Evil Love Appears

Evil Love Appears chapter 82

In the days after Nanyi’s return, Xu Jiale would drive to pick up Nanyi early every morning. They would have breakfast together, and then they would explore various places in B City and its surroundings, continuing their adventures until evening.

Jin Chu didn’t come around much during this time, and when he did, he would only stay for a couple of hours before going back to rest. He explained that he was tired because he couldn’t bring their nanny when returning from abroad.

Indeed, ever since Nanyi was born, Jin Chu hadn’t been alone with the child much. Even when Xu Jiale was away, there was always a nanny taking care of Nanyi.

Xu Jiale could understand that a seven-year-old boy could be quite demanding. Even he had been kept very busy these days.

He organized exciting schedules, taking them from the zoo to a go-kart track, and even strawberry picking in the countryside, along with visiting a kennel run by their family. All these activities were things that a young boy would enjoy.

The kennel had a new litter of Shiba Inu puppies, which made Nanyi extremely happy. He was a naturally gentle child and didn’t behave recklessly around the puppies; instead, he crouched down gently, stroking them one by one.

“Daddy, can I have a dog?” he asked, raising his head in the middle of petting a puppy.

“Uh… that depends on Aiden’s thoughts, right?” Xu Jiale squatted down beside him, watching Nanyi’s somewhat disappointed expression. He sighed, “Sweetie, having a dog isn’t easy. If you want to have a dog, you’ll need to feed it, take it for walks, and love it properly. It will be your responsibility.”

Xu Jiale spoke slowly and even switched to English when he said “responsibility.” He then patted Nanyi’s head and said in a low voice, “If you’ve thought it through carefully, you tell Aiden: you will love the dog and take responsibility for it. Daddy believes that Aiden will understand.”

Nanyi vigorously nodded, and his joy returned. When he smiled, his two missing front teeth gave him an incredibly cute appearance.

Holding Nanyi’s tiny hand, Xu Jiale walked into the sunset, and at one point, Nanyi suddenly stopped. He covered his mouth, and after a moment, he spat something out.

“Daddy! Look!” He opened his palm, revealing a small white baby tooth. It was clear that it had just fallen out.

Nanyi giggled, but with his two front teeth missing, he looked even more adorable, making Xu Jiale laugh as well.

Xu Jiale held the little guy in his arms and said, “You’re growing up, sweetheart.”

He kissed Nanyi’s ear, and even in his happiness, an indescribable sense of melancholy welled up within him. It was a feeling that only a father could truly understand. He wanted to witness every baby tooth’s fall and couldn’t bear the thought of missing those moments during the days he was away.

“Daddy, I love you,” Nanyi said softly, clinging to Xu Jiale’s neck. “I miss you, Daddy. Why haven’t you been home for so long? Aiden misses you too. Why aren’t you two playing with me like before?”

Xu Jiale held the little one’s soft body tightly. “Nanyi, Daddy and Aiden…”

In that moment, he truly felt that he was about to blurt out everything.

“Daddy?”

Xu Jiale looked at the puzzled and bewildered expression on his child’s rosy cheeks and in his beautiful eyes. He suddenly felt that he couldn’t do it alone. He couldn’t manage this.

At dinner, Jin Chu ate with them. He looked much better than he had during the day, possibly because he’d had a good rest. He sat next to Nanyi and patiently cooked food for the child.

With his two front teeth missing, they had to cook the vegetables soft, and Nanyi couldn’t eat the beef. He ended up eating a lot of fish slices.

Xu Jiale and Jin Chu didn’t speak much to each other but spoke to Nanyi as usual.

Nanyi finished eating first and ran eagerly to the children’s playroom with a trampoline. Jin Chu then began preparing food for himself.

Xu Jiale remained silent, staring out at the children’s playroom. After drinking a couple of beers, he suddenly said, “Jin Chu, I think we should find a time to talk to Nanyi about the divorce.”

Jin Chu didn’t answer immediately. He finished eating his beef slowly, set his chopsticks down, and looked at Xu Jiale. “You want to talk to him about it now?”

Undoubtedly, Jin Chu had lost a lot of weight. His Bvlgari Serpenti bracelet was quite loose on his wrist. “I hope we can tell him together, Jin Chu. I want us to tell him firmly and confidently that we have separated, but we will both continue to love him just like before.”

Xu Jiale spoke slowly, carefully choosing each word. His tone was filled with restrained hope.

