As it turns out, modern university students aren’t the kind to give up easily and resort to crawling through dog holes.

The exit Gu Nuan intended to use was indeed a back door, but it was somewhat concealed by the vegetation growing on the wall. Instead, what drew attention was the nearby dog hole.

Han Yang had mentioned it without noticing the door until now, and he felt a bit embarrassed, almost biting his tongue.

Gu Nuan looked puzzled, not understanding what Han Yang was talking about. After a while, he finally realized and stared at the dog hole for a moment before glancing back at Han Yang.

Fortunately, Gu Nuan was not only good at finding a way out for himself but also at providing one for others. He pointed to the inconspicuous back door and said to Han Yang, “I’ll go through this door; the dog hole is too small for me to crawl through.”

Their dormitory didn’t allow large dogs, so even the dog holes were small-sized.

Han Yang nodded slightly. “Alright,” he said. “It’s getting late; Go inside.”

Gu Nuan placed his hand on the door handle but didn’t push it. Instead, he turned back toward Han Yang. “Brother, about what we were talking about earlier…” He grabbed the hem of Han Yang’s clothes, a habit he couldn’t shake off from childhood. Whenever he wanted to act cute, he’d use this move. “I don’t have many classes this semester. Can I come to your place often?”

Han Yang didn’t immediately agree.

Gu Nuan didn’t want to pressure Han Yang, so he bit his lower lip. “Never mind if it’s inconvenient,” he said. He let go of Han Yang’s clothes and twiddled his fingers on the edge of Han Yang’s shirt. “Is it okay if I visit occasionally? I’ll come and go quickly, just to see you and not disturb your work.”

Looking at Han Yang, who was hesitating, Gu Nuan couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious. “I won’t come over without letting you know first.”

“Okay,” Han Yang replied, but he still didn’t sound fully convinced.

With permission granted, Gu Nuan felt elated. He hugged Han Yang’s arm and rubbed it gently. “I’ll go inside now.”

Han Yang chuckled at his enthusiasm. His lips curved slightly, and there was always a warm look in his eyes when he looked at Gu Nuan, like he was gazing at a soft, gentle light.

However, life is full of surprises, and the dormitory’s back door was one of them.

Gu Nuan waved goodbye to Han Yang and reached for the door handle with one hand, ready to push it open.

To his surprise, the door wouldn’t budge.

Gu Nuan was stubborn and tried pushing it again, but it still didn’t open. He reluctantly turned around and found that Han Yang had come over. “Is it stuck? Can’t open it?”

“It seems to be locked,” Gu Nuan replied, detecting the scent of mint from Han Yang. He held onto his backpack. “Brother, you still have something to do, right? You should go; I’ll sit at the convenience store for a while.”

In his attempt to avoid the senior from his department, Gu Nuan ended up unable to enter the dormitory.

Han Yang, however, didn’t feel at ease leaving him. “Why are you trying to avoid him?”

Gu Nuan couldn’t bring himself to say it. He didn’t want Han Yang to know that this handsome alpha was pursuing him, especially when he wanted to wholeheartedly pursue Han Yang.

But Han Yang didn’t know about Gu Nuan being pursued by someone and assumed that Gu Nuan was being harassed. He glanced at the time and told Gu Nuan, “I’ll make him leave.”

“No need!” Gu Nuan pulled Han Yang’s hand. “He’ll probably leave in a while.”

But Han Yang was getting impatient. It wasn’t directed at Gu Nuan, but rather at everything making Gu Nuan uncomfortable.

“Brother, you can go now.”

Ignoring Gu Nuan’s words, Han Yang headed straight for the main entrance of the dormitory. Gu Nuan wanted to stop him, but Han Yang was now too tall and strong for him to hold back.

Han Yang stopped in his tracks, his clenched fists going stiff.

Holding onto him, Gu Nuan, blushing, said, “I’ve rejected him several times, but he keeps pursuing me. He seems like a decent person and hasn’t bullied me. He even brings me food, but I never accept it. I’ve told him that I don’t like him.”

He emphasized the last sentence one more time, right in front of Han Yang. “I really don’t like him.”

Gu Nuan bit his lip, hugging Han Yang and feeling his heart racing.

He couldn’t confess his feelings too soon, so he practiced saying it in his heart.

At 6:40 in the evening, the persistent senior still hadn’t left, waiting for Gu Nuan’s return to the campus.

There were many mosquitoes below the dormitory building, and even the most handsome person couldn’t escape getting a few bug bites.

The senior patted the mosquitoes while stomping his feet. Many familiar classmates passed by, teasing him knowingly, “Oh, Yu Yi, you’re still waiting for that junior of yours?”

Yu Yi smiled and said with determination, “Yeah, he has class tomorrow morning. He should be back today, right?”

He took out his phone, checked the time, and opened a number from his contacts. After hesitating several times, he decided not to call. Even though Gu Nuan didn’t want to give him his number, it was a small matter, and he could obtain it with a little effort. However, Yu Yi didn’t want to make Gu Nuan uncomfortable. He thought he’d wait a little longer, and if Gu Nuan still didn’t come by 8:00, he’d leave.

“At 11:00.”

“It’s still early. I can escort you back.”

Even though he knew that Gu Nuan and the senior were at the same school and would frequently run into each other, at this moment, Han Yang didn’t want Gu Nuan to go over. 

Han Yang was feeling jealous, even though Gu Nuan had no interest in that alpha.

During the brief silence as he waited for an answer, Han Yang’s hand trembled slightly. “Do you want to come with me?”
