Evil Love Appears chapter 56
The air in the room suddenly grew quiet, and Fu Xiaoyu wanted to turn his head to see Xu Jiale’s expression, but as soon as that thought crossed his mind, he forcefully suppressed it.
No, he didn’t want to know how Xu Jiale would react.
He kept staring straight ahead at the small whiteboard and felt his whole face flush.
In that moment, he had only one thought.
Dear Lord, what was he thinking when he wrote that?
Why did he make “great sex” so big?
Time might have only passed a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity had gone by. Finally, Xu Jiale let out a low chuckle.
“Wow.” After the alpha chuckled, he seemed to regain some of his humanity, tried to restrain himself, touched his nose, and said in a muffled voice, “So, I’m the great sex master?”
Fu Xiaoyu stood there motionless.
But in his mind, he was already covering his forehead and gritting his teeth.
Cursing the alpha he was ardently pursuing didn’t feel right, but he couldn’t help it.
Xu Jiale didn’t shut up.
Xu Jiale even stepped forward, examining the small whiteboard on the wall more carefully.
In that moment, his first thought was, “I didn’t expect that Fu Xiaoyu’s handwriting would be so ugly.”
Ha-ha-ha.
He was a beautiful omega with an elite aura, but his Chinese characters were crooked and even his English couldn’t be considered nice. Every letter looked round and plump.
Especially “great sex.”
Childish font, adult topic, exceptionally ridiculous. The chubby two words were even circled with red hearts.
“Fu Xiaoyu, is it really that greeeat?” Xu Jiale turned to look at Fu Xiaoyu, deliberately elongating the word.
“…” Fu Xiaoyu made up his mind.
Silence is golden. He didn’t utter a word, avoided eye contact, and only looked straight ahead.
The fair skin of his ears turned red due to shyness.
Of course, Xu Jiale knew he wouldn’t answer, and he continued to look at the whiteboard with interest.
Fu Xiaoyu had created a mind map with Xu Jiale at the center. Xu Jiale understood it instantly. The keywords around his name were color-coded: red for positive attributes and black for negative ones.
Apart from the most prominent “great sex” in red, a cursory glance revealed quite a few other red areas on the large whiteboard, densely packed, including:
- Pheromones smell good.
At this moment, Xu Jiale thought, “Of course.”
- Likes to chat with him.
- Gentle.
- Takes me to eat delicious food (referring to crab claws).
- Smokes (women’s brand, with a cigarette case).
- A good dad.
- Good to Xia’an.
- Acts silly when fighting with Han Jiangque.
When Xu Jiale reached this point, he couldn’t help but be puzzled: Why is this one in red?
- Handsome.
Xu Jiale looked closely and couldn’t help the corners of his mouth from curling upwards. It wasn’t “good-looking” or “attractive,” not any other word that could be used to obfuscate, but simple, concise, and powerful: “handsome.”
If time allowed, Xu Jiale wished he could recite this string of words over and over like learning vocabulary for an IELTS exam.
In this sea of red, the black markers had clearly left only a few feeble words.
Foremost among them was “pre-bed disclaimer” in big letters. Thinking back to how, before they slept together during the last heat period, he had firmly declared that they would still be colleagues afterward. This incident had only happened a few months ago, but it felt distant. Deliberately or unintentionally, he felt as if he was experiencing amnesia about this matter.
Apart from this, there was “marital status,” which Xu Jiale didn’t dwell on. But what left him speechless was the last point:
“Not serious about work attitude.”
Dammit, Fu Xiaoyu, you’re pursuing a partner, was it really necessary to put this in?
The more Xu Jiale thought about it, the more annoyed he became. He pulled a blue marker from the nearby penholder, circled one point, and drew three question marks beside it.
“What are you doing?” Fu Xiaoyu, who had been quiet all along, saw Xu Jiale drawing on his whiteboard and couldn’t help but ask softly.
“I need to make some corrections to this mind map of yours,” Xu Jiale huffed and, out of curiosity, took the board off its hook and flipped it over.
“Don’t—” Fu Xiaoyu subconsciously tried to stop him, but it was too late.
The first line on the back of the whiteboard was written prominently: “Step One Strategy: Limited Initiative Contact.”
The back side contained even more information, and beneath the “Limited Initiative Contact” strategy, there was even a SWOT analysis.
Damn it, Xu Jiale swore he had never stared so seriously at a SWOT analysis, something so boring, in his entire life.
From childhood to adulthood, he had indeed received many love letters from omegas, but he had never seen a way of expressing affection like this, analyzing and conquering him like a strategic target.