“I can’t do it,” Jin Chu said, shaking slightly. “I can’t tell him, especially not in the way you mentioned, confidently and firmly. Xu Jiale, I just can’t do it. I can’t handle it, and I get too emotional just thinking about it.”

He seemed unable to bear the weight of such a serious discussion, and he felt fragile, like he could crumble under even the slightest pressure. His fingers and shoulders shook slightly with pain.

Xu Jiale listened silently, feeling a stone sinking in his chest. This was the only time he had directly asked Jin Chu for support. It wasn’t just about himself; it was about their child’s well-being and happiness.

At that moment, he needed the support of another adult, but he couldn’t get it from Jin Chu.

This delicate and pale Omega was like a glass flower that could shatter with the slightest pressure.

This thought left Xu Jiale feeling helpless and desperate, with no way forward.

After dinner, Xu Jiale called the family driver, Uncle Yu, to pick up Nanyi and Jin Chu from the villa, and then he took a taxi back home.

When Xu Jiale arrived home, a brand-new black Bentley was already parked in the driveway. He hurriedly took the keys and documents from the car dealership agent who had been waiting for him for a while.

After returning home, Xu Jiale directly opened a bottle of whiskey, added ice, and downed four or five glasses.

As he drank and smoked, he stood by the window with the demeanor of a disheveled man, looking at the black Bentley outside – a truly beautiful car, fitting for Leo, Fu Xiaoyu.

In reality, it wasn’t that easy to acquire the car. It wasn’t readily available in B City, and the time was tight. So he had asked someone to bring the desired top-of-the-line imported model from an out-of-town dealership.

He had been thinking of getting a new car for Fu Xiaoyu. Not because he cared much about Fu Xiaoyu driving a sports car to work every day, but from a practical standpoint, he wished Fu Xiaoyu could have a more comfortable car for commuting.

But as he stood there looking at the car, Xu Jiale couldn’t help but be reminded of Fu Xiaoyu. No, not just reminded.

Damn it, he really missed Fu Xiaoyu.

It had been two days since Fu Xiaoyu went to Vietnam, and tomorrow would be his birthday. However, it seemed that the Omega had no intention of coming back.

Their contact had been limited, perhaps because both of them were very busy, or perhaps due to an unspoken understanding, which led to them exchanging only a few WeChat messages each day.

Xu Jiale glanced at his watch; it was already past eleven.

He couldn’t take it anymore. He emptied his glass of whiskey and then staggered over to the sofa to grab his phone.

When Xu Jiale called, Fu Xiaoyu was at a pub in Ho Chi Minh City, along with several business partners he had met this time, and Wen Huaixuan.

It was quite a coincidence, almost unbelievably so.

Recently, the marketing department of the Love app had launched a campaign. They would regularly select couples who had met and formed a successful relationship through the app and offer them free hotel and flight expenses for their honeymoon trips.

Fu Xiaoyu’s proposal had been approved by Wen Ke, and the final chosen partner for this cooperation was the luxury hotel brand Liam.

And it so happened that Liam was Wen Huaixuan’s family business.

Initially, Wen Huaixuan didn’t pay much attention to these minor matters, but when he coincidentally learned that Fu Xiaoyu was Wen Ke’s business partner, he became interested and invited Fu Xiaoyu to discuss it in detail.

In the process of contacting each other through WeChat, they realized that both of them were currently in Ho Chi Minh City. Fu Xiaoyu was there on a business trip, and Wen Huaixuan was there because his family would open hotels in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

“Hello? Xu Jiale?”

In the midst of the noisy music, Fu Xiaoyu had to cover one ear on the other end to hear the voice.

“Hello!” Xu Jiale’s on the other end was somewhat hoarse, probably due to the raised tone, sounding somewhat like shouting. “Fu Xiaoyu, are you out having fun?”

“Yeah. I’m at a pub.”

“You’re not coming back, are you?” Xu Jiale asked.

“Seems like it,” Fu Xiaoyu initially had a somewhat indifferent tone, but then, as if unable to control it, he said, “Xu Jiale…”

He really missed Xu Jiale.

There was sudden silence on the other end.

Fu Xiaoyu suddenly became agitated. He made a gesture to Wen Huaixuan and walked out by himself. Everything suddenly became quiet.

“I want to wish you a happy birthday.” Xu Jiale on the other end of the phone sounded dejected, clearly drunk, and his voice was hoarse. “It’s almost midnight, and I wanted to be the first to wish you a happy birthday.”
