Hearing You Say Love

Hearing You Say Love chapter 35

He Might Be Trying to Pursue You

The next day was Wednesday. Fortunately, Chen Muchao helped him with the background and coloring, allowing him to update Chapter 21 of “The Rabbit Conspiracy, Wolf Trail” on time in the early hours of Thursday.

In this chapter, Zou Beiyuan read it in the Box Wave lounge.

That night, there was a boxing match at the bar, and he was temporarily acting as a referee. After the match, there was also  a night event with many friends attending, so he couldn’t leave early.

But he remembered Su Ming’s update time and made an excuse that he had drunk too much, going upstairs alone.

The rabbit and the wolf stumbled their way to the edge of the herbivore kingdom, where they would spend their last night.

The next day, Wolf Jue would return to the Wolf Clan’s royal court, and the rabbit would have to say goodbye to him.

The bright moonlight spilled over the grass like mercury, with a thin layer of mist rising from the water in the distance. Fireflies danced around them, and everything looked as beautiful as a dream wrapped in light gauze.

The wolf sat down on the grass. This difficult journey had matured him significantly; his body had grown taller and more muscular. Just sitting there, he gave off a strong sense of oppression that even tigers and lions would fear.

But the rabbit wasn’t afraid of him. Sitting face-to-face in his arms, the rabbit wrapped his arms around the wolf’s neck and said playfully, “I’m leaving at dawn tomorrow. Can you tell me some more of your stories? I want to take them with me on my journey.”

“You should come back with me,” Wolf Jue said. “I’m the son of the wolf king, and I can protect you.”

The rabbit stroked his ear. “But you’re not the only prince. You have three older brothers; if they want to eat me, can you really protect me?”

“I can,” Wolf Jue said, already determined. “I will give my life to protect you.”

“I don’t want you to give your life,” the rabbit said, looking into Wolf Jue’s eyes seriously. “I want you to become the wolf king.”

Wolf Jue was taken aback; this silly rabbit seemed a bit different today from usual.

The rabbit’s eyes were round and beautiful like stars in the sky. Wolf Jue felt a strong impulse to kiss the rabbit, but as he opened his mouth, his sharp fangs were revealed.

The rabbit stuck out his tongue and licked the fangs, the soft pink flesh gently rubbing against the tips of his teeth.

The carnivore’s instinct made the little wolf want to bite, to swallow the delicious treat in front of him.

He fought against his instincts, trembling all over, a steady stream of saliva dripping from his mouth, wetting the rabbit’s white fur.

The rabbit licked the wolf’s teeth and tongue, reaching down to hold his member, skillfully stroking. The wolf was already rock hard, and the rabbit slowly sat down in that position.

On the prairie, the night was vast and silent.

Under the countless stars, they spent the entire night together.

This was the first time the rabbit truly felt something for Wolf Jue, and thus the scene they created took up a significant portion of the chapter.

Shu Yu Ming Jin depicted the details of their intimacy very vividly.

It was very erotic, yet very beautiful.

Clearly just two animals, but Zou Beiyuan felt his breath quicken as he read.

He rewarded Shu Yu Ming Jin with a hundred fruit baskets, then pressed the screen off and threw his phone onto the coffee table, leaning back against the sofa, waiting for his racing heart to slowly calm down.

How could Su Ming be so good at this?

Zou Beiyuan thought, where did he learn all this stuff?

After a while, Zou Beiyuan picked up his phone, intending to ask Su Ming what he was doing, but then realized it was late, and Su Ming might have already gone to sleep.

They hadn’t been in contact all day, and their chat record was still stuck at the “Goodnight” he sent yesterday.

Chen Muchao said that the reason Su Ming was in a bad mood might be because he hadn’t shared secrets with him. Now that he had shared his secret with Su Ming, even if it wasn’t very specific, it counted, right?

He hoped Su Ming wouldn’t be mad at him anymore.

He sent a WeChat message: “[Are you asleep?]”

When Su Ming received the message, he was taking a screenshot to show Chen Muchao, saying that the wealthy sponsor had thrown him a bunch of fruit baskets again. What kind of crazy person would spend so much money on comics?

