Blazing fire is hard to extinguish

Blazing fire is hard to extinguish chapter 11

No Loss

It wasn’t until he was on his way to the hotel that Li Tingyan had the chance to take a closer look at the photo Lin Chi had sent him.

On a bright afternoon, receiving such a photo was undoubtedly a tease, an invitation.

But he didn’t plan to avoid his own desires.

He easily took the bait, and his mood relaxed a bit on the way to the hotel.

He had been seeing Lin Chi steadily for two months now.

That a one-night stand could develop into something so lasting was something Li Tingyan had not anticipated.

But Lin Chi was interesting—beautiful, lively, arrogant, and willful, like a blazing fire, full of surprises. Every time he was with Lin Chi, he was easily attracted, even guided, and many worries were forgotten.

So he hadn’t yet suggested ending things with him.

When he arrived at the hotel, he went up to the 13th floor and walked to the familiar suite. He opened the door, went in, and as expected, found Lin Chi already waiting for him.

Very unreservedly.

Lin Chi was already in a bathrobe, a loosely worn white silk robe that barely stayed on, exposing his slender collarbones, rounded shoulders, slim waist, and snow-white back.

He was wearing less than he was revealing.

Flirtatious, yet as light as mountain mist, his gaze could even be described as innocent as he looked at Li Tingyan with a half-smile.

Such a person appearing on his bed was a real test of self-control.

Li Tingyan’s eyes flickered.

“You’re so slow.” Lin Chi had been flipping through a fashion magazine, and when he saw Li Tingyan come over, he sat up with a turn, causing the already loose robe to sway, on the verge of falling off.

Li Tingyan walked over, helped Lin Chi pull up the robe a bit, and handed him an overly cute pink bag.

“I bought you donuts and milk tea, which delayed me a bit.”

Just as he had left the office, Lin Chi suddenly messaged him, saying he wanted to eat a new item from a popular shop near his office and asked him to bring it over.

Actually, it wasn’t on the way at all.

The driver had already driven a block away, but he still went back, and because he hadn’t had his assistant queue up in advance, he paid a high price to get a portion from a customer.

So now he could hand the bag to Lin Chi.

“Ah, thanks.” Lin Chi perked up, opened the box, and was satisfied to see the donuts inside.

He picked a sugar-coated donut and took a satisfied bite, some sugar sticking to his lips.

“Aren’t you dieting lately? Eating something so high in calories,” Li Tingyan asked.

Since he’d known Lin Chi, while Lin Chi’s appetite wasn’t to the point of fasting, he had always eaten healthily and spent every other day at the gym.

It was rare to see him indulging like this.

“I need to have a cheat meal occasionally,” Lin Chi defended himself. “Who can stand boiled eggs and salad with protein powder every day?”

True.

Li Tingyan didn’t say more, but his eyes kept glancing at the sugar on Lin Chi’s donut and the opened milk tea.

In theory, he didn’t accept anyone eating on his bed.

Not even the hotel bed.

But Lin Chi liked it and had a bunch of twisted logic, saying that it felt freer and more relaxed, making eating more enjoyable.

They had debated this before, but Lin Chi killed the argument with one sentence.

Lin Chi glared at him, “I already bottom for you, and you won’t even let me eat? What kind of top are you?”

With that, Li Tingyan conceded he was in the wrong.

Lin Chi had never topped since they started seeing each other.

Not even a 9:1 ratio; it was more like 99:1, and Lin Chi was quite resentful about it, leaving bite marks on  Li Tingyan’s shoulder several times in frustration.

Being the one who gained the actual benefit and still being so intolerant was indeed his fault.

But although Li Tingyan kept quiet, his slight germophobia instinctively acted up, his gaze repeatedly darting to Lin Chi’s lips.

Lin Chi glanced at him and knew what he was thinking.

He deliberately tore off a piece of his donut, leaned forward, and brought it to Li Tingyan’s mouth.

“Want a bite? It’s really good.”

Li Tingyan dodged left and right but couldn’t avoid it in the end and was forced to take a bite.

Creamy.

Sweet and heavy with sugar.

He frowned after one bite, feeling like he had eaten poison.

Lin Chi laughed heartily; he loved seeing Li Tingyan helpless against him.

But after teasing someone, one must give them a sweet reward.

Lin Chi knew this well.

He quickly finished the remaining donut, took a sip of milk tea, wiped his hands with a wet wipe by the bed, and sat on the bed boldly, saying to Li Tingyan, “Come here.”

What else could he be here for?

They weren’t high schoolers sneaking out for a date, innocently chatting under the covers.

He was here to fulfill his desires.

Seeing Lin Chi’s carefree manner, Li Tingyan wanted to laugh.

Lin Chi’s overly bold tone diluted the romantic atmosphere in the room.

But he still slowly took off his suit jacket, removed his watch, and walked to the bed, kneeling on one knee at the edge.

