Evil Love Appears

Evil Love Appears chapter 109

The encounter between Fu Xiaoyu and Jin Chu probably lasted less than a minute. Xu Jiale, who had been discreetly watching from afar, immediately strode over.

He quite conspicuously positioned himself directly between Fu Xiaoyu and Jin Chu, then whispered to Nanyi, “Sweetie, Uncle Wen Ke is here.”

This sentence seemed ordinary, but in reality, it was an incredibly effective tactic to grab Nanyi’s attention. Over the years, every time Xu Jiale brought Nanyi to meet Wen Ke, the little guy would cling to Wen Ke all day long. Although Wen Ke hadn’t given birth to any children at the time, he seemed to have an innate charm that drew kids to him.

Sure enough, Nanyi raised his head, looked around, and quickly spotted Wen Ke walking not far away with the service staff.

“Uncle Wen!” Nanyi practically leaped into Wen Ke’s arms with enthusiasm.

“Nanyi, haven’t seen you in so long. Do you miss Uncle?” Wen Ke’s eyes softened as he hugged the little one.

“I missed you!” Nanyi immediately nodded.

Xu Jiale had wanted to seize this moment to talk to Fu Xiaoyu, as he hadn’t found an opportunity all morning. However, at this point, the boarding announcement came over the lounge’s speakers.

“President Fu, let’s go.”

Wen Huaixuan, who was carrying an elegant little Louis Vuitton suitcase, approached and naturally addressed Fu Xiaoyu, emitting a familiar scent of alcohol pheromones. Fu Xiaoyu had no reservations, and together with Wen Huaixuan and Wang Xiaoshan, they proceeded directly toward the boarding gate.

Damn it!

Xu Jiale mentally sighed. He had intended to reach for Nanyi’s hand but ended up empty-handed.

Nanyi had already excitedly run toward Wen Ke, who was now heading for the boarding gate, with his little bear backpack bouncing along behind him.

Xu Jiale and Jin Chu exchanged glances but didn’t say a word. They walked together in silence towards the boarding gate.

Wen Ke and Han Jiangque had chartered the plane, but it was relatively small, with only about eight first-class seats in the front. Han Jiangque’s eldest and second brother took up those seats, so the others naturally moved to the back.

Even though it was a charter flight, when the plane was taking off, everyone still sat obediently in their seats with their seatbelts fastened.

It wasn’t until they reached the cruising phase that they began to unfasten their seatbelts and move around.

Xu Jiale and Wen Ke each took a seat in the first row by the aisle. They had hoped to have a conversation during the flight, but Nanyi, after unfastening his seatbelt, immediately ran down to Xu Jiale’s side and extended his arms towards Wen Ke.

“Uncle Wen Ke,” Nanyi looked at Wen Ke with sparkling eyes.

“Okay, Uncle Wen Ke will hold you on the plane.”

Although Wen Ke appeared somewhat tired, he gently lifted the little guy onto his lap, saying, “Nanyi, this is uncle Wen Ke’s alpha, Uncle Han Jiangque.”

Nanyi raised his head and, upon seeing the tall alpha sitting beside Wen Ke, instead of greeting immediately, he scrutinized him carefully before finally nodding, quite formally saying, “Hello, Uncle Han Jiangque.”

Xu Jiale watched with satisfaction. He knew his son best.

While Nanyi was not yet differentiated, his attitude toward alphas and omegas was quite distinct. In terms of appearance, Han Jiangque was undeniably good-looking, but Nanyi did not give him any special treatment. The scrutinizing look he had just given was clearly an appraisal.

An appraisal to see if Uncle Han Jiangque was qualified to be Uncle Wen Ke’s alpha.

“Uncle Wen Ke,” Nanyi turned his head and said, “Daddy told me you recently had twins.”

“That’s right,” Wen Ke smiled. “Two little boys. When they grow up, Uncle Wen Ke will take you and them out to play, alright?”

“Alright,” Nanyi nodded, leaning in closer to Wen Ke. “Uncle Wen Ke, having two babies must be tiring.”

“You’re right,” Wen Ke said. “Thank you, Nanyi.” He held the little boy even tighter.

On the other side, Han Jiangque, despite still completely ignoring Xu Jiale, cast a soft, affectionate look towards Nanyi. He gently ruffled the boy’s head and replied in a low voice, “I’ll make sure to treat Uncle Wen Ke well, Nanyi.”

Xu Jiale suddenly found Han Princess’s earnest promise to his son rather endearing. But to be honest, at this moment, only 30% of his focus was on Nanyi and Wen Ke. The other 70% was embarrassingly directed at straining to hear what was being said in the row of seats directly behind Wen Ke.

“Actually, the last time in Ho Chi Minh City, I wanted to spend a few more days with you. I know Vietnam well, but I didn’t expect you to come down with dengue fever. That was truly unfortunate.”

“It’s alright.” Fu Xiaoyu’s voice was somewhat blurred, and it sounded like he was saying, “In the future… we’ll have more opportunities.”

Fu Xiaoyu said something about more opportunities?

The more unclear Xu Jiale’s understanding was, the more anxious he felt. At times, it seemed that Fu Xiaoyu was saying, “There are many opportunities to visit Vietnam.” Other times, it seemed as if Fu Xiaoyu was saying, “There are more opportunities to hang out together.”

Vietnam coupled with Wen Huaixuan, these two keywords combined, were enough to give Xu Jiale a heart attack.

Honestly, when it came to flirting, Wen Huaixuan’s skills were top-notch. He felt like the high school version of himself would be knocked out with a single punch.

