Evil Love Appears chapter 10
Spending the night in a bed an unfamiliar omega had been was an unusual experience, even for Xu Jiale. Moreover, Fu Xiaoyu’s pheromones were just too sweet, aggressively sweet, so sweet it made him feel annoyed and even slightly nauseous—
He had to push the overly sweet-smelling blankets aside and pull out his phone to search for what this magnolia flower was all about. The flowers that came up in the search were so vibrant in color that they almost hurt his eyes, and the leaves were lush and green.
This kind of overly extravagant and slightly tacky flower was definitely not in line with his aesthetics. No wonder it had such a powerful fragrance.
But at a closer look, this flower’s temperament did have a bit of Fu Xiaoyu in it, with a determination to spread its petals and ask, “Do you admit that I’m beautiful?” right in someone’s face.
Xu Jiale continued scrolling through the description and saw that the flower was also closely related to one known as “Snow Mud” and its flower language was desire and gorgeous beauty. He couldn’t help but pause for a moment.
Snow Mud…
He suddenly thought of the small red moles with star-like patterns that peeked out from Fu Xiaoyu’s collarbone.
Fu Xiaoyu was a rare omega in everyday life, the kind that could be called a snow-skinned beauty. Those hidden red moles on his body were like drops of blood scattered on the snow.
Xu Jiale took a deep breath, abruptly got up, and went to the bathroom to wash his face. However, at the moment he turned on the faucet, he suddenly realized something strange—
Didn’t Fu Xiaoyu say the faucet was broken?
His expression became subtly strange.
But then he nonchalantly lowered his head and splashed cold water on his face.
For that split second, he had wanted Fu Xiaoyu’s body earlier. An alpha could deceive his brain, but not his lower half.
It wasn’t out of affection, but rather out of the desire to provoke Jin Chu’s emotions.
He knew Jin Chu so well.
Jin Chu’s emotional pattern was like that of a child; he was Jin Chu’s most relied-upon and most expensive toy. Even when he got tired of it, got new toys, and even when he slept with other toys, Jin Chu would always remember him. He would occasionally use his hand to confirm his presence. Jin Chu wouldn’t allow this toy to be easily taken away by others.
He was Jin Chu’s best choice, and this was the confidence of the pride of heaven.
While divorce was lonely and forced him to interrupt his studies to return home and change his mood, Xu Jiale was still sure he didn’t need to rush to reconcile with Jin Chu.
Once he had a better omega, he knew Jin Chu would come back.
Strangely, he could clearly see Jin Chu’s motives, but he didn’t feel as sad as others might.
Was it really that sad to be a toy?
Xu Jiale laughed at himself in the mirror. Actually, it wasn’t.
Living in this world, there were times when you overestimated your own subjectivity. But as long as you were alive, there would come a time when you’d be someone’s plaything, someday, sometime, eventually. The only difference was what you were being played by.
In his opinion, being a sexual toy for omegas was a blessing.
Why did Fu Xiaoyu lie and say the faucet was broken though?
Although Xu Jiale found it amusing, he didn’t really care.
He straightened up, patted his face with cold water again, and smiled lazily at himself, saying, “Hey, you need to stay away from Fu Xiaoyu.”
If there was one thing he hated the most, it was probably not loneliness, betrayal, or failure, but losing control.
…
After the celebration that night, Xu Jiale enlisted the help of several students and professors in his academic circle who specialized in the same field in B city to continue designing the content for the final stages of the love project. He planned to reduce his frequency of going to the company and provide remote assistance if needed.
On one hand, he did intend to keep his distance from Fu Xiaoyu.
On the other hand, it could be considered a vacation, spending more time with Xia’an at home and watching movies.
Of course, this was his ideal state.
But Fu Xiaoyu didn’t allow his application for leave.
When Xu Jiale saw the rejected leave application on DingTalk, he was stunned.
“Winning over Blue Rain was just the first step, and the next three months are a critical period for product development. I won’t allow anyone to leave their post,” Fu Xiaoyu said directly while looking at the presentation on Hu Xia’s computer.
He took a sip of the espresso his assistant handed him, frowned suddenly, and said in a low voice, “What’s this? Did you add sugar?”
Fu Xiaoyu’s assistant, Wang Xiaoshan, had just returned from his hometown after completing some tasks, and in his momentary busyness, he didn’t realize the mistake. Hearing Fu Xiaoyu’s question, he nervously replied, “There’s a new receptionist, and I…”
“The receptionist is new, but you’re not. Why didn’t you remind her?” Fu Xiaoyu said without mercy. “Wang Xiaoshan, you can make mistakes, but don’t shirk responsibility.”
