Evil Love Appears chapter 131

Extra Chapter 1: Mr. Fu Seems Unhappy Today

Fu Xiaoyu seemed a bit unhappy that day, which made the “Workers Have No Love” group a bit uneasy for a moment.

You see, it was a Friday, the day of the weekly meeting.

Seeing Fu Xiaoyu with a grim face on a Friday was not a good sign.

“Xiaoshan, what’s wrong with Mr. Fu today?” Hu Xia found an opportunity to sneak into the secretary’s office and talk to Wang Xiaoshan.

Wang Xiaoshan had just been promoted, and he was feeling a bit overwhelmed with various tasks. After a moment of contemplation, he furrowed his brows and said, “Could it be that I made Mr. Fu angry with the new intern I just hired?”

As he thought about it, he felt a sense of urgency and hurriedly walked out with Hu Xia. They happened to see the new Omega intern handing a coffee to Fu Xiaoyu.

Oh no!

Wang Xiaoshan’s face turned green.

He had forgotten to inform the new intern that Fu Xiaoyu doesn’t drink coffee with sugar and milk. But it was too late now.

“Thank you.”

Standing in front of the meeting room, Fu Xiaoyu took the coffee and had a sip before raising his head. He slightly frowned and looked at Wang Xiaoshan.

“Oh…” Wang Xiaoshan involuntarily took a cold breath inwardly.

It was over; he had made the same mistake again. In front of Mr. Fu, that was an unforgivable offense on top of a crime.

In any case, it meant he was in trouble.

“What’s wrong?” Before Wang Xiaoshan could answer, Fu Xiaoyu continued in a displeased tone, “Why are you just standing there? What’s the matter?”

“I…” Wang Xiaoshan just lifted his head, then realized something was wrong. He discreetly exhaled the breath he had been holding and quickly improvised, “Mr. Fu, I’ve already taken care of the documents you mentioned yesterday. I was thinking about showing them to you.”

He spoke while subtly observing Fu Xiaoyu, who had taken another sip of the coffee. It seemed like he didn’t notice the mistake?

This was indeed strange.

Fu Xiaoyu had always been sensitive to temperature, disliking hot beverages, and had a keen sense of taste, promptly detecting any unusual flavors. But today…

“Just send them out after checking. There’s no need to come to me for every little thing now. You can make decisions on your own,” the tall Omega, who was impeccably dressed as usual, told Wang Xiaoshan while signing a stack of documents brought by the new intern assistant.

Everyone could tell that Fu Xiaoyu was genuinely displeased today. However, Wang Xiaoshan noticed something else: apart from being unhappy, Mr. Fu seemed a bit absent-minded.

This was indeed unusual.

In the morning at 10 o’clock, the spacious meeting room quickly filled up with staff members from the Love app departments.

Once the real work began, Fu Xiaoyu quickly entered a state of intense concentration. Since the first day he took charge of the entire project, he had high expectations for how reports should be delivered and work should be conducted.

These people were all elite members of his team, which meant that every minute was exceptionally valuable. Fu Xiaoyu was not the kind of boss who wasted time on trivial matters. He treasured his time and, unusually, valued his subordinates’ time. Therefore, when he presented data or department analyses, discussed next week’s work plan, and more, he was clear and precise, with no room for unnecessary words or wasted minutes.

The weekly meeting proceeded in the usual orderly manner until there was a minor hiccup during Hu Xia’s report. The laptop used for projecting the PPT suddenly ran out of battery.

“Uh…” Hu Xia, who was in the middle of his presentation, stopped awkwardly.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Fu, I forgot to charge it in advance,” the intern responsible for the projection apologized, standing up and leaning over to go out to find a power cord. “I’ll go get the power cord from outside.”

“…No need.” Fu Xiaoyu raised his head and glanced at the intern. After a moment’s pause, he opened the laptop in front of him and passed it to Hu Xia. “Continue with mine.”

Apart from the still naive intern, anyone who had worked with Fu Xiaoyu could sense that momentary pause between taking a deep breath and speaking. While it appeared calm on the surface, it was genuinely dangerous.

No one knew the reason behind Fu Xiaoyu’s restrained displeasure, and no one knew whether it was happiness or worry.

In any case, the meeting proceeded as usual until it reached its conclusion. The prepared report PPT had been moved to the last page, and Fu Xiaoyu began discussing distribution-related issues with Li Jingjing and Xiao Yuan.

During this discussion, which lasted over ten minutes, the atmosphere remained warm. However, the large projection screen suddenly switched to the computer’s screensaver because of a prolonged lack of interaction.

On the huge screen, a picture was displayed – a photo of Xu Jiale and Fu Xiaoyu. In the photo, Xu Jiale wasn’t wearing his glasses; he was facing the camera while raising a beer glass, with a nearly eyeless smile. Fu Xiaoyu, somewhat drunk as well, had a soft blush on his face. He was leaning against Xu Jiale’s neck, reaching over to peck the white foam at the corner of Xu Jiale’s lips.

The meeting room fell into an eerie silence.

The screensaver version of Mr. Fu overlapped with the real Mr. Fu, who was wearing a sharp suit in front of the screen. It was an incredibly bizarre sight.

