Evil Love Appears

Evil Love Appears chapter 107

Fu Xiaoyu could sense that Xu Jiale was sulking.

And it was in a very subtle and roundabout way.

For example, Xu Jiale didn’t actually respond to his report last night, but in the middle of the night, he sent a task schedule.

Of course, from Fu Xiaoyu’s perspective, the task schedule was quite amateurish and far inferior to the one Wang Xiaoshan, whom he had trained meticulously, would have made. However, he was satisfied with the progress and arrangements inside it, regardless.

Another example was that Xu Jiale’s messages seemed fewer.

Indeed, this alpha sent a greeting message early in the morning, but then he didn’t report his own schedule like he used to.

Fu Xiaoyu carefully examined the message.

Xu Jiale: If you’re not feeling well, let me know.

It seemed like the message implied:

“If you’re feeling well, you don’t need to send a message?”

Fu Xiaoyu squinted dangerously.

He really wasn’t feeling unwell and had slept quite well. He had just thought of some strange things when he woke up in the morning because he hadn’t taken his suppressants immediately. This made him even more frustrated with Xu Jiale.

He really wasn’t going to send any more messages.

The “read but not replied” feature on DingTalk indicated a clear tug-of-war, but…

It didn’t seem to last very long.

In the afternoon, just after Fu Xiaoyu finished approving the budgets for various departments for the next quarter, he stretched and looked out of his bedroom window.

While he had been busy working, it seemed like there had been a quiet rain outside. The tree branches and roads were wet, but the sun was still shining brightly.

Missed a rain shower.

Although it wasn’t a big deal, this thought suddenly crossed his mind.

Just then, DingTalk suddenly made a sound.

Even though DingTalk was the busiest app during the day, for some reason, this particular sound had a special quality.

Fu Xiaoyu glanced at his phone and saw that it was indeed from Xu Jiale:

Xu Jiale: [Image]

Another image.

Fu Xiaoyu nonchalantly opened it, and what Xu Jiale had sent was a…

He had to zoom in to see it clearly, but it was a faint rainbow hanging in the corner of the sky.

He missed the rain but not the rainbow.

Even if it was just a picture of a pale, blurry rainbow taken with a phone.

As Fu Xiaoyu was staring at the image in a daze, Xu Jiale probably noticed his status was “typing” and quickly sent two more messages.

Xu Jiale: Looks like you’re not feeling uncomfortable today?

Is there anything you’d like to eat? My food delivery service operates until midnight, rain or shine.

Xu Jiale even answered his own question before tossing him a lifeline.

Fu Xiaoyu thought for a moment and then couldn’t help but recline on the bed like a cat, burying himself completely in the soft blankets and curling his legs.

In his mind, he thought: Xu Jiale, can’t even withstand a single blow.

Fu Xiaoyu lay comfortably in bed, holding his phone above and typed his response: I don’t want to eat anything.

When he sent it, Xu Jiale’s side immediately displayed “typing…” He waited for five seconds, but it was still typing.

Fu Xiaoyu felt a bit smug, realizing that Xu Jiale was equally remarkable in his own way. Pursuing someone was really just a set of old-fashioned and clumsy techniques. It wasn’t fundamentally different from how he had approached it initially. If rejected, you’d still have to accept it.

But after feeling smug, Fu Xiaoyu suddenly began to feel curious.

Could it be that Xu Jiale had run out of tricks?

As he pondered this, Xu Jiale sent another image.

Fu Xiaoyu quickly opened it, and this time, it was a picture of a brightly colored floral shirt.

As he was bewildered, Xu Jiale’s next message arrived.

Xu Jiale: President Fu, your wardrobe seems to be outdated. But I’ve prepared something for you, absolutely the coolest gear for the beach. What do you say? Shall I bring it to you tonight?

Fu Xiaoyu looked at the picture of the floral shirt for a while. While he looked, a smile finally crept onto his lips.

Not bad, Xu Jiale was indeed slightly more sophisticated than him, just a bit.

“Sure.”

So, he replied with just that.

Xu Jiale came in his car again late at night.

Fu Xiaoyu was more skillful this time. He had put on a long coat over his pajamas. When he stood next to the Tesla, he intentionally didn’t get in but knocked on the car window with his knuckles, making his intentions clear:

Bring the things.

However, when Xu Jiale got out of the car, he wasn’t holding the clothing.

“I’ve packed a famous grass jelly and tofu pudding for you, waited in line for quite a while,” Xu Jiale removed the lid from the small paper bowl he was holding and handed it over. “Try it.”

When Fu Xiaoyu took it, he felt the warmth in his palm. The bowl of tofu pudding was still warm, and a sweet fragrance wafted from it.

He scooped up a spoonful, and the refreshing taste of grass jelly balanced the sweetness of the tofu pudding. It was quite delicious, and he couldn’t help but eat it bite by bite.

Omegas in heat indeed had difficulty resisting such soft, sticky food.

While he was eating, Xu Jiale stood beside him, watching as if watching him eat was something essential.

It wasn’t until Fu Xiaoyu had eaten more than half of it that he put the spoon down and softly said, “I’m full.”

“Hey,” Xu Jiale suddenly squinted his eyes and smiled slightly.

That smile was somewhat strange, and after Xu Jiale had smiled, he lowered his head and took out a wet wipe from the jacket pocket and handed it to Fu Xiaoyu. He said softly, “For your mouth.”

Fu Xiaoyu felt a little embarrassed at first, but it seemed that the more he felt this way, the more he needed to appear composed.

He took the wet wipe from Xu Jiale and carefully wiped the corners of his mouth.

As he was wiping his face, Xu Jiale had already taken the bowl of tofu pudding back. He didn’t use a spoon but simply tilted his head back and gulped down the remaining half bowl of tofu pudding.