Unfortunately, this seemingly simple topic was giving him the biggest headache of his life.

He couldn’t take it any longer and turned to look at Fu Xiaoyu’s row of seats, and his eyes met Wang Xiaoshan’s.

“Let’s find another topic.”

Xu Jiale tried to signal with his eyes.

Wang Xiaoshan, who initially appeared somewhat bored and on the verge of yawning, seemed to understand something when he made eye contact with Xu Jiale. He immediately suggested, “President Fu, how about we play a game of Landlord? There are still several hours left on this flight, and just chatting isn’t very entertaining.”

Landlord?

Darn, Landlord?

You’re proposing a game meant for exactly three players?

Xu Jiale nearly choked on his own blood, and he was on the verge of giving a fierce look to Wang Xiaoshan, who was usually clever and cute.

“Sure.”

Fu Xiaoyu raised his head just in time to see Xu Jiale turn and look in their direction. His round, cat-like eyes did not avoid his gaze and, instead, met Xu Jiale’s as he said, “It’s been a while since I played.”

“Xu Jiale, do you have a deck of cards?” Wang Xiaoshan asked.

“No,” Xu Jiale replied promptly.

“Oh,” Wang Xiaoshan wasn’t discouraged, and he turned to Hu Xia, who was sitting behind Xu Jiale. “Hu Xia, do you have any?”

“What?” Hu Xia was initially somewhat drowsy. At the moment, he pushed his straw hat up to reveal a pair of bewildered eyes. “Playing cards, right? Yes, I have them.”

Hu Xia didn’t even finish his sentence before becoming the target of Xu Jiale’s furious gaze.

To be clear, giving an angry look to passengers sitting behind you on a plane requires leaning out and sharply turning your neck back.

Hu Xia was left bewildered by Xu Jiale’s behavior and was holding the playing cards in a daze.

“Give them to me,” Fu Xiaoyu reached out his arm from his seat across the aisle and took the cards from Hu Xia’s hand.

Xu Jiale randomly grabbed an in-flight shopping magazine from the plane, seemingly reading it but actually sitting on pins and needles. However, the row behind him was already playing Landlord merrily.

Because excessive drinking on the plane was not advisable, Wang Xiaoshan had devised an alternative punishment: sticking sticky notes on the loser’s face.

However, as they started playing, it was a familiar game, and it was the same Fu Xiaoyu who, regardless of his hand, stubbornly called “Landlord.”

Every time Xu Jiale heard the voice from the back calling “Landlord,” he couldn’t help but turn around. Each time he did, he saw another yellow sticky note on Fu Xiaoyu’s fair face.

He knew better than anyone that Fu Xiaoyu had a tall, slender figure but a small face. In the past, he could use one hand to cover more than half of Fu Xiaoyu’s face, and seeing all those yellow notes made his heart race.

He took a quick look and saw that Nanyi was still snuggled comfortably in Wen Ke’s arms, which put his mind at ease.

With his mind at ease, he strengthened his resolve. He bit his tongue and found his skin thickening. He suddenly stood up and walked over to Wang Xiaoshan, who was sitting next to him.

“Xiaoshan, let me play a couple of rounds.”

Wang Xiaoshan, usually unassuming and skilled at cards, had hesitated at first but decided to take a break after seeing Xu Jiale’s expression.

After Xu Jiale sat down, Fu Xiaoyu sat up straighter and removed the yellow notes from his face one by one.

“Let’s start over.”

“Sure,” Wen Huaixuan agreed, although he wasn’t very happy for a second, he didn’t say much and immediately started shuffling the deck of cards on the table.

“Actually, these Southeast Asian countries are perfect for vacationing. It’s summer all year round, and you can get by with simple clothes.”

Wen Huaixuan’s card shuffling was very skillful. He spoke as he shuffled, indicating that he didn’t want Xu Jiale to speak much. He engaged Fu Xiaoyu in casual conversation about something else. “Speaking of which, I usually see you in very proper shirts and suits. It’s the first time I’ve seen you so casually dressed. I didn’t expect it to suit you so well; you look great.”

Discussing clothing was a topic typically reserved for close friends. However, when Xu Jiale glanced at Wen Huaixuan, he followed up by saying, “Indeed. If you want to dress casually and a bit flashy at the beach, Floral shirts are the perfect fit.”

He even intentionally and cunningly waited for Wen Huaixuan’s response.

Every time Wen Huaixuan complimented Fu Xiaoyu, he would narrow his eyes proudly because every one of Wen Huaixuan’s compliments was essentially praising his taste.

But just then, Fu Xiaoyu, who had been sitting for a while, stretched and absentmindedly pushed his foot forward.

At that moment, Xu Jiale felt Fu Xiaoyu’s ankle lightly brushing against his own. The cold sensation of the golden anklet rested on his skin, brief yet enticing to the point where it almost felt like an intimate encounter, despite being less than a second’s touch.

Xu Jiale almost instantly sat upright.

Though he was sitting straight, his mind was filled with thoughts of Fu Xiaoyu’s delicate and fair-skinned ankle, with the golden anklet perfectly catching on the bony protrusion above his ankle.

Of course, Fu Xiaoyu also sensed that fleeting touch.

With his round, cat-like eyes, he looked at Xu Jiale for just a second before casually shifting his gaze away.

“Let’s play cards,” Fu Xiaoyu suddenly said.

“Sure, let’s play cards,” Xu Jiale responded, momentarily forgetting his usual slyness, leaving only a sense of clumsiness behind.