Chen Muchao joked that the sponsor might not be interested in the comic; he might be interested in him.

Su Ming swore that he had absolutely not exposed himself in the three-dimensional world. Aside from Chen Muchao and his editor, no one else in the world would know that Shu Yu Ming Jin was him.

After saying goodnight to Chen Muchao, Su Ming leaned against the headboard to adjust into a comfortable position and opened Zou Beiyuan’s message.

Su Ming: “[Not asleep yet.]”

Zou Beiyuan: “[Insomnia again? Didn’t bring melatonin?]”

Su Ming: “[Yeah, I forgot to bring it.]”

Zou Beiyuan: “[When you come back I’ll run with you; don’t rely on medication anymore.]”

Su Ming: “[Okay.]”

The atmosphere turned subtly ambiguous.

Su Ming told Zou Beiyuan: “[I’m coming back tomorrow; that oil painting should be delivered to you by then.]”

The day after tomorrow was Zou Beiyuan’s birthday, so the timing was just right.

Zou Beiyuan thanked him and said: “[I’ll pick you up at the airport tomorrow.]”

Su Ming: “[They have a car to pick me up.]”

Zou Beiyuan insisted: “[I’ll pick you up.]”

Su Ming: “[Really no need. The time I arrive is just in the middle of rush hour; going back and forth to the airport will be too congested.]”

Zou Beiyuan: “[It’s precisely because of the traffic that I want to pick you up. Their cars are dropping one by one, which will take a lot of time. If I pick you up, you can get home and rest earlier.]”

Su Ming sent an “[Okay.]” back, feeling a bit flustered.

This big guy, though he sometimes spoke and acted very forcefully, always had unexpected attentiveness when it came to taking care of him.

Su Ming had never been cared for like this before, to the extent that he didn’t even value his own comfort that much

Although he would definitely be the last one dropped off, he hadn’t even considered how long the car ride would take.

When he was in elementary school at the school for the deaf and mute, he walked home for half an hour every day after class.

Once, he saw Su Mo sitting on the back of his dad’s bicycle; he noticed Su Mo’s mouth forming the words “Ge,” but his dad didn’t stop.

So Su Ming had long since stopped expecting care from others.

But fate had led him to meet Zou Beiyuan in this year, when he turned twenty-eight.

Zou Beiyuan: “[But I have plans tomorrow night, so I can’t have dinner with you.]”

Su Ming instinctively wanted to ask what the plans were, but then thought that their relationship hadn’t reached the point where they could care about each other’s private matters, so he replied: “[Okay.]”

Zou Beiyuan: [Xu Jiadi and the others are clamoring to go out to have fun the day after tomorrow. Is there anything you want to do?]

Su Ming: [Your birthday party?]

Zou Beiyuan: [Yeah, the location hasn’t been decided yet; you can choose.]

Su Ming: [Are there any options?]

Zou Beiyuan said that Xu Jiadi and the others suggested going to a nightclub, singing karaoke, a hot spring hotel, or camping. Karaoke was clearly going to be boring for Su Ming, so Zou Beiyuan didn’t consider that option. The remaining choices were left for Su Ming to decide.

Su Ming thought for a moment.

Nightclubs weren’t very interesting; Zou Beiyuan had his own bar, and hanging out in a different place would just be more drinking and dancing, which would be the same chaos.

They had already been camping together, and tents weren’t soundproof. It was also likely that several people would have to squeeze into one tent, which wasn’t conducive for Su Ming to act freely.

The hot spring hotel was the best option because after soaking in the hot springs, they would definitely need to stay at the hotel for a night, providing him with a chance to find an excuse to share a room with Zou Beiyuan.

Feeling eager, Su Ming replied: [Let’s go to the hot spring hotel.]

Zou Beiyuan: [Alright, I’ll invite Chao Ge and his girlfriend too.]

Su Ming: [Okay.]

…..

The hot spring they chose was located in the western suburbs of Rong City, nearly a hundred kilometers away by car, close to a famous Taoist mountain.

