I Only Want You chapter 59
Extra 4 Sub CP
Yang Xiaole answered the phone, not only unapologetic but also boldly justified, “No reason.”
“Why are you avoiding me?”
“Who’s avoiding you? Don’t talk nonsense. I’m just attending the company team-building. You can consider it part of my job. It’s a good thing – eating, playing, and getting paid. Only a fool would miss out. That’s it. If you have anything, wait for me to come back. Bye.”
After saying this, Yang Xiaole quickly hung up the phone and activated airplane mode on his mobile.
Regardless of how Bian Xianyang tried to call him afterward, all attempts ended in failure. Despite this, he still harbored a bit of hope, wondering if Yang Xiaole was just playing a prank on him. Maybe when he returned home, he would find him waiting for him instead of participating in some company-organized team-building activity.
With a complicated mix of emotions, including a hint of hope, he rushed back home overnight. When he pushed open the door, it was already 2:30 in the morning. The house was pitch dark, without a single light on, and eerily silent.
Bian Xianyang changed into indoor shoes, turned on the lights, and walked inside. He headed straight to the master bedroom. Upon opening the door, he found it empty, with not a single wrinkle on the bed large enough for four people.
This made him furrow his brows and walk towards the wardrobe. It was evident that some of Yang Xiaole’s clothes were missing. The main bedroom’s bathroom lacked Yang Xiaole’s electric toothbrush and mouthwash cup. All his skincare products had been taken, leaving the bathroom feeling empty. The emptiness inside mirrored the void in Bian Xianyang’s heart, creating an unpleasant feeling.
So, this was what it was like being left at home.
At the same time, Yang Xiaole, who had already rested in the hotel room, whether due to not recognizing the bed or missing the person at home too much, tossed and turned for hours without falling asleep. Even with closed eyes, sleep eluded him.
He didn’t regret joining the company team-building and going to the mountains despite Bian Xianyang finally finishing filming and returning home. As he told Bian Xianyang on the phone, he intentionally did this because he felt displeased.
Before coming here, he thought he would be happy, but reality was completely different. Even his colleagues could see that his mind was elsewhere.
“Xiao Yang, did you not sleep well? Your complexion looks quite bad.”
“Yeah.” Yang Xiaole looked at the grilled shrimp on the plate, blinked slowly, and said, “I didn’t sleep well. I was worried about my dog at home, afraid it didn’t eat or drink.”
“Didn’t you leave water and dog food?”
“I did, but I’m afraid it’s not enough for him.”
“Don’t you have security cameras at home? I heard there are services where someone can come to feed your pets. You can place an order and have someone check on your dog.”
Yang Xiaole shook his head. “My house doesn’t have a password lock. I need to use a key to open the door, and there are no security cameras.”
A colleague patted him on the shoulder comfortingly. “Don’t think too much. What could happen in just two days? We’ll be going back tomorrow afternoon.”
Yang Xiaole forced a smile and didn’t say anything more.
In reality, there was a signal in the mountains, and the hotel also had WiFi. However, he couldn’t bring himself to actively contact Bian Xianyang because that would expose the fact that he wasn’t having much fun on this trip and seemed preoccupied with thoughts of home. Even though it was true, he didn’t want Bian Xianyang to know, making him appear inferior.
He endured not connecting his phone to data and WiFi, resisted contacting Bian Xianyang, and successfully solidified his image as someone who adored dogs. Female colleagues from the company comforted him, saying they wanted to see pictures of the dog.
Yang Xiaole didn’t have any dog pictures to show them. He couldn’t say that the dog he was thinking about, the one he didn’t have the mood to play with, was their beloved Yang Yang. He could only brush it off.
Finally, after enduring until Sunday, Yang Xiaole turned off the airplane mode on his phone and connected to the internet to log into WeChat.
WeChat, which had been closed since Friday evening, exploded with new messages. Among them, Bian Xianyang’s chat box was the most active.
Opening it and scanning briefly, Yang Xiaole’s cheeks blazed as if on fire. He typed with trembling fingers to scold him.
“Shameless! Aren’t you embarrassed to send such messages?”
Bian Xianyang replied instantly.
“Why should I be embarrassed?”
“What do you think!!”
“When are you coming back?”
“… Soon. I should be home before 4 PM.”
“Okay, I made the winter melon and shrimp soup you like. We have steak for dinner. Hurry back.”
“I know, and I bought you a gift.”
“What gift?”
“What do you think the mountains have?”
Bian Xianyang’s reply was a voice message, “I don’t know. I don’t like that mountain. Even if there’s gold, I don’t like it.”
Listening to the short voice message several times, Yang Xiaole couldn’t help but smile.
“That sounds like you have a grudge.”
“I don’t deny it.”
Sitting on the bus returning home, Yang Xiaole was probably the happiest he had been in these two days. Familiar colleagues beside him were teasing him about eagerly going home to walk the dog, while he sat in the back, hugging an eco-friendly bag filled with bamboo shoots and chestnuts, smiling without saying a word.
The bus brought all of them to the company building. Due to the large number of items he brought back, Yang Xiaole couldn’t conveniently take the subway. Instead, he had to take a taxi home, and by the time he got off outside the community gate, it was already past 4 PM.
Because the return time was different from what he had said, Yang Xiaole felt a bit guilty when he took out his keys to open the door. Not to mention when he pushed the door open and saw Bian Xianyang, wearing home clothes, standing with his hands in his pockets in the sunken foyer.
Yang Xiaole glanced at him. “Traffic jam. It wasn’t intentional…”
Bian Xianyang didn’t say anything either, reaching out to take the heavy bags from him. “Did you have fun?”
“I did. It was lively with many people.”