The intern was utterly bewildered.

For a moment, nobody seemed to do anything, and they allowed the photo to be projected on the big screen, until Wang Xiaoshan sitting next to the intern slammed the laptop shut with a loud “clap.”

“Ah!” The intern finally reacted, exclaiming loudly before quickly closing his mouth.

As for Fu Xiaoyu’s expression…

It could only be described as completely expressionless.

This was somewhat of a moment that sent shivers down everyone’s spine, and they couldn’t decide whether to defuse the situation or just keep quiet, a choice with no clear pros or cons.

“Give me the computer.”

Ultimately, it was the expressionless Mr. Fu who spoke first.

He took the computer back from the terrified intern and said slowly and sternly, “When it comes to meetings involving the entire department, every minute we waste delays everyone’s time. So, preparation work should be done in advance. Computers and files should all be checked before the meeting. This is your responsibility. Do you understand?”

Although he spoke quickly and appeared somewhat severe due to his fast pace, and his face was clouded with a semblance of thunder, he didn’t actually lose his temper.

The intern quickly nodded and said, “I understand, Mr. Fu.”

Finally, Fu Xiaoyu scanned the entire meeting room.

His tall figure held a pen in hand, sitting upright without moving.

Although he didn’t mention the screensaver incident, just his presence and the look he gave as he sat there had a profound intimidating undertone.

“Let’s adjourn the meeting.”

He finally said.

After everyone had left the meeting room, Fu Xiaoyu finally tossed the pen aside and leaned back in his chair, tilting his head back.

Although the meeting room was now completely empty except for him, he pretended to be nonchalant and started by looking at the lights on the ceiling for a while before opening his computer. He gazed at that intimate screensaver once again.

He squinted his eyes, casually picked up the coffee cup beside him and took a sip. But immediately, he frowned deeply.

It was too sweet.

So sweet that he forcefully placed the coffee cup back on the table.

Fu Xiaoyu stood up from his seat, feeling the discomfort between his waist and thighs resurfacing. He also felt a slight blush on his face.

Perhaps it was because of the excessive sweetness, or perhaps for other reasons, but in any case, everything that had frustrated him since the morning was now fully ignited.

Damn, nothing was going right.

The forgetful intern, the annoying screensaver, and the cursed sweet coffee. And then there was Xu Jiale, that darn fox.

With every step he took and every time he felt that slight discomfort in his butt (which he couldn’t even describe as pain), he couldn’t help but curse Xu Jiale.

It wasn’t until noon that the receptionist called him and said that Mr. Xu was there to pick him up.

“Where is he?”

After cursing Xu Jiale under his breath moments ago, Fu Xiaoyu raised his head quickly and asked.

That day Fu Xiaoyu was going to leave work early because he and Xu Jiale had plans to have dinner together at the Fu family in the afternoon. It turned out that Xu Jiale was earlier than he had expected.

“He’s waiting for you in the elevator lobby.”

Fu Xiaoyu grabbed his coat and immediately headed outside.

“Hi.”

Xu Jiale was chewing gum, and there was a slight bruise near his eye, which they got from playing around at the boxing gym yesterday.

As soon as Xu Jiale saw him, he greeted him with a smiling face.

But Fu Xiaoyu found the smile somewhat annoying and refused to say hi. He just walked into the elevator with Xu Jiale, without a word.

Starting from this morning, he had been giving Xu Jiale the cold shoulder.

In the enclosed descending elevator, he remained silent. Xu Jiale was also chewing gum and didn’t say a word, still having that trace of a smile on his face.

Fu Xiaoyu’s expression grew a little darker.

All of this stemmed from last night.

Okay, to put it plainly:

Last night, Xu Jiale had sex with him so aggressively that it got him flustered.

Although it was initially his idea, he had his reasons. Xu Jiale had just returned from two weeks in the United States, and Fu Xiaoyu had been feeling pent up.

But regardless, he wouldn’t let Xu Jiale make him cry and continue to be so… active.

So, starting this morning, he was giving Xu Jiale the silent treatment.

But calling it a “silent treatment” was actually a bit of a one-sided initiative on his part, and then…

For a moment, it was a bit hard to break free, and it was temporarily hard to end it…

A lovers’ quarrel.

As the elevator doors opened with a “ding,” Fu Xiaoyu took a step forward, paused, and suddenly made a soft “hm” sound, deliberately hesitating as if he wasn’t used to walking.

In reality, he was just acting

Fu Xiaoyu was rather embarrassed to admit this, but he wanted to clarify that his “hm” was by no means a soft and drawn-out whine meant to beg for mercy.

It was just a very light and brief “hm.”

The implication was, “You should know that my butt is still a little sore right now.”

Xu Jiale, however, just looked at him, a hint of a smile in his eyes, without saying anything.

Even though they had already reached the B1 parking lot, Fu Xiaoyu felt like he hadn’t descended at all.

On the contrary, he once again felt like a cat stuck high in a tree, in need of rescue.

But this time, it seemed that he wasn’t that easy to come down. He wanted Xu Jiale to carry him to the car.