On Zou Beiyuan’s birthday day, they arrived around four in the afternoon. Zou Beiyuan first went to the front desk to confirm the reserved rooms. While checking in, Xu Jiadi quickly grabbed a room card for a standard room, saying he wanted to share a room with Zou Beiyuan.

Zou Beiyuan said nothing and waited for everyone to finish checking in, leaving the last king-sized room for Su Ming.

Xu Jiadi watched nervously from the side; when he saw how naturally the two interacted without any reaction to the room distribution, he gradually felt relieved.

Ever since that time he went with Zou Beiyuan to confront Zhao Shengpei, he felt something was off. In hindsight, it felt more like he had accompanied his best friend to beat up a love rival.

Xu Jiadi had known Zou Beiyuan for over ten years, and he could guarantee with his life that Zou Beiyuan was definitely a straight man.

In the past, when pursued by those pretty boys, Zou Beiyuan was always extremely annoyed. How could he, after only a little over a month of knowing Su Ming, start to show signs of turning?

This was seriously bad!

He couldn’t just sit back and watch his bro turn gay. He, Jiang Zufan and Yu Dian discussed it and unanimously agreed that Zou Beiyuan probably hadn’t realized what was happening yet. They needed to stop him from bending any further before he became aware of it.

After dropping off their luggage, they went to the hotel’s order-based buffet restaurant to have Japanese food.

Just as they sat down, Jiang Zufan answered a phone call, saying he was going to the entrance to pick someone up.

Zou Beiyuan asked who it was, and Xu Jiadi teased that it was someone Zou Beiyuan wanted to see. The others started to tease that it was a surprise for him.

Su Ming sensitively picked up on the ambiguous tone of their words and exchanged glances with Chen Muchao.

They were sitting at a long table that could accommodate five people on each side.

Xu Jiadi sat across from Zou Beiyuan, to Zou Beiyuan’s right was Su Ming, and to Su Ming’s right were Chen Muchao and his girlfriend Ling Shanshan.

When Jiang Zufan brought the person back, Zou Beiyuan happened to get up to go to the bathroom, so Xu Jiadi arranged for the girl to sit next to Su Ming.

The girl was very beautiful, with a sun-kissed complexion similar to Zou Beiyuan’s, tall, with big eyes and long, thick, wavy gray-brown hair. She wore a tight black spaghetti strap dress that accentuated her curvy figure.

It seemed that Zou Beiyuan’s friends were all familiar with this girl; they called her Jiang Mengyu.

From their conversation, it seemed that Jiang Mengyu had been quite close to Zou Beiyuan. While Zou Beiyuan was in America, Jiang Mengyu would occasionally meet up with him.

Su Ming remembered that Chen Muchao had previously mentioned that Zou Beiyuan had a childhood sweetheart he liked. At that time, he had asked Zou Beiyuan if he liked anyone, and Zou Beiyuan had said no.

He also recalled boasting to Chen Muchao that a childhood friend couldn’t compete with fate between him and Zou Beiyuan.

Feeling a bit sour, Su Ming used sign language to tell Chen Muchao: Little Wolf’s childhood sweetheart is so pretty.

Ling Shanshan could also understand sign language, and Chen Muchao immediately signed with strong survival instincts: My girlfriend is prettier.

Su Ming: …

Not long after, Zou Beiyuan returned and was pleasantly surprised to see Jiang Mengyu, laughing he asked, “When did you come back? Why didn’t you say anything?”

Jiang Mengyu also laughed brightly: “Your friends asked me to keep it a secret to surprise you. Are you surprised?”

Zou Beiyuan nodded in agreement, saying yes. He walked back to his seat and reached out to pat her shoulder, but noticing her revealing outfit, he felt awkward and gestured for her to get up, “Let me sit over there.”

Jiang Mengyu stood up for him, “Did you finally remember to take care of my left-handedness this time? It’s been two months since we last saw each other, and you’ve become so thoughtful?”

“Not really,” Zou Beiyuan said, sitting next to Su Ming with his gaze fixed straight on him, “I just wanted to sit next to my Ming Ge.”

Author’s note:

Xu Jiadi, you can’t stop a bro from turning.