Wang Xiaoshan, a sweet-looking male omega, turned red with embarrassment when he was scolded in public and bit his lip.
Xu Jiale rolled his eyes in his mind, walked over and calmly took the coffee from Fu Xiaoyu’s hand, and placed it on his desk. He said to Wang Xiaoshan, “Go buy another cup without sugar. This one’s for me.”
“Thank you, Xu Ge,” Wang Xiaoshan replied quietly.
“And this time go yourself, don’t ask the receptionist to do it,” Fu Xiaoyu said.
“So, are you saying that no one in the company can take a leave for the next three months?” Xu Jiale redirected the conversation.
“I said that leave requests must have a valid reason. Personal leave cannot exceed one day, and sick leave cannot exceed three days. You were absent for four days last week. Also, you need to stay tonight; I want to discuss the arrangements for the future,” Fu Xiaoyu said without giving Xu Jiale any room for argument.
Every sentence uttered by Fu Xiaoyu left no time for Xu Jiale to respond.
Xu Jiale silently drank the espresso he had been scolded for, feeling that there wasn’t enough sugar in it. When working with Fu Xiaoyu, everyone needed coffee with extra sugar.
He didn’t intend to argue with Fu Xiaoyu in front of everyone, but he also didn’t plan to comply. He had already made plans to go swimming at the Shangri-La Hotel with Amon and Ningzi.
As soon as it struck six o’clock in the evening, he said goodbye to the others in the company and left in his car.
He had no intention of paying any attention to Fu Xiaoyu, so he disconnected from DingTalk and didn’t even bother to check his messages.
…………………
After swimming a couple of laps at the hotel, he started to feel hungry. So, wearing only his swimming trunks and wrapping a towel around himself, he went to the nearby buffet area to get some pastries. However, as soon as he sat down, the glass table was tapped with fingertips.
Xu Jiale raised his head and was left speechless, “You…?”
It was none other than the persistent Fu Xiaoyu. How did he even know Xu Jiale was here? Xu Jiale’s tone became somewhat irritated, “How did you know I was here?”
“Xu Ge, it was Hu Xia who told us that you went swimming,” Wang Xiaoshan explained weakly from the side.
“Xu Jiale…” Fu Xiaoyu stared at him, his big eyes filled with anger, and he said firmly, “What are you up to?”
“I—”
I don’t need you to manage my actions.
Xu Jiale thought about saying that.
When Fu Xiaoyu was angry, his lips tightened, making him look fierce, completely different from the last time when he had been overwhelmed with panic while pinned down on the bed by Xu Jiale.
But that night…
Xu Jiale remembered the red moles on his body.
In the end, Xu Jiale simply scooted over, took a napkin, and gestured for Fu Xiaoyu and Wang Xiaoshan to sit down. “What do you want to discuss? Talk now while I eat.”
“Ge, you…”
Wang Xiaoshan’s innocent face showed signs of distress. He glanced at Xu Jiale, who was wearing only swim trunks and a towel, and said, “How about you put on some clothes before we talk?”
However, to their surprise, Fu Xiaoyu, without hesitation, sat down and motioned for Wang Xiaoshan to take out his MacBook and open the PowerPoint presentation.
As Xu Jiale ate his cheese cake and watched the presentation, he barely spent less than three minutes on it. Just as Amon and Ningzi, who had finished their swimming session, came over, they happened to witness Xu Jiale working again with the same omega as last time.
“Xu Ge… Ah, work again?” they both said and then gave Xu Jiale a few suggestive glances. However, Fu Xiaoyu was completely absorbed in the presentation and didn’t notice them at all.
“Fu Xiaoyu,” Xu Jiale wiped his mouth with a napkin, looked at the serious side profile of the omega next to him, and suddenly said, “My friends have been secretly asking me if you like me. Why do you always chase after me after work?”
“Ah…” Wang Xiaoshan was almost scared out of his wits by this sudden revelation.
“What?” Fu Xiaoyu furrowed his brows and raised his head, momentarily not understanding.
“I mean, my friends all think you like me. I’m starting to think it’s true,” Xu Jiale shrugged, smirking.
For a moment, Fu Xiaoyu didn’t react.
“Tell me, Is it true?” Xu Jiale raised his eyebrows, smiling ambiguously.
