your identity, though? You’re an Alpha father. Do you plan to continue messing around in B City?”

Fu Xiaoyu’s fingers trembled slightly.

Once again, he realized clearly that when Murong Jingya had greeted him earlier, it was not out of concern but rather a distant rejection.

In the eyes of this older Omega, family values were paramount, and he was nothing more than someone who was “messing around,” entirely disregarded.

“Murong Jingya.”

Murong Jingya’s words clearly irked Xu Jiale.

He, an Alpha, sat up abruptly and locked eyes with Murong Jingya for a few seconds before finally speaking slowly and deeply, “I know my identity and what I should do. You didn’t pay much attention to me when I was a child, and now that I’m 30, I don’t need you to interfere or give your opinions. What about you? Do you remember your identity?”

He said this and seemed on the verge of forcing himself to hold back the rest of his words with reason.

But Murong Jingya stared at him and asked directly, “What do you want to say?”

“Remember your own identity as well,” Xu Jiale said without expression. “You’re Mr. Xu’s Omega. Don’t make him sad like you used to. Time is running out. Are you planning to stay in B City without returning to Jincheng to be with him?”

Murong Jingya was about to speak, but he suddenly started coughing.

His coughing was rather severe, and his pale face turned slightly red.

The car fell into silence for a moment. Xu Jiale was the first to speak, “Do you have a cold?”

“No.” Murong Jingya coughed again, his voice hoarse. “Xu Jiale, the things I did wrong are up to your dad to decide whether to forgive or not.”

Just then, the car made a soft sound as Uncle Yu stopped the vehicle but said nothing.

Murong Jingya took a silk handkerchief from his shirt pocket and wiped the corners of his mouth. Then, he finally returned to his initial composure, saying coldly, “Get out.”

Xu Jiale wasted no time and forcefully pushed open the car door.

“Xu Jiale,” Murong Jingya spoke from behind, “in addition to being Mr. Xu’s Omega, I’m your father. Don’t dare to talk to me like this again. Don’t think about using the Xu family’s resources to help your friends behind my back.”

Xu Jiale didn’t respond but went to open the car door for Fu Xiaoyu.

Before Fu Xiaoyu stepped out, Murong Jingya suddenly asked, “Did my son buy the house at Junya Manor for you?”

“N-no,” Fu Xiaoyu pulled Xu Jiale to the side and explained calmly, “Mr. Murong, I’m the Executive CEO of IM Group. Last year, we initially intended to issue shares, but the parent company later said the shareholders wouldn’t approve. So they gave me a fully-paid property instead, and I agreed.”

For the first time, these words made Murong Jingya take a serious look at the Omega in front of him.

He fell silent for a moment and then said, “Next time, make sure to get the shares.”

“Alright.”

It seemed like the older Omega in the car was a bit weary. He reclined in the back seat, signaling Uncle Yu to close the door, and the black Phantom slowly drove away.