He was already taller than Lin Chi, and this posture made him tower over Lin Chi even more, completely encircling him in his arms.

He smelled the familiar fig scent from Lin Chi’s hair, the scent of his usual shower gel.

“Did you take a bath?” he asked softly.

Lin Chi felt his warm breath as he spoke, and his ears felt a little itchy.

“Yeah.”

He raised his hand, grabbed Li Tingyan’s shirt, and lifted his eyebrows slightly, almost provocatively.

“There was nothing to do while waiting for you anyway.”

As soon as he said that, he kissed Li Tingyan, and the two became entangled in a familiar way.

Li Tingyan’s shirt fell to the ground.

The soft bed sank deeply, and Lin Chi felt a bite on his Adam’s apple, letting out a pained hiss, but soon retaliated by biting back.

….

The session in bed lasted until nearly midnight.

Lin Chi lay on the bed, his damp hair sticking to his face, panting slightly from exhaustion.

But looking at Li Tingyan beside him, who still seemed to have energy left, he felt very unwilling.

He couldn’t help but compare. When he was top before, did he have as much stamina as Li Tingyan? Those flirtatious bottoms used to sweet-talk him, clinging to him passionately, praising him endlessly.

But now, looking at Li Tingyan, he seriously wondered if those praises had any truth to them.

Yet, he thought nonchalantly, he wasn’t at a loss.

Being with Li Tingyan gave him pleasure, and even if they broke up in the future, he could always find other beautiful little lovers, and his skills in bed would likely improve further.

His reputation might become even more prominent.

Li Tingyan, unaware of what Lin Chi was thinking, picked him up and carried him to the bathroom.

Lin Chi was too lazy to resist now.

After being tormented so badly in bed, why not enjoy some of Li Tingyan’s service?

However, physical activity in bed already consumed a lot of energy, and bathing only made it worse.

After coming out, Lin Chi put on his shirt but stopped halfway, letting Li Tingyan take over—half-kneeling to fasten the garters on his legs.

How gentle.

He looked at Li Tingyan’s face and thought absentmindedly, someone born to be served didn’t mind lowering his head to do these trivial things for him.

After getting dressed, he sat on the bed, swinging his legs, and honestly said, “I’m hungry.”

He had only eaten a salad for dinner, and after coming over, he only had a donut and half a cup of milk tea, so he was indeed quite hungry.

Li Tingyan glanced at his watch; it was ten minutes to midnight.

“What do you want to eat?” he asked Lin Chi.

Lin Chi lay on the bed, flipping through his phone. His remaining sense of professionalism told him not to be too indulgent, but the pictures on his phone were too tempting, leaving him torn.

In the end, he chose a middle ground between dieting and indulgence, and went to a congee-based hot pot restaurant with Li Tingyan.

This was a place he frequented, located in a secluded alley but well-known, always crowded with people and long queues, with hardly any seats available before midnight.

Luckily, they arrived late that day and quickly got a table.

“Pick what you want, it’s on me,” Lin Chi said as he flipped through the menu. “Don’t be fooled by the old look of this place; the food is great. Many celebrities have been here,” he pointed to the wall, “see, there’s Tang Lili and Zhao Yilou.”

Tang Lili was a popular and charming singer from the last century, whom Lin Chi liked a lot, with her records in his collection.

Zhao Yilou was much younger, a recently crowned best actor. In the photo, he smiled brightly, looking very approachable.

Li Tingyan glanced at the wall without saying a word, having met Zhao Yilou at a social event once.

But as he flipped through the menu, he seemed distracted, lost in thought.

Lin Chi ordered a bunch of dishes, then noticed Li Tingyan’s inactivity.

“Why aren’t you ordering? Don’t you like this place, or are you not used to the environment?”

Compared to the high-end restaurants Li Tingyan usually visited, this small alley eatery was indeed much more casual.

But Lin Chi wondered, Li Tingyan wasn’t usually so picky.

Li Tingyan shook his head, “No, I’ve been here before.”

Oh?

Lin Chi was a bit surprised.

Li Tingyan refocused on the menu, simply ordering a few plates of beef and vegetables, then closed the menu and put it aside.

He drank lemon water, looking around calmly. Although it was midnight, the restaurant was still bustling, with every table occupied. The hot pot steam obscured faces, leaving only voices audible, creating a lively atmosphere.

Lin Chi peeled the free sunflower seeds on the table and asked, “Who did you come here with? I thought you wouldn’t visit such a budget-friendly place.”

It wasn’t a prejudice; he had seen Li Tingyan’s lavish lifestyle and couldn’t afford to share the costs.

If they did, he’d go broke.

But this question was just casual chatter, yet it unknowingly hit Li Tingyan’s sore spot.

Upon hearing it, Li Tingyan’s eyelashes drooped. In the noisy hot pot restaurant, amid the white steam, he softly replied, “Xu Mu brought me here.”
