Blinded by Lust chapter 18

“What’s there to look at?”

“You’re good to look at.”

Wu Bie usually had a lot of confidence in his looks, but now he was suddenly shy. He had the illusion that he was being teased by Zhanyan.

He suddenly burst out laughing. He leaned against the railing, switched the camera back to the front, and appeared on the screen.

“You girls are the ones who are pretty. Guys like me are handsome.”

“Hmm, Ge, you’re really handsome.” When it comes to complimenting Wu Bie, Zhanyan was even more shameless than Wu Bie himself and could manage to say it out loud.

Wu Bie’s smile was nearly breaking, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Hiss, why don’t you ever refute that?”

“But I really think you’re handsome,” Huo Zhanyan innocently blinked his eyes. He didn’t have strong feelings about his own appearance, and he preferred Wu Bie’s wild charm. “You’re handsome, have a good figure, and long legs.”

Wu Bie’s lips curled into a smile, “Are you just trying to make me happy?”

“I’m speaking from the heart.” Zhanyan moved a little in front of the camera, even trying to sit up to prove her sincerity, “I really love watching your diving and swimming videos, I’ve watched them many times.”

Listening to Zhanyan’s admiration, Wu Bie’s masculine pride was greatly satisfied, and he felt like he was floating.

“Wu Bie.”

Hearing Zhanyan call his name, Wu Bie’s heart would drop suddenly, the feeling of weightlessness made his heart race.

“Hmm?” he didn’t realize that his response to Zhanyan was trembling.

“Do you still see me as a child?”

Wu Bie touched the person on the screen, at that moment, he desperately wished Zhanyan was right beside him, “What do you think?”

“I don’t know.” Huo Zhanyan honestly said, even though he and Wu Bie were very close, they hadn’t progressed further, perhaps because of the age difference, Wu Bie was very restrained.

The age issue was just Wu Bie’s excuse, his layers of defense had long crumbled under Zhanyan’s direct and bold confessions.

“If I still see you as a child, why would I call you every day, stay up late at night, and go to so much trouble just to make a child happy?” Wu Bie’s voice was deep, rarely serious, and a bit earnest, “I just… I don’t want you to regret it.”

Actually, Wu Bie didn’t want to leave all the choices to Zhanyan, making Zhanyan decide everything, leaving himself out, and making Zhanyan bear all the consequences in the future.

He leaned back, resting his elbows on the railing, looking at Zhanyan seriously, “I’ve told you that after this return voyage, I won’t be going out with the ship anymore, I’ll be staying at home. You still have time to think, give me your answer when we meet.”

In the video, Zhanyan’s cheeks twitched, looking as if she wanted to say something but hesitated. Wu Bie purposely paused but didn’t wait for Zhanyan to speak.

“Or maybe you only want to keep in touch with me online and don’t want to meet in person.”

“No!” Huo Zhanyan quickly denied it, how could he not want to meet Wu Bie, he just…

Wu Bie understood. Zhanyan was in the hospital, young girls love beauty, and she surely didn’t want to look too messy when they met.

“Zhanyan, don’t be too pessimistic about your leg problem. I don’t believe that current medicine can’t help you stand up. If you still can’t walk when I come back, I’ll accompany you for rehabilitation.”

Not being able to stand up was just one aspect…

Zhanyan moved her lips, lifting her gaze with burning eyes, looking at Wu Bie, “Wu Bie, what if…  I’m not as good as you imagine, what if I’m different from what you think, what if I’m lying to you? Would you be angry with me?”

“What would you be lying about? That you don’t like me? Is that it?”

Zhanyan shook her head desperately, “Of course not!”

Wu Bie tried hard to suppress his smile, taking out a cigarette, lighting it up, and taking a puff before slowly exhaling the smoke. He remembered a famous person saying that only a real man can forgive a woman’s lies.

“You already like me, I’m willingly deceived by you.”

Huo Zhanyan stared in astonishment at Wu Bie’s eyes, Wu Bie was smiling, and the sight of his smile made his heart skip a beat.

“Don’t tell me you’re moved to tears. If you start crying now, I won’t be able to comfort you.”

Huo Zhanyan smiled with pursed lips. He was more than just touched; he wished… Wu Bie, you’re so wonderful, how could I ever let you go?

Huo Zhanyan was clear about the consequences of his actions, he just wanted to continue indulging in the dream Wu Bie had woven for him.

“Hey!” The light gradually brightened behind him, Wu Bie turned around, his voice full of excitement, he excitedly pointed at the distant sky, “Zhanyan, the sun is coming up!”

At the horizon, a faint yellow light ripped through the darkness covering the sea. The sunrise over the sea was indeed magnificent, but Wu Bie had long gotten tired of it. What he enjoyed were the moments he spent with Zhanyan.

The sunrise was fleeting, Wu Bie had stayed up all night, and Zhanyan urged him to rest, “Ge, if you don’t have anything today, go to sleep quickly.”

As soon as sleep was mentioned, Wu Bie yawned instinctively. After hanging up the phone, he quickly went back to his cabin, took a quick shower, and comfortably lay down on the bed. Feeling a bit more refreshed, he sent another message to Zhanyan.