Yang Xiaole changed his shoes and followed him into the house. Watching him put the eco-friendly bag on the coffee table, he added, “It’s bamboo shoots and chestnuts, specifically brought for you.”
Bian Xianyang nodded, opened the bag, and looked inside. “Thank you.”
Feeling a bit unable to bear the awkward atmosphere between them, Yang Xiaole put down his backpack and asked, “How many days can you stay this time?”
“Three days, leaving tomorrow night.”
“Oh.” Yang Xiaole was already used to it and wasn’t too surprised. “When will you be back?”
“The day after tomorrow.”
Yang Xiaole looked at him in confusion, and Bian Xianyang explained, “Just attending a brand event.”
“I see.”
“Do you need to take a shower first?”
This somewhat ambiguous question made Yang Xiaole blush. He cautiously moved to the other side, away from him, holding onto the sofa’s backrest. “… I don’t want to take a shower so soon.”
Bian Xianyang raised an eyebrow and walked toward him. As Yang Xiaole moved, they circled around the sofa and coffee table.
Bian Xianyang wasn’t angry, and he looked at him with a half-smile. “What are you doing?”
“I’m just feeling that your current aura is a bit intimidating, so I wanted to keep a little distance from you.”
“Come here, let me hug you.”
Yang Xiaole shook his head. “Calm down first.”
“Think about it. If you don’t come over now, I’ll catch you later, and don’t cry, crying won’t help.”
Yang Xiaole was intimidated, standing there dumbfounded, unwilling to admit defeat. “You’re threatening me.”
“Not a threat.”
“This isn’t considered a threat?” Yang Xiaole pouted as if greatly wronged, walking towards him. “What do you want to do?”
Bian Xianyang extended his arm and pulled him into an embrace, lowering his head to nibble on his sensitive ear. “Can’t say.”
Yang Xiaole’s ears were very sensitive, sensitive to the touch of others. However, Bian Xianyang was not “others.” He could not only touch but also bite. The bite left shallow imprints on the upper part, making it turn red. Provoked, Yang Xiaole, in turn, approached him, kissing the corner of his eye.
“Baby, did you have fun?”
With teary eyes, Yang Xiaole, feeling weak in the legs, said, “I’ll expose you, you ear-biting pervert.”
Bian Xianyang tightly hugged his waist, persistently asking, “Was it fun?”
“Not fun, not fun at all, not even a bit fun, okay?”
“Will you go next time?”
Yang Xiaole raised his hand to cover his ears. “Yes.”
Bian Xianyang had a thousand ways to tease him, each move effective. Every move could anger Yang Xiaole to the point of calling him a pervert, but every move worked.
When Yang Xiaole was carried over his shoulder, he was still clueless about what Bian Xianyang was about to do. It wasn’t until he was placed on the dining table, and Bian Xianyang squeezed between his legs, that he felt his heart soar from the stimulation of this vulgar posture and action, causing his limbs to go numb.
“What, what do you want to do?”
Bian Xianyang rubbed against him over their clothes, his eyes fixed on him. “Will you go next time?”
Yang Xiaole’s face turned red. Even through the fabric, he could feel it, not to mention the alternating pressure and teasing from Bian Xianyang.
This kind of stimulation was different from the gentle and seductive foreplay, having a savage and harsh passion. It was so primitive that it was impossible to look directly at, yet it was addictive.
Biting his collar and listening to the friction of clothes in his ears, Yang Xiaole’s physiological tears fell, and they were kissed away by Bian Xianyang.
“If you don’t say you won’t go next time, I won’t let you go.” After saying that, he turned his face and avoided Yang Xiaole’s approaching kiss. “Nor will I kiss you.”
Frustrated, Yang Xiaole lay on the dining table, lifting his arm to shield his eyes, suppressing the moans from his lips. “I won’t say it. If you go to work, I can also go out and have fun too. I don’t have to come home. This time, I went out for two days. Next time, I’ll go out for five days, a week. I’ll get longer each time, and I won’t come home if you also don’t come home.”
Hearing this, Bian Xianyang suddenly stopped all movements. The arm hugging Yang Xiaole’s thigh was also released.
He pulled up the person lying on the dining table. Without forcibly removing Yang Xiaole’s arm covering his eyes, he just leaned his head against his shoulder. “These days I haven’t come home, I was seriously thinking about what to do between us.”
Yang Xiaole sniffed. “So, what have you figured out?”
“My contract with the company has another year and a half. After it expires, I won’t renew it.”
Yang Xiaole was stunned, slowly lowering his arm to look at him with teary eyes. “I want you to stay with me, but I didn’t ask you to give up your job.”
“I’m not giving up. I just won’t renew the contract with the company. Anyway, the band won’t continue until then because the drummer has already hinted that he doesn’t want to renew.”
Yang Xiaole looked at him in puzzlement.
Bian Xianyang thought for a moment and said, “I want to establish my own studio, arrange my own work. I like music, writing songs, and singing. It’s not a good thing to always follow the company’s arrangements and be stuck on the set. I also don’t want our relationship to cool down because of this. So, since the band won’t be complete by then, I don’t need to stay.”
Yang Xiaole listened with concern. “Is that possible? Your company is not an easy one. Will they try to make things difficult for you?”
Bian Xianyang couldn’t help but chuckle. “The contract is ending amicably. They can’t make things difficult for me just because I’m not renewing. Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
Yang Xiaole looked at him with a half-believing expression.
Bian Xianyang leaned his forehead against his shoulder. “Sorry, I was a bit out of line just now.”
“It wasn’t just a bit.”
“Just endure a bit longer, endure for another year and a half.”
“I got it, I’ll endure.”
Bian Xianyang lifted his face to kiss him. “Say you love me.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too. So, can I continue being improper?”