His heart raced.
The SWOT analysis clearly wasn’t complete. Perhaps this omega planned to continue observing while filling it out as they progressed.
Under the “work together advantages” section, Fu Xiaoyu placed it beneath the “Advantages” category. And this was his only advantage.
Under the “Opportunities” section, he earnestly wrote: “Use work advantages to create opportunities to spend time together.”
Next to “Create opportunities to spend time together,” there was a yellow sticky note with a list of restaurants where Xu Jiale might like to eat.
Xu Jiale suddenly remembered how this omega used to invite him to dinner all the time, seemingly oblivious.
In reality, looking closely at Fu Xiaoyu’s self-strategy assessment table, he had written very few advantages for himself but had listed many disadvantages. He put his busy schedule in the disadvantages, his strong personality in the disadvantages, and even the unfavorable impression he had left in front of Xu Jiale’s friends went into the disadvantages.
Xu Jiale suddenly realized that when they played basketball that day, Fu Xiaoyu was working so hard because he had a strong desire to overturn these disadvantages.
This omega really wanted him.
After a long blank space, at the bottom of the table, it was written, “First step strategy: Failure.”
After this sentence, the owner of this blank board seemed to be in a brief state of confusion. It could be seen that he hastily wrote a few words, crossed them out with a marker, and finally, in messy handwriting, wrote a concise sentence—
“He doesn’t like me.”
This sentence made Xu Jiale suddenly feel a strong pang in his heart.
Through this blank board, he seemed to glimpse the feelings of Fu Xiaoyu when he foolishly approached him, from the ambitious approach, carefully planning every step, to the eventual confusion and disappointment.
Xu Jiale tightened his blue marker, drew a line under “He doesn’t like me,” and then placed a heavy cross next to it.
“I’m taking this board with me,” Xu Jiale suddenly said in a low voice.
“Xu Jiale…”
Fu Xiaoyu initially felt embarrassed, but when he saw Xu Jiale harshly correcting that sentence on his own blank board, his voice suddenly softened, and he… didn’t want to refuse.
Xu Jiale was about to put the whiteboard carefully with the rest of the things to take back, but just as he turned the board over again, he suddenly squinted his eyes—
The “Jia” in his name…
Fu Xiaoyu had actually written his name wrong.
He lightly tapped Fu Xiaoyu’s head with the whiteboard, “Damn, Fu Xiaoyu, you can’t even write ‘Jia’ correctly, it’s a mouth underneath, not a sun.”
Oh my god, it couldn’t get more embarrassing than this.
Fu Xiaoyu’s mind was in turmoil.
It’s not that he couldn’t write it; it’s just that he had spent years studying abroad before returning to work in China, and he had few opportunities to handwrite Chinese characters. Even when he did, he didn’t pay much attention, which led to this embarrassing situation.
“Give it to me, Xu Jiale, let me fix it.” Fu Xiaoyu instinctively wanted to snatch the whiteboard, and his face turned red with urgency.
“You want to fix it?” Xu Jiale said, “Can’t be fixed, Fu Xiaoyu, the fact that you can’t even write the name of the person you like will forever be engraved on the pillar of shame. When you get home, write ‘Xu Jiale’ three hundred times, no dinner until you finish.”
“Xu Jiale!” Fu Xiaoyu was getting anxious. Writing his name three hundred times was fine, but he couldn’t let it go without correcting it. “This is my board, why can’t I fix it?”
“Maybe because,” Xu Jiale said with a mischievous smile, “I’m really great at sex?”
“…,” Fu Xiaoyu was left speechless.
Xu Jiale’s mood was a bit off the charts; he found strange pleasure in this silliness.
After they finished packing several bags of items to take home at Fu Xiaoyu’s place, Xu Jiale was moving them outside, and Fu Xiaoyu obediently stood by the driveway waiting for him.
Xu Jiale had a smile that wouldn’t go away on his face. Just as he was about to close the trunk of the Tesla, he suddenly saw a black Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon slowly pulling into the driveway.
He turned to look at Fu Xiaoyu, with a slightly probing look, and Fu Xiaoyu also looked a bit puzzled; he hadn’t seen this car before.
Just as they exchanged glances, the door of the G-Wagon opened, and a tall alpha in a sharp gray suit got out, carrying a big bunch of daffodils, the kind you visit patients with.
His line of sight happened to be blocked by the Tesla, and he didn’t see Fu Xiaoyu behind it, so he smiled politely at Xu Jiale, extending his hand, “Hello, I’m surnamed Wen, I’ve come to pay Mr. Fu a visit. May I ask who you are?”