“Lying down.”

Unexpectedly, Zhanyan’s voice call request popped up. It was like a sticky rice cake, just after ending the video call, the phone call came again.

Wu Bie feigned impatience. “Wasn’t I supposed to sleep?”

“Sleep. I’ll hang up once you’re asleep.”

Damn, he had never enjoyed such clingy treatment before, Wu Bie felt ecstatic inside but still pretended not to admit it, “Why are you so clingy?”

“But I’m just this clingy. I want to see your face, hear your voice.”

The surroundings were quiet, and turning over made the rustling sound of clothes and bed sheets. The intimacy was like a cozy blanket, and Zhanyan’s teasing made Wu Bie a bit restless.

“Zhanyan!” Wu Bie felt the name was so sweet. He wanted to intimidate Zhanyan but couldn’t help his own feelings. “Are you doing this on purpose? Do you think just because we’re far apart, you can dare to talk back? Wait until I get back, you better not deny it. By then, I don’t care if you have three heads and six arms or can’t even stand up, when I want to date you, don’t say I’m bullying you.”

Zhanyan was quick to go along with it. She followed Wu Bie’s lead, “Then don’t bully me. I’m younger than you, so take it easy on me.”

“Haven’t I been easy on you enough? I don’t even have this much patience with myself.”

Zhanyan’s boldness was outrageous, “What about others?”

Wu Bie liked women and wanted to date after being single for too long, but he wasn’t someone who would just accept anyone.

He pulled the thin blanket over his head and said the most passive things in the harshest tone, “Where would there be others? You’re always calling me ‘Ge’ this, ‘Ge’ that. Where am I supposed to find so many little sisters?”

“I never said ‘Ge’ in that way.”

Wu Bie opened his mouth, but it took him a long time to make a sound. Zhanyan’s voice was sexy and mature, and hearing those words from her lips was incredibly enticing.

“I wasn’t flirting with you, and you still dare to tease me?” Wu Bie cautiously asked, afraid that if he misspoke, he’d scare her off. He didn’t want to embarrass Zhanyan with inappropriate words. But Zhanyan, instead, played along. “Who taught you that?”

The feeling was subtle—Zhanyan, a 19-year-old innocent girl, wasn’t completely naive. She knew just enough to tug at Wu Bie’s heartstrings.

The soft and intellectual laugh of the young girl lingered in Wu Bie’s ears, making his ears burn. How could he be so passive, so weak?

He said fiercely, “When we meet, don’t back out.”

Huo Zhanyan noticed that it was getting late. He was worried that Wu Bie wouldn’t get enough rest, and there might be things to handle on the ship later.

“Well, I won’t say more. Sleep well Ge. I’ll hang up after you fall asleep.”

Listening to Zhanyan’s faint breathing, as if she were lying right beside him, Wu Bie stretched out his arm but found nothing. His heart felt empty.

The phone gradually quieted down. Wu Bie’s breathing grew heavier, and Zhanyan called softly, “Ge? Wu Bie…”

Perhaps hearing his name in a dream, Wu Bie mumbled. Huo Zhanyan’s heart itched, and with daring, he turned off the voice changer.

“Wu Bie.”

Wu Bie slept deeply, and even the occasional sound he made felt like a gift to Huo Zhanyan, who savored it. Overwhelmed, he curled under his blanket.

After a long time, Huo Zhanyan, gasping for air, threw off the blanket, breathing heavily as he relished the indescribable pleasure that made him tremble all over.

“Wu Bie.” Huo Zhanyan’s voice was hoarse. He heard Wu Bie’s grumbling sounds in deep sleep and felt it wasn’t enough. He wanted to embrace Wu Bie.

The sunlight outside was just right, dazzling. Huo Zhanyan looked at it for a while, his eyes sore. He looked down at his palm, which was damp.

Wu Bie didn’t know that he was the one who was lewd. No one would be content with just an online relationship. He wanted to meet Wu Bie, to touch the real Wu Bie, to be with him in bed.

These thoughts, he didn’t dare to tell Wu Bie. He was afraid of scaring his Wu Bie away.

Huo Zhanyan wiped his hand and threw the tissue into the trash can. He needed to recover quickly, at least be able to withstand a beating and keep up when Wu Bie wanted to run.

….

Wu Bie had a dream where he seemed to be floating on water, rising and falling. His ears were filled with Zhanyan’s voice, but sometimes the voice sounded strange, like a man. Yet, in the dream, the person’s face was exactly like Zhanyan’s. He didn’t care about much else; his soul had already been hooked by Zhanyan.

When Wu Bie woke up, the first thing he did was check his phone. Seeing that the call had long since ended, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief and quietly tidied up his sheets.

He cursed himself inwardly, thinking, How could I be so perverted? Thankfully, it was just a dream; otherwise, who knows what Zhanyan would think of him. Worse than an animal!

But that dream… Why was it just a dream? Wu Bie felt a tinge of regret. He secretly reminisced, his facial expression out of control, with a smile he couldn’t suppress.

Disgusting! Disgusting!