The action was swift, which caught Fu Xiaoyu off guard.

Xu Jiale always had these moments, where he didn’t care about his image at all, yet somehow it gave off a strangely cool vibe.

“Come,” Xu Jiale said.

After finishing the tofu pudding, Xu Jiale threw the trash into the bin and then walked behind the Tesla to open the trunk.

Fu Xiaoyu looked dazed as he held the suitcase’s handle.

“What did you pack in there?”

“Just some things,” Xu Jiale shrugged as if it was nothing. “Well, some things and…”

Since Thailand also had Aedes mosquitoes, he had packed a special mosquito repellent. A set of travel-size pain relievers, stomach medication, adhesive bandages, and even a travel-sized set of Fu Xiaoyu’s favorite bath products. He even included dental floss and mouthwash in small packages.

Basically, even if Fu Xiaoyu took this suitcase to Thailand right now, he shouldn’t be lacking anything.

Fu Xiaoyu held the suitcase’s handle, feeling a little stunned.

Xu Jiale suddenly approached and asked, “You’re not feeling uncomfortable today, right?”

“Mm.”

“Xiaoyu, Jin Chu and Nanyi will also attend the wedding, and after the wedding, they will fly back to the United States directly.”

Xu Jiale instinctively wanted to reach for a cigarette in his pocket but then realized something and stopped.

“Hey,” Xu Jiale said in a low voice, “I’m sorry.”

Fu Xiaoyu looked at the alpha, who appeared somewhat lost. After a while, he asked in a calm voice, “Is it because Jin Chu and Nanyi are attending the wedding? When we arranged our trip, we had already broken up, so it’s not a problem for them to go. Besides, isn’t Nanyi the ring bearer?”

“Uh… yes. It’s because, damn.”

Xu Jiale nodded and then shook his head, taking a deep breath. “It’s because when I think of the wedding, I can’t help but think, ‘If I hadn’t done those stupid things before…’ You know, we’re both groomsmen.”

This statement was somewhat abrupt, but indeed, even Xu Jiale himself didn’t know how to express it. He sighed deeply.

Perhaps it was because he knew very well that Han Jiangque and Wen Ke were a perfect match, a sign of love’s arrival in the world.

And a wedding was the holiest occasion in love.

Xu Jiale felt distressed.

There were no regrets in life, but he couldn’t help but think—

When he and Fu Xiaoyu stand by Nanyi and Jin Chu during the wedding, at that moment—

God, he knew just how much he would want to hold Fu Xiaoyu’s hand.

Maybe it was because of the breakup and the thought of the wedding, Fu Xiaoyu’s gaze became somewhat complicated as well.

“Damn,” Xu Jiale looked at the lost expression in Fu Xiaoyu’s eyes. He ruffled his hair with his hand, said hurriedly, “Xiaoyu, I’m sorry. After the wedding, I’ll go back to deal with something and then head to the United States. Either way, I’ll make all the necessary preparations and talk to Nanyi.”

“…Okay,” Fu Xiaoyu said in a low voice.

He had seen the task schedule, so he knew Xu Jiale’s plans. Nevertheless, hearing the alpha express it made it sound almost a bit intense.

Xu Jiale continued, “If Jin Chu is willing to talk to Nanyi along with me, that would be best. If not, I will handle it myself and consult with professionals. A child might require long-term assistance and counseling after such trauma. But don’t worry, whether it’s now or in the future, when you’re with Nanyi, there’s no pressure. The child is mine; it’s my responsibility to take care of. I will never burden you.”

Fu Xiaoyu remained silent for a moment, perhaps because he detected a subtle hint of pain in Xu Jiale’s words and the determination that lay behind that pain.

This alpha had already prepared himself to deal with the injured Nanyi alone.

For a father, it probably wasn’t an easy decision to make.

Xu Jiale spoke hurriedly, maybe because this topic made him feel agitated, and he fell into a moment of silence before looking up. “Are you tired?”

“Go back and rest,” he continued. “I have some matters at home tomorrow, so I can’t come over.”

“Alright,” Fu Xiaoyu said softly.

“Xiaoyu, we’ll meet at the airport—”

As he opened the car door, Xu Jiale hesitated, looking back at Fu Xiaoyu with reluctance.

Fu Xiaoyu took a few steps while dragging the suitcase and suddenly turned back, saying lightly, “By the way, Xu Jiale, Wen Huaixuan will also be at the wedding.”

Xu Jiale momentarily forgot to get into the car. “Huh?”

“He’s also a major business partner for Lite. He helped arrange the hotel for Wen Ke’s wedding, so he’s gotten to know Wen Ke quite well.”

Fu Xiaoyu explained.

The fact that Wen Huaixuan was attending the wedding had been confirmed due to their business partnership. However, the proposal from Wen Huaixuan to Fu Xiaoyu previously was somewhat unexpected.

But fortunately, the alpha was naturally optimistic and generous. He had actually asked for Fu Xiaoyu’s opinion afterward, inquiring whether he wanted to change the plans. Fu Xiaoyu replied with a “no.” In fact, Xu Jiale didn’t even mention the attendance of Jin Chu and Nanyi at the wedding to Fu Xiaoyu. So, Fu Xiaoyu forgot to mention Wen Huaixuan’s presence.

“And he’s also my friend, so he’s accompanying me.”

“Moreover, I’m a bit worried about the situation,” Fu Xiaoyu said. “I hope he doesn’t mind if Jin Chu and Nanyi attend the wedding as well. But even if he does, it’s his problem.”

Xu Jiale smiled. “I think I understand. No matter what, I’ll be the one to resolve it. Don’t feel any pressure. I won’t let you bear any burden.”
